Thanks I honestly don't think it was the resume or cover letter I've gotten compliments on both... I will try again though just trying to think of a positive reason why I didn't get it... maybe I'd be stuck with a weird schedule Lord knows I only want to work days

I meant for the second time around just critique your resume :)

Holy cow and you just got the call that you got the job? Or was this the call letting you know you passed BGC etc...?

***Nevermind you already answered that question above. So do you remember how long after you last interview you knew that they wanted to move forward with you? I'm waiting right now, and it killing me. I got an email this afternoon from Apple...I started crying. Then I realized it was just letting me know of another position that became available in my area. Whew!

Lol. Yeah that was just to confirm Backround cleared.

I received a call the day after my 3rd interview to job off. But, that was really fast. They said to expect 2 weeks! You should be just fine! What did you do before?

I apologize if this has been posted before, but would this job be a good fit for a second job? I have a steady 9-5 office job so I'd be interested in working nights and weekends. Also, I do some travel in the Fall.

I've been doing contract work for Oracle as an Implementation Specialist for the last 6 months but before that I worked from home doing tech support for an internet company. I love my job now but the hours got cut back when Oracle bought the company.

Not trying to be rude, but sometimes sounding overconfident can be a buzzkill for recruiters. Just saying. You sound really really confident in all your posts. Again, not trying to be rude, just honest.

Info on the background check, if anyone is curious or nervous about theirs:

Pretty much everything that could go wrong with it, did. A company had my dates of employment wrong (by a significant amount), and between the time I got the BGC-contingent offer (sometime around the first week of May?) and the day the BGC was completed, I was incorrectly charged with a crime (a friend was caught doing something. I was present but had no idea). The BGC found those two-day-old charges.

When it came back, I freaked out, and just waited for my rejection letter. I heard nothing back until around mid-June. A woman who represented herself as a third-party investigator, who would not be making a decision on my hiring, said she was collecting information about my misdemeanor charges. I answered questions about what happened and she told me someone would call me either way. No one ever asked about the incorrect job dates. To be fair, they said I worked there a year longer than I actually did (as in, I said I left in Aug 2010, they thought I left June 2011), and the job was my first job almost 5 years ago, and had nothing to do with Apple.

I was thrilled and shocked when I got my Welcome call on Monday this week. As a note, my criminal charges were already dismissed by the judge--not sure if that helped.

Anyway, four months after the day I did my application, I will begin my first day at Apple. So if your bgc doesn't come back clean, don't give up! It's a very slow process but Apple investigates it.

I am starting to think there is some geographic stuff coming into play. Like someone mentioned earlier, that they only want a certain number of people from each area or something like that.

Email yesterday to fill it out. Waiting my background for a start in august

Let your personality shine. Be super casual. Just like with customers immediately find something to build rapport with. My third guy had an office decked out in video game stuff. As a gamer i seized that oppurtuinty and that was half the call. But remember you have already shone you have the it they are looking for this is basically the closer.

Congrats! Any advice for the third interview? Mine is next week.

By the way, anyone know if the Aug 17th start date is doing graveyard shift? I was initially graveyard chat but the position they offered me before the bgc already started training weeks ago.

My start date is the 10th...... but I'm not just chat...
