Thanks I honestly don't think it was the resume or cover letter I've gotten compliments on both... I will try again though just trying to think of a positive reason why I didn't get it... maybe I'd be stuck with a weird schedule Lord knows I only want to work days

I know it worried me that you had a profile pic up. Apple is notoriously secretive and they don't like people posting about any of their processes and they do watch the forums. That's why most of us are very careful with no info & anonymity. It could be a possibility in why you weren't hired, especially if you feel really confident. I know I'm so paranoid that I didn't even use my main email or name when registering. Just an idea.

I did the exact same thing. I used my alternate email address and put nothing remotely close to any information related to me. I was not going to let this forum not allow me to get the position!

I actually wondered the same thing. Confidence is great, but I would never put a pic up of myself. Not in this regard. I also wondered whether if you were so confident that you came across as arrogant. I mean no disrespect saying that.

Having said that, absolutely reapply. I am in training at the moment and it is worth the effort. Truly amazing. I don't say that to rub it in, but more as encouragement. If you truly want this, apply again.

Same here. I have a token screen name, use it for just about everything but when I joined here, no sir! I most definitely would take the picture down. You've done FaceTime interviews with these folks, I know it sounds like a bunch of conspiracy theory but I've seen folks get fired from my old job for less. I think if you really want it then reapply in a few months. There are so many people on this forum who have tried for years and years, make it through the first and second interview and still don't get it. Don't give up if it's something you truly want. Also, you never know, this door closing might open another great opportunity for you. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees.

My start date is the 10th...... but I'm not just chat...
When your background check came back, did the adjudication status say "Meets company standards" or Pending? I'm just wondering, because my bgc came back with the "Meets company standards" on Friday July 3rd, but I have still not received a call from my recruiter. Most people seem to get their call within a few days of the "Meets company standards" adjudication

The standard seems to be within 2-5 business days. I received mine 2 days after the BGC was completed and 1 day after it showed "Meets company standards". If you don't receive a call within 5 business days I think it would be ok to contact your recruiter to ask them.
Thanks. I actually emailed him today because I don't know the exact start date of my training (he said the "end of July" when he called me offering the job contingent on bgc), and I have a family event on the 25th that I have to either make reservations for, or decline, by tomorrow evening. Hopefully I will hear something soon!!!

I was actually under the impression I was hired for a phone position....however, if it is chat I will be just as, if not more, than happy lol. I have no experience doing chat.....? I'm a pretty quick learner, though
If you are in the chat class... trust me you will never want to go back to phones again! I love chat, have gone back to a phone position and despised it! So glad to have the chat here at Apple!

I think I would actually prefer chat, but my interviews were all phone based...no chat demonstrations, etc. Now I am crossing my fingers that I somehow got transferred to a chat position lol

Meh, tomorrow marks two weeks from my final interview and still haven't heard anything yet
What was the time frame they gave you? 2 weeks, or 3 weeks (mine was "two to three weeks" lol. When I was in this part of the process, I literally marked the time frames on my calendar, and refused to allow myself to freak until the last day. If you haven't heard anything by day AFTER tomorrow, I would email or call my recruiter "just to touch base". Also, a lot of people seem to be taking vacations right now...that could be part of the hold up

Oh, yeah, if you're class starts that soon I would email too. My class doesn't start until August 10th so I have time. Anxiously awaiting the Welcome email. I'm supposed to receive my overnighted paperwork by next Friday.

Sweet. You sound on the same time frame as I. I got the "Ah Paperwork" email today. Had me set up an appointment time to take the 60 min call... It also states I will receive my overnight FedEx paperwork by tomorrow.

Start the same date!!!
