Yes, that is correct.
I had the screening and just one FaceTime. Then the apple guy said this was the last ft interview and they will let me know if I got the job or not in about 2 weeks. I worry I didn't make the cut..

No longer on a waiting list.

Question, ones that went to Apple to finish I-9 paperwork. Did you set that up through Apple's site? Or did you do that during the New Hire call?

its been almost 3 years since I did that, but I just walked in. No appointment needed.

Do you have the link to check the status? My boyfriend lost his... Still on the "in progress" screen for him... So nuts!! They don't mess around

The email you received is a link specific to each candidate. If you are getting to the page where is shows "In Progress" that is the current status. The waiting game is painful, but I'm hoping all worth it in the end!

Anyone else that is starting next Monday... Have you received the email from your management leader yet?

I thought they said we would get those emails on Sunday before?

ok so I received my offer call contingent on my bgc. they were having an issue verifying one of my previous places of employment. ive called hire right but they say they no longer have the bgc in their possession and to contact apple but when I log into the website it still shows in progress. so my questions is has this happened to anyone else and how long was it before you heard back from a recruiter. thanks for the info in advance

I'm sure you have seen here that most BGC status changes to completed and then the official call comes from Apple. That call can take a week or longer. Seeing as your status isn't changed, I don't think I'd wait if I were you.

Sounds like either the website status isn't changing and it is actually completed or something is messed up at Hire Right.

You should have contact information for your Apple Recruiter, I would email or call that person - they can tell you if they have it and you can discuss the issue of not being able to verify that employment if it even is an issue for them. I've read plenty of posts here were people thought it was going to be a problem and didn't end up causing any issues.

I'd also want to see the BGC for myself, if you do, you can go to HireRight.com and request a free copy. I would honestly do that first before contacting anyone so I knew exactly what was on the report so I could speak intelligently about it's content.
If they can't produce a report that will raise a red flag!

So sorry you have to go through this. I know how stressful this can be. Still waiting on my BGC status to complete..

Stay positive, it will all work out and you will be laughing about the mixup after your first year on the job!

It will be like that at most retail/support jobs with a company as big as Apple. Plus, we are at home so I can schedule presents and stuff with my kids around my schedule pretty easy.

You call the store & ask to speak to the Store Manager. Advised them what you need done and what's a good time to come in.

Sounds like like you don't want this that bad. Apple really isn't the only company that requires employees to work that holiday. Many companies require you to work at least one major holiday. As it is the Christmas holiday, where people make their most purchases, you can understand why they would need everyone.

I don't mean to sound rude but the truth is there are a thousand people out there who wish they had an opportunity to work for Apple but they didn't even get a chance. I would think long and hard about what u really are willing to sacrifice because if your not willing you may be wasting your time.

I think it's a valid concern - had this opportunity presented itself 15 years ago (when my children were very young) I would not have even pursued it.

Now that my kids are older (college), working retail over the holidays isn't a concern for me personally. I think if working over the winter holidays is bothering you now, it will bother you even more as the season approaches.

Sometimes opportunities present themselves at the wrong time. If your gut tells you, "no, this isn't right for me" then I think you should listen.

My .02 :)

As you said your former opportunity was in "retail" which I assuming was in the B&M environment. This is an at home opportunity which means you can schedule around your shift as the previous poster said. There is no way anyone can ever think that businesses that are retail compatible do not need a full staff for Christmas. You can open gifts on Christmas Eve at midnight which I'm sure kids are going to love even more than the actual Christmas morning.

Sigh

Had my third interview Friday. Still haven't heard anything. It's for the October iOS class and I'm seeing people get their calls after only a few hours. I studied for days for each interview and I really feel like I knocked it out of the park.

If you haven't received the "no thank you" email by now than I wouldn't worry, some people had to wait up to a week to find out. I was lucky and only had to wait 24 hours but its the differences of recruiters and how busy they truly are.
