Just passed my BGC and am waiting on the manager to email me. I'm supposed to start September 21st I believe.
I've been lurking on here for the past 2 months, so I thought I'd share my application timeline as an example.
I applied July 25th online, and got a call back 3 days later. I had applied earlier in February and never heard anything, so I wasn't really expecting anything. It was a quick 10-15 minute phone call telling me about the position and making sure I still wanted it. Then a few "what if's" and "what's your background" type questions. She then sent me an email with a time for a FaceTime interview with a recruiter and a link to finish my application. It was just a lot of verification.
My FaceTime interview was a week later, and it went great. The guy I talked to had done this job for a while, moved up to Tier 2, and management and now was a recruiter. He said I was above average in almost everything, but he told me to work on my empathy for my 3rd interview, so I felt pretty confident about it. We both hit it off at the start because we're both hockey fans, which helped, but they really want to see your personality, and how you act giving someone instructions, and of course how you show empathy. At the end of the interview he mentioned that this job is a good foot in the door with the company, and that people he started with are now engineers or working other jobs on the Apple campus, so it was really motivating.
My 3rd interview was a little tough. The questions she asked were similar to the prior interview, but more in-depth. She didn't give much feedback, and afterwards I started second guessing everything. I didn't think I did that well since I didn't solve both of the role-playing scenarios, but again they're look for empathy and interaction with customers, not tech-saviness.
It seemed like everyone on here heard back within 48 hours, so after 2 days I figured that was it. I got a call back from my recruiter over a week later with the contingent offer, so don't think if you don't hear back immediately that you're not going to get hired.
So now I'm waiting to hear back, and excited to get started! Any idea how long it'll take?
