I had my third interview yesterday. I'm not sure how it went, some parts went really well and some I think I could have done better on. She said I should hear something in 2-3 weeks, which is going to feel like 2-3 months to me.

I have a few questions I wasn't able to find it in the 200 previous pages of comments. Sorry if this was asked prior.

1. Do I need to own an iPhone to apply for an AHA position? I read here about the "facetime interview" - will I need facetime to do this? Will Skype do?
2. If I am a platform agnostic (have owned and supported macs/pcs/unix boxes, only owned android phones) will I be stretching it to try to act like a mac fanatic, and hence fail the behaviorist interviews?
3. If the answers to the previous Qs is no, will I be successful in applying for AHA if I'm just a person who truly enjoys helping people with technology? Even if I'm not a high-energy cheerleader type?

Thanks guys, and good luck to those of you waiting.

I'm a little late to the party, but just to help everyone with timelines and all that, here is my history with the AHA position if anyone was stressing about a timeframe.

Applied online on 08/20, received a call from a recruiter on 08/22, the recruiter stated in this call that the position would begin in November. Scheduled my first Skype interview (Skype is OK! Don't worry if you don't have a way to FaceTime) for 8/29. Scheduled my second Skype interview for 08/31.

Was offered the job on 9/09. My BGC says "Complete: Meets Company Standards" as of 09/14 (Log in using the same link they provided for you to give them the info to run the BGC, you can check and view your BGC there. If you want the exact percentage of completion you must call HireRight). I have not received a post-BGC call from Apple, however.

So I think it really depends on when they plan on doing their hiring. Apple most likely opens their requisition for applicants WAY before they intend to interview. I suspect during this time they are weeding out candidates using the provided applicant information. I think I applied right at the end of this period and got lucky with my time frame, others seem to have waited much longer.

Can't wait to be in class with my fellow November employees!

Glassdoor.com is a great resource for future applicants!

Congrats!!! Hopefully all of us "November" peeps will be together :)

1) You do not need to own an iphone to apply for the position... However, having one surely helped me with answering questions for the role play part of the interview... You can use facetime or skype.

2) It helps to know some of the apple knowledge so definitely digging into the knowledgebase and questions on their website will help familiarize yourself. I think you shouldn't try to act like a Mac fanatic if your not, it will be obvious. The biggest thing I can take away is that they want people who Truly care about people. They want you to be concerned that they just shattered their phone on their Honeymoon and put the customer first, then show them you will help them find the answer.

3) You should be fine if you have a desire to help others, that needs to shine through!!

Just let your natural self come through and show your empathy!!! They don't need alot of techy skills from what I hear/read because they teach that in training!

Good luck to you!!

Here's another one waiting!
Got my phone interview 9/9, second interview on the next day and the third interview past monday 9/14. I think I went well and they said the start day would be oct/19.
I'm still waiting on my offer call or an email saying "thank you, but no" haha.
The start date is so close that I feel they should give me an answer soon.
Let's keep waiting :(

My BGC is now completed. How do I view the copy of the report that states whether or not it meets company standards? I'm on my iPad so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not...

It's seems that most people are getting their 2nd/3rd interviews rather quickly after each other. I was told I wold hear something in a week; but that was 3 weeks ago. Guess they don't send out rejection emails or anything.

Congrats! Did it show completed first and then change to meets company standards? Or were you able to pull up your report? Mine changed to completed yesterday.

It changed to completed last night. This morning when I viewed the report it stated on the report that it met company standards.
Thanks! My report says Meets Company Standards now too and shows the status changed yesterday morning. So now we are just waiting on our official offer calls!!! We may even be in the same class. :) I have a few other people in this forum that may be in my class too. So it's going to be nice knowing someone when we start.
