Hi guys,

I applied for an at home advisor position with Apple Australia through their internal employee referral program (i know someone there who submitted my resume internally for me). This was in Mid January. I have had a phone interview, then a skype interview 2 weeks or so later. A week or more after that i received the email from HireRight and completed the background check which is all clear. 2 weeks or so after that i got an email saying "I am one step closer to being an at home advisor!" which invited me to a Job Preview Session online where they go over the requirements of the job and the hours to ensure everyone understands and can ask any questions. That session was two weeks ago today. This has been a long process and the person that referred me said he hasn't heard of anyone getting to the job preview stage and then not getting the job. Training supposed to start at the end of April some time. Originally i was going to be in the February class then that got full and i was moved to March but then HR emailed me and said March is full i will be contacted about April recruit as i am on the listing. Not sure if he meant listing for the training class or just the job preview.

I feel like i most likely have the job but the wait is killing me. Has anyone else had a similar experience lately and can provide some advice or reassurance? The job preview was the week of the Easter long weekend so i assume maybe that caused a delay but... yeah two weeks later and nothing! I have emailed the recruitment email address twice with no response - not unusual they haven't replied to any questions i had through this whole process anyway. Sorry for the long post i'm just beside myself and have been for months! Any advice would be welcome.

Hey!
I to am in the process of interviews and such and I’m also from Australia.
I had my FaceTime interview today and next week we just have to check internet speeds on Tuesday. Then it’s background checks.
The only worry I had was with the possible work hours and if I had to do many nights.
Sounds like the perfect job though.

I had worried about the work hours too but I think as long as the job is good I will cope just fine. Anyway it’s apparently a rotating roster so if you don’t like your shift it will change eventually.

My advice for the background check stage is to provide as much documentation as possible. If you have any questions don’t bother emailing the customer support email listed in the emails you get. Google the Australian contact number for HireRight and call them. That helped me a lot, I called three times and two of the consultants were very helpful. That part can be frustrating and will take a while. I was told it would be a week for the background check after the video interview and if I didn’t hear anything I wasn’t moving forward but then got the HireRight email two weeks later so be patient if you thought the interview went well.

Best of luck!

What kind of information would they be looking for? I went to the website but couldn’t exactly find what it was.
I have a clean record criminal history wise including no parking fines etc. my job history is correct bar one job I didn’t list. That’s all I can think of at this stage

They will want documents showing your start and end date of employment for your last couple of jobs. If you have that then you’ll be fine but one of my previous employers no longer exists so it was hard to provide what they needed. They don’t accept hand written separation certificates for example. They will let you know what they need. Any problems just call they are great on the phone.

If you don’t mind please update when you hear back from them. I’ve heard that the whole process can take a pretty long time and a number of people don’t hear till the last minute.
I really enjoyed the FaceTime interview and believe it went really well. I have sorted all of my past employment information out, thank you for the advice on that one

Good luck but I’m certain you will hear of your start date for training soon

Hi everyone,

I’ve been searching about my issue for hours on the forum and google as well but couldn’t find any satisfying answer.

I would like to become an Apple At Home Advisor but live in Austria/Europe, I have a few questions before applying for the job and I really hope that someone will be able to answer :D:

- English not being my mothertongue, would Apple consider hiring someone that does not speak the language perfectly?
- Does knowing any other languages mean something for the company and its employers? (In my case, three languages I know perfectly are French, German and Bosnian)
- Austria being a German-speaking country, would I only be allowed to work as an At Home Advisor in Austria?
- Is the training period really lasting two months?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the spelling mistakes! If there are any misunderstandings in my questions I’ll be happy to explain them in more details!

Regards,
Ahmed

Does anyone know of any internet providers that will be able to meet the requirements to work for apple through kelly connect?

I work through Kelly at a Mac Advisor... I currently use Spectrum. When I first got the job I was living in Texas and using a small town cable provider and it was ok. I think as long as you have cable internet and meet the speed requirements you should be good.

Thank you so much for responding. Do you think Xfinity is a good option?

I am in the same boat as you, had some troubles with my background check though. Emailed the recruitment team, they told me April intake is already over and they're looking for May now, however no date has been confirmed. I'll report back if I hear anything! Best of luck however.

Very slow process all this waiting for things to eventuate. How is anyone else going who has completed the background test a week or so going? Although being in another country other than the US things may work differently.

Yep I’m in Australia also. A month wait already wow! I won’t hold out any hope that being the case.

Just wish they'd send me a denial email instead of playing the waiting game haha. Oh well not much I can do, already sent an email to HR a few weeks ago with no reply. Recruitment team told me a month ago my documentation was progressing on their end and that April intake was full, now looking into May training. No dates were set.

The rest of the process so far took a month and they seemed to want to keep it moving along. I heard the April was full and May was a possibility. Hopefully it’s not also full at this stage.
So I guess we wait and hopefully it moves along at some point.

I actually applied back in January so it's been a very long process for me. My background check took longer than usual so I missed April, hopefully either of us hear back soon. Best of luck however :) will report back if I hear anything.

Hey guys, I’m in Australia. I applied back in April and got an email for a phone interview, within a few days of that I got another email requesting background check.. and then about 2 weeks later I got an email for the Skype interview. I have a “job preview” this coming Thursday! Has anyone else gotten this far?

Yes and I’m also in Australia. I had the job preview a month ago and completed the background check. I had another email yesterday inviting me to attend a job preview on Thursday. Sent them a reply saying I’d already been to one a month ago. I must have gotten lost in the system a bit.

Hey everyone! Just applied for the AHA position through the college program. Waiting to hear back. I'm a little nervous lol. I just wanted to ask about vacation time and taking time off. When do you start accruing and when can you use vacation time? Also, are they flexible with time off as long as you let them know ahead of time? For example if I wanted to work my 8 hour weekend shift on a weekday to leave my weekend open, would they allow that?
