Yes, that is supposed to come with a pay rate increase.
[doublepost=1501378723][/doublepost]Want to mention that I got the position through KellyConnect. My info might be a little different. Oh, I'm also chat only. It's overnight, sometime between 9p and 8a central time. I have some sort of orientation 8/7 and another 8/11. Training starts 8/14 and lasts until 9/1 (3 weeks). Then there is a second training session, but they couldn't tell me how long it would last. Could be a few days or a few weeks. :/
That's totally different than me. My schedule will be between 5am and 8pm pacific standard time.

Chat only can be cool as long as you have a very narrow scope of support. Otherwise you'll just wish the person was on the phone with you or you had remote desktop access. Good luck ZomBee. Come back and let us know how it goes.

Chat was another field I was interested in. Did you have to fill out your I9 form yet?

I already work chat for another company, so this is right up my alley. I've done phone support with Amazon and hated it. Looking forward to this.

I also filled out my paperwork. They said no friends or family for the I-9, so I had to go with a manager where I used to work.

I haven't done mine yet either. Are you part time? Maybe that explains the different schedule. I'm also 9 weeks of training.
I am full time and start training a week after you. So you are scheduled for 9 weeks of training supporting iOS? I wonder if those that have 4 weeks of training for iOS were hired through KellyConnect. Are you part time?

For you guys that are starting training, after you passed your background through the third party how long did it take to get your packet in the mail from Apple?

When you say packet, do you mean equipment? They are sending my equipment to me the week of my orientation. So I attend orientation 2 days before my start date

Hi,

I'm applying for a AHA position part time.

I was wondering if the training is also part time for part time employees. Also, do you get benefits like insurance during training or when does insurance start?

Thanks!

For any of you folks that were hired directly by Apple (not a vendor), I can probably answer all of your questions. Feel free to PM me, and if I can verify you as an employee in directory, I will be happy to tell you about my experiences in many different areas.

I'm feeling somewhat disheartened. I interviewed with the recruiter for the at home advisor in the beginning of July and he passed me onto the managers interview. I interviewed with them mid July and was told it would be about two weeks before I heard something. Two weeks went by and nothing. I contacted my recruiter and was told it would be another two weeks. I waited 3 weeks and contacted my recruiter again and was told they still don't know but would be in touch once they knew something. Anyone else ever have to wait over 5 weeks before they heard something?

This job is mostly appealing to me if I can be an Apple direct hire, because I want the potential to move into Retail afterwards. But it looks like the listings on the Apple website haven’t been updated since April? Has Apple stopped doing direct hire for this position?

Edit: from another source, I’ve heard that direct hires are clustered in March-May. Frustrating for my purposes, but okay.

I never heard back from applying on the Apple website. I wonder if it would be easier to go through an agency. Can we apply through an agency if we already applied on the site?

Obviously the salary will be much lower in that case. Is it possible to work for anagency then switch to being an Apple emplyee?

Thanks.

For what it's worth, Apple Retail is not very connected to Apple At-Home. I ran several interviews with At-Home advisors as part of the group, and they didn't get a lot of preference. If you have the right attitude, people skills, and empathy, you can work at Apple Retail with or without technical experience.

I wonder if anyone will respond. I got my final interview email from one of their vendors (Job was from another company) and I was wondering does that mean I'm technically hired or is there another process after the Final interview phone call?

Hello all! :) I previously worked for Apple through a vendor (KellyConnect), but realized it might be better, career-wise, to try and work directly for Apple. I've been watching the job listings (almost daily!) since June and have yet to see an opening for iOS Chat, which is the department I very much wish to join. I'm currently working from home (100% remotely) for another company, but I miss Apple's internal culture and views on genuine customer care. Does anyone have any tips on when iOS chat might be hiring again? (I could also use some assistance in perfecting my cover letter!) My resume is tip-top, describing my experience in customer care and technical support, but I'm struggling a little on the cover letter and feel my existing example could be improved. Thanks, everyone!

Hi, do you know how the typing test is scored? I receive an email from Kellyconnect to do a Typing test, I typed about half the passage, and my computer froze up?
