I suggest forming a seance in a pentagram using black candles in order to summon the spirit of Steve Jobs himself. This is a sure fire way to do well!

Just kidding, no, you shouldn't really need to do much before training. You pretty much get everything you need. Good luck!
Lmao I was looking like "black or red" candles ??? lol

So I Got MY official offer call today!!! June 6th, 2017!! Woo Woo... First-day orientation is tuesday, June 13. Then is when we will know more about the training program information. We also are shipped our equipment next week as well!... I've Waited and waited and now I get to finally use my apple sign its official!!

Also... I had to call them, After waiting 1 full day for them to actually call me back. They had told me They would call me with my formal offer on June 5th, but I never received a call. So today June 6th. I gave them a call as soon as their offices opened up and She started going over my formal offer with me. I just sent a copy of my phone bill and internet bill, and I'm all set for training.

Anyone else in the June 13th Training class??:apple::apple::rolleyes:

Hello everyone. I've been applying for Apple for years and never received an interview. Last year, after reading on this post, I applied and was hired for KellyConnect. Four weeks into the training, I was in a car accident and couldn't finish training.

Yesterday, I received an email from Apple for an interview. I haven't applied for them in almost a year. I kind of gave up. Now, I am more than excited. But, I was wondering if working briefly for KellyConnect will ruin my chances for getting this job at Apple.

I just got hired onto chat, had the first day orientation and equipment shipment this morning. Seems great so far. I am happy to answer what questions I can about the hiring process and what not if anyone is interested. Anyone is more than welcome to PM me and I am happy to publicly answer what I can in keeping with the NDA.

So how do you like it so far i just got hired on as well and waiting for the shipment. are the schedules pretty much what you requested during the interview? And will you ever be hired on with apple or always work through kelly connect?

Position: AppleCare College Program
Direct hire via Apple.com
Applied: Feb 2016 (Received an email from Apple recruiter May; I didn't proceed didn't meet one of the requirements at the time), March 2017
Contacted via email: June 6 to schedule interview
Informal / informational interview: June 9th
Official interview: June 19th via Webex (cam)

**Start date: Aug 7th**

Interview went very well, I feel confident but weary. I have technical and customer experience. The interviewer was very upbeat and we laughed a lot. He seemed pretty amazed of my character and overall interaction. He told me there's no need for a 2nd interview. I was told I should here back within 1 day or could be a weeks time since they are hiring and interviewing a lot ppl. He let me know I was like one of the first few bring interviewed for my university.

How long did it take for anyone who applied directly through Apple either At Home Advisor or the college program to receive feedback? Was it via email or call first?

Can anyone who is an AppleCare advisor or applying for one help me understand my status? I applied for AppleCare's College Program a month ago. Few days ago i got an email telling me they want to move forward and schedule a video chat interview. I did the chat interview on Wednesday April 9th and then did a second video chat interview on Friday. Since then I have not received any emails. Can anyone explain the stage I am in and if it is likely I already got the job or they are still deciding.

I'm in the same boat.
1. March 2017 - Appplied AppleCare College Program
2. June 6th - Email requesting phone interview
3. June 9th - Informal approx 5 min phone interview. Received emails right after to schedule video interview via hirevue
4. June 19th - video interview. It went preyyy well. I have a lot technical and customer service experience. Blew the interviewer out the water when I was asked how to respond / empathize with a customer. Very laid back Guy! Told me I'm like one the first few for my university doing interview. He said there's no need for 2nd interview. I should hear back within one day - weeks time (did advised me it can vary since there's a lot interviews and hiring being done and some employees have already went on vacation for holiday ).

Sure!!

I know every interviewer is different . But, my guy was pretty laid back & upbeat. I've worked on the Apple account through another vendor previously. Of course the position you will be answering how to questions, troubleshooting, etc. but Apple puts major emphasis on CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Customer focused..,,

Don't over think it. Just be yourself. Below is basically how my interview went .,,,

Details:

Not a lot of technical questions. Questions I was asked:

-Why Apple?
-Ask questions about my past work experience.
-On the scale from 1-10, how will you rate your technical skills/expertise?
-Scenario & Role played based questions:
1. Determining / isolating customer issue. You can only ask 5 probing questions (don't over think it). Basically, your probing skills is being tested. Interviewer was customer & I was the Advisor. Here is what the interviewer asked:
Customer:"My internet doesn't work."
Me: "What device are you using?
Customer: iPad
Me:"When was the last time you connected to the internet?".......(role play continues)
- How do you handle an irate customer and/or empathize with the customer? (Apple likes to see their advisers place themselves in the customer shoes, empathize and reassure customers)

And that's basically it!

Thank you! I appreciate it :)

I guess we're playing the waiting game then!

When's the start date for the position you're interviewing for?

Hello All,

Very new to this and just wanted to see where everyone else is within the interview and hiring process. I just had my interview with 2 managers. Just waiting on a final decision which they say could take up to 2 week. I am part of the August class that is scheduled. Is anyone else still waiting on a reply for the August class? If so good luck to everyone!!

I've completed my interview process with KellyConnect for the AHA position and awaiting to BGC and fill out I-9.

I have a question about the phone requirements. Some of the initial documentation states you can use VOIP and per this forum Kelly has recommended BasicTalk. BasicTalk (subsidiary of Vonage) and Vonage have a 3000 minute allotment on their "Unlimited" Plans and Ooma has 5000 Minutes on theirs.

My question is, has anyone used these services with Kelly or Apple and what does you usage (minutes) look like for the month working 40 hours/week with these VOIP services?

Personally, I'm liking Ooma if I am able to use it because of the low cost even after having 2 phone numbers since my girlfriend will be working from home later this year.

Any experienced input would be appreciated.

Is needing a phone line an aspect exclusive to KellyConnect? I've been through the Apple process and not once has a phone line been mentioned..

I am going through the hiring process currently for the Apple At Home Advisor team through Concentrix. Wanted to get some information from any actual At Home Advisors who have been hired & are currently working right now.

A few questions:
1. Landline Corded Phone: Is having a landline phone with a cord a definite requirement? Or is there a better, more convenient setup to have or way around this?
2. Phone Number: Did you end up setting up a new phone number just for this job? If the requirement is to have a phone number with no features, then what about regular incoming calls? How do you handle that?
3. Headset: I was told about a headset that plugs into the phone versus one that plugs into the computer. What brand of headsets are you all using?
4. Secondary Job: Is anyone working a secondary job in addition to being an At Home Advisor? My intention was to be able to take on additional jobs, however, if we don't have real control of schedules, then I don't see it the flexibility for additional remote work opportunities.

Anyone actually currently working at Apple or through a contractor for Apple now?

I’m waiting for a final decision as well. I interviewed for the At home advisor AppleCare College Program on June 19th for the Aug. class too. I only spoke to one hiring manager. I was told I’ll hear back waiting 1-2 weeks, but noting still. I’m getting nervous however the interview went very well and was told I didn’t need a second one.
