Wow. My recruiter told me on me on my very first interview. I thought I might be doing OS X support as well as basic hardware troubleshooting and I was thrilled to find I'll just be supporting iOS.I haven't been told which support division I will be a part of.

Standard at home advisor.
I'm guessing I will be doing OS X due to the fact that a lot of the questions I was asked during my interview revolved around that i.e. If I'm familiar with boot camp.Wow. Are you a part of the September 3rd class? If so then maybe the September class is iOS and the August 14th class is something different. Not exactly sure how they determine what training you will be attending.Odd. I only found out I'd be part of iOS because I directly asked during my job offer.
Yeah I got a question about boot camp as well. She wanted to know if I've heard of it and if so then explain what it is. I got a ton of hardware questions too and a lot of networking stuff as well. Which is why I thought I was going to be providing OS X support. After all the questions however she let me know I'd be supporting iOS and maybe down the line I'll be crossed trained in other Applecare areas.I'm guessing I will be doing OS X due to the fact that a lot of the questions I was asked during my interview revolved around that i.e. If I'm familiar with boot camp.

Maybe we will be in the same class then. I would really like iOS seeing is its what I know the best. But I'm familiar with OS X since it's my main platform I use.August 7th, actually. So I'm not too sure how it works!
Hmm interesting. I'm curious to find out now.I was told most people would start with iOS as supporting OS X required a level up (promotion). Tier 1 is iPads, iPhones and iPods.
When supporting iOS do you think they still send a iPod touch as well as the iMac?I was told most people would start with iOS as supporting OS X required a level up (promotion). Tier 1 is iPads, iPhones and iPods.
Yeah I was told you get an iPod Touch in addition to the iMac. They want you to have an iOS device which runs the latest version of iOSInteresting. I guess I will find out on the 14th when I start.

Hopefully they'll level up our pay as well. lol. Desktop support can be a huge pain in the butt especially if Apple has a list of 3rd party peripherals that they support. We shall see...I was told most people would start with iOS as supporting OS X required a level up (promotion). Tier 1 is iPads, iPhones and iPods.
In your offer packet did it say anywhere in there that you would be working with iOS?Yeah I was told you get an iPod Touch in addition to the iMac. They want you to have an iOS device which runs the latest version of iOS

The packet is called " iOS Tech Support" lol so I think it's safe to assume I'll focus only on iOS at firstIn your offer packet did it say anywhere in there that you would be working with iOS?

Mine had nothing like that haha. Just a cover page that says "The Offer"
I had 2 interviews. The 2nd interview had 2 managers sitting in on it. I asked during my last interview if they knew what I would be supporting and they told me I didn't have a specific field. I would be training for everything. It's weird that nobody ever mentioned to you what area you'll focus on throughout the whole hiring process? Did you have 2 interviews or 3? And they really never mentioned what it is you're going to be supporting? Crazy.
Wow that's awesome. Hopefully you're making of ton of money as well. How long is your training? I mean if you're doing everything I would imagine you're going to be in training for a minute. lolI had 2 interviews. The 2nd interview had 2 managers sitting in on it.
