Hi,

Regarding the back ground check that Apple do for At Home Advisor. Do they do a credit check, I ask because I was made bankrupt last October and I wonder would this go against me. I have no criminal record and a good and verifiable work record in a bank.

Thanks
Nope, no credit.

Hey guys. I recently completed my first interview with Kelly connect and I was wondering; 1. Is this job long term. And 2. How hard is it to transition from kellyconnect to Apple in the future.

Bonus Question: are the calls/chats back to back to back or do you get a second to breathe? At my current position I get a second to breathe between tasks but I've been in call center environments where it's back to back from start to finish.

Just over a week after my first interview, I've gotten the "Thanks for Playing" email. I'm crushed, again. I don't know why I'm just not good enough, but I will keep trying. Best of luck to the rest of you!

Hi guys,

I just applied to 6 AHA jobs through Apple and 1 through Kellyconnect. Crossing fingers. I applied about 2 years ago and no interviews through Apple. Kellyconnect did call me for an interview then, but I live in Pennsylvania and at the time PA residents were not eligible for the AHA jobs. It seems like PA residents are now able to apply for AHA through Kellyconnect, yay! :) I completed the Kelly application and I'm waiting on available appointment dates. If I get hired the start date is June 12th. I really hope I get it! Did anyone else apply recently? How long was the process from start to finish? If hired, how do you like it so far?

Thanks in advance, :)

Gigi

Hi, can anyone tell me how long it took to hear back after your background check was completed? Mine was finished last week and said I met company standards. Just getting a little anxious because they had mentioned starting early June and its coming up fast. Wanted to give the company I work for a proper 2wk notice.

Just wondering a few things. What was the process like for those that have applied?
How long did it take to be offered an interview after you applied?
Did they email you first to set up a time or did they just call to speak with you?

So here's how my "Onboarding Process" Has Been.

05/03/2017 I filled out the initial application for Kelly Connect Apple Care inbound technical support. 1 hour later Got another email, Asking to proceed with the rest of the application which I did.

05/05/2017 I was invited to do a Video interview, Via Skype or FaceTime. I scheduled for the following Monday.

05/09/2017 Was the video interview. I provided them with my Skype, but instead they had me use "Take the Interview App" . The app almost cost me my interview, because it worked so poorly. They asked the most basic of questions.
Such as,

"What are somethings you would tell a customer to do, if they were having troubles powering their device on? ":D

"What were some situations where you dealt with an angry Customer??, "

"What steps did you take to resolve the issue and calm the custome"

After the interview was over The recruiter explained training dates and moved me on to the paperwork portion.";)

5 mins after the phone call I received the background check information, The state forms, and my I-9 registration.

Everything was complete by 10. I had to wait for confirmation on my I-9 and background check. :D

05/12/2017 I called and they confirmed my I9 was received and closed. They were waiting for my background check. Which could take 5-7 days.

5/19/2017 I find out my background check has come back as "Favorable", and they will be contacting me the first week of June, or by June 5th with a formal job offer. o_O

So my question is Do I have the job, or could I still be at risk of recieving that dreaded rejection letter. How long does it take to receive your equipment?. Also I'm not exactly sure how to check the status of my background check myself. I'd like to see if I have the "Meets company standards" clesrence or if I'm in completed mode. Help?:(

Has anyone had issues with the KellyConnect questionnaire not loading? I have tried multiple PCs, on multiple networks, in multiple states.... and all of them refuse to load the page. I have no idea what to do, if anyone has tips I would appreciate it!

The page loads images but no text, but when I click the obvious yellow button, it loads text that says I do not have cookies enabled (I do, on every browser). I've even disabled my firewall and no dice.

Hi everyone,
I'm a little nervous because my background check adjudication status has been "pending" since May 1, 2017 (direct hire with apple). I received a phone call from someone in their corporate backgrounds department and on May 12, 2017 submitted proof that a Nolle Prosequi (charges have been dropped) had been entered on the case. Each time I reach out to my recruiter for an update she just says that she's still waiting to hear from HireRight, that she's watching it closely, and she'll contact me once she has an update. I'm just wondering if I should let it go or keep hope alive..

I'm starting to think I might not have been selected to interview this batch of job applications. Reading through all of the prior posts it seems like those of you that have been given interviews received a call or email within the first day or so of submitting your application.
Does that seem right for you guys as well? Or has anyone else received the request for an interview a couple weeks out from applying?

Hi folks! Looking to apply in the next few days after I write up a cover letter and polish my resume a bit, but I have a quick question about the background check.

My current job is a mom and pop, literally pop, it's my step dad's company. It's just me and him and he pays me cash. I report my income to the IRS, but I don't have a W2 or any documentation proving I work there. He has a business phone, address, website etc., so they could call him and verify I work for him. Would that be enough? I really hope so, as I think I would be a great fit for this job.

Also, it's OK to apply for every open position? I don't want to step on any recruiters toes, because there are quite a few open spots.

Thanks for the help!

I'm applying for the AHA position in Greensboro, NC and want to use the Hiring manager's name on my cover letter. Does anybody know where to get this info from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We also are shipped our equipment next week as well!... I've Waited and waited and now I get to finally use my apple sign its official!!

Also... I had to call them, After waiting 1 full day for them to actually call me back. They had told me They would call me with my formal offer on June 5th, but I never received a call. So today June 6th. I gave them a call as soon as their offices opened up and She started going over my formal offer with me. I just sent a copy of my phone bill and internet bill, and I'm all set for training.

Anyone else in the June 13th Training class??:apple::apple::rolleyes:

Good luck! I was an at-home advisor for years, 2012-2015. It was a fantastic job for back when I was in college.

Even got to be a Tier-2 advisor to handle the more complex calls. It was super fun! And the flexible schedule was great too.

The job gave me tons of time and freedom to follow my own passion (coding) and I was eventually able to get a job as an iOS developer. Apple is a fantastic company to work for! Can't recommend it enough. The people are great too.

Just stay positive. Training is super fun and you will meet a lot of great people. Some of the people I knew at Apple who live in my city are still good friends to this day. The job teaches you a lot about helping and working with people, skills that will be valuable forever!

Do You know of any sites or anything I could study before iIstart training?? Its good to know there's room to move up, after reading some online comments, I was weary, But I'm convinced that everyone's experience is bound to be different.

Be warned all of those who apply for KellyConnect with Apple program.

They do not offer any benefits or vacation time off unless you work there a year and your attendance has to be solid. Starting pay is $12.00.

Lots of old equipment shipped to you like iMacs and Mac minis and half the time they do not work right.

You have to be the perfect model employee to move up.

There's a sign on bonus now but that still does not make up for vacation, time off or medical benefits. It is incredibly sad.

Attendance is very strict! If you have family, or if you are sick a lot this is not the job for you. The work life balance is almost impossible. Management is ridiculous.

If you can be patient apply with Apple and not this vendor.
How long were you with apple??

I suggest forming a seance in a pentagram using black candles in order to summon the spirit of Steve Jobs himself. This is a sure fire way to do well!

Just kidding, no, you shouldn't really need to do much before training. You pretty much get everything you need. Good luck!
