My three interviews were the same. Almost no body language and very little small talk. But apparently I did ok. Sent in my BGC today and that poses no problem so I expect to finish up fine and start on April 28th

that's my class!
good luck

Hey everyone

Just wanted to come by and share a brief summary of my experience thru this process with Apple. I lurked thru this thread and is was a great help thru the process and just want to put forward my thoughts.

So timetable of everything

T 0 days was when I really started applying the second time around updated my resume and made sure everything was up-to-date.

T +8 days got a call from a recruiter and asked the basics and went over the job. Stopped the questions after about 10 minutes and moved me onto the 2nd interview.

T +17 days second facetime interview was a little stressful the recruiter was all business and I stumbled on a couple of unexpected questions. Was a little surprised at the end when he said that I would be moving onto the third interview by the vibe I got from him.

T +22 days Team Manager interview this one was a very relaxed interview for me. The Team Manager was excellent for my back ground had several point I could relate to her own experience. I treated the interview exactly how I would interact with a customer but made sure I was selling myself with the process. No actual role play 2 tech questions and a how would you handle the scenario and a skill you had to learn fast

T +24 days call from the 2nd recruiter with prelim offer and got BGC email

T +29 days Got formal offer start April 21st

The whole process was fun and interesting I have a little experience with Apple I worked with a vendor at one point and took iOS calls so I had a general idea of what they were looking for in the process and was able to adapt pretty quickly. I wish everyone the best of luck thru this process it is a interesting one.

Also I will add this be yourself you want to hit the customer service part of this but be yourself and enjoy the process and try not to be to tight during the process.

Good luck to you as well. If you get hired, when would you start training?

I'm not sure exactly when but I do recall her saying that I would start in May.

Hi Toxic!

Basically, a shift bid works off of seniority and metrics. There's, say, 5 different shifts available with varying days off. The most senior agents with best metrics will usually get first pick, and tend to pick the best schedules. Newbies in general at most jobs seem to get stuck with either mediocre or downright undesirable shifts, but only for a while until the next shift bid. I know at my current job (Dish) you could swap shifts with another newbie while still in training if you both were okay with it.

As for the questions asked, just some general tech support stuff (doesn't have to be Apple based, use general tech knowledge here) and a roleplay call. Don't worry about knowing the answers; the same here holds true for the third interview. They are more concerned in how well you take care of the customer, so even if you don't know what you are answering is correct, say it with confidence and say it in a pleasurable tone. Basically, you can BS your way through the call but if you do it well, they don't care! They can teach the tech stuff; they can't teach good customer service skills. They are more worried if you have those, than tech knowledge. Good luck!!!

Stat, just make sure you know how to interact with people well. You don't need a ton of tech know how- just know what RAM is, what an OS is.... basic basic techno jargon you might hear if you were to call in for support. They are far more interested in seeing if you can keep a confident, pleasant tone throughout the call and handle the roleplay situation (fairly short and sweet) well. Good luck!!

Thanks for the reply, awesome information! Thanks a million :)

I felt relaxed up until the interview. I was so nervous. The first role play I bombed it. The interviewer asked how I felt and I said I know where I messed up. So they did another role play and I did great. I asked what was next and they said I would know in 3-5 days if I will be moving on.

Has anyone else have this happen? I thought they tell you at the end if you were moving on.

Same thing happened to me just last week. I was so excited after the first phone interview and the second Skype interview, because they both told me I was moving forward. When the third interviewer said I would hear in 3-5 days, my heart dropped. Then 1pm the next day, I got a call from California. It was a very nice man offering me the job! He said this was all pending background check. He also went over the process and what was next. I too felt like I bombed a question during the third interview; however, I obviously was wrong. I then got the Hireright email on a Friday. Then had to wait the whole long long long weekend for Monday when they finished the check. They check back 5 years. Monday came and by noon, background check was done and got a call with saying they would like to Welcome me to Apple! I bet you will be fine!

That is amazing! Congrats :) It was my 2nd interview today. I saw where a lot of people were told they were moving on with the next step right after the 2nd. Now I have to wait for the email.

I've seen in these threads that sometimes even after the second interview they wait to tell you if you are moving on, sometime up to 3 days. I am wishing you all the best! It ain't over til the fat lady sings!

Thanks a bunch. My interviewer was so sweet and friendly.

I too was nervous. I felt really calm until that interview and I guess, because I need the job badly, I was not as calm as I thought. I also was told I would know by the end of this week or the first part of the next.

Had my 3rd interview yesterday and knew right away that I had bombed the empathy role playing. I was way too nervous and fumbling over my words. Got email today saying they were going with other candidates. Kind of depressing but at least I know what I need to improve on. Anyone know how long you have to wait before you apply again for an AHA position after getting rejected?

So sorry to hear that Morph, I think you can apply again within six months from what I have read on here.

Six months? ouch! Well, at least I know what I did wrong and can work on it. I was just way too nervous. Been out of work too long and not used to virtual interviews. Sounds like it would have been a great job to have.

Im so sorry to hear that Morph. I am worried that I will get the dreaded e-mail. I wish I was told that I was moving on like some people. It really feels discouraging when they tell you that they will let you know in 3-5 days.

Thanks! Yeah, I wasn't given the 3-5 days thing. I was told in 2-3 weeks I would get contacted by someone in recruiting. I guess it's too much to hope this is all just a bad April Fools day joke? oh well.

I thought I did decent on the role play, she seemed to like my response. She could tell I was nervous yet excited. She even smiled and was like "aw look at you getting all excited" when I made a big smile when she said she was going to pretend to be a caller. But even though at some moments I felt like we were clicking there were moments I was unsure and was getting mixed vibes. But I wanted to cry when she said I would know in 3 days whether I would go to the final interview. She did say that either way she would contact me... But I know that doesn't mean a no, but it still made me feel like I did horrible. So then I started second guessing myself and critiquing every single move I made. But oh well, now I will just be glued to my phone refreshing my email non stop lol... Oh this is gonna be the longest 3 days, ever!

Third interview was Friday. Thought I had done excellent but I just got the rejection email. I'm pretty devastated right now, I can't lie. I applied to this job in September. I needed this to keep ends meeting and I know I gotta move on. Just haven't found anything remotely comparable to this.
