I have heard that there is only one interview for the student position, but I'm not sure if that's always the case. I don't know whether that email was a good sign or not!

I would think so! If they were not going to hire you why bother?

I still don't know if I am having one. I haven't heard one way or the other yet. Thanks for the good wishes though!

They told me 3-5 days since my 2nd interview if I was being moved forward... It's been 3 days and still no word. So tempted to create a new account and reapply. LOL. But I am waiting until I get the dreaded email.

My interview was the day before yours. I am also being interviewed for the May 12th class. I was told a lot of people being interviewed this week, then the first part of next week they would discuss the interviews and then I would know something by the middle of next week.

Don't panic yet! We are still in the running until we hear differently..lol

Whew that makes me feel tons better! I heard that when they say "We will let you know in two weeks" that it is bad news. I was slightly relieved when they said 3-5 days, but I'd much rather have moved on right after. LOL. Was your interview your 2nd or 3rd?

Edit- I backtracked a little and saw where you just had your 2nd.

It was my second. I have read so many different things. I am just going to go by what I was told, it's all I can do. I am just telling myself if it's meant to be I will get it. If not I will move on. What else can we do? I live in a small town and jobs here are not easy to come by. Just about everyone I know works two jobs to survive here. This town thrives on tourist trade and with the economy like it is the tourist trade is down. So this job would be a godsend for me.

Chat Advisor

Ok I don't know what position everyone applied for but I'll let you know about my experience so far.

March 10th, 2014: I applied for the Chat Advisor - Graveyard Shift.

March 18th, 2014: I received an email to confirm if I'm still interested.

March 19th, 2014: I received the first call from the recruiter who said she'll talk to me 10-15 minutes and ask me some questions but the call ran exactly 3 minutes and even though she said she was "recommending" me, I felt totally discouraged thinking she cut me short and I don't think she likes me BUT she did recommend me and scheduled me for a video interview and had me fill out the official application.

March 27th, 2014: I had my first video interview and the interviewer was super smart and very nice but towards the end of my interview, I felt discouraged again because of the way he told me he'll "recommend" me and I'll know something in a few days but he doesn't know exactly when. I felt as if he didn't like me and I felt like crying BUT I was scheduled for a 2nd video interview with team manager.

March 31st, 2014: I was sent an email to select a slot for the Team Manager interview.

April 2nd, 2014: I had my 2nd video interview and this is the Team Manager interview and technically my 3rd call/interaction with Apple Recruiting Team. This was by far the best interview I've had in my entire life. The manager was super friendly and very smart, there was another manager observing and he was really nice too but didn't speak much as he was there only for observing. I loved the interview but I felt due to being nervous I messed up a few times and misunderstood the most obvious/easiest questions. At the end of this interview I was told I'll hear something, when I further probed for a timeline I was told maybe about 2 weeks or so they're still interviewing people. I felt like seriously crying this time because I felt they're not interested in me for sure because of the way I was told to wait to hear back something.

I have been waiting since then and it's not fun. I'm the most patient person I know and the most confident person especially at interviews but this being Apple, I messed up more than a few times because I really WANT it. I really hope I do get it but I haven't heard anything so far and I'm feeling really sad about it but I'm still hoping for the best and staying POSITIVE.

I can say though that I am really good at reading people and I can tell what people mean with their words 98% of the time. However, I COULDN'T read any of Apple interviewers and maybe they do this on purpose. The first 2 calls I felt I was not going to go further but I did so I'm hoping the same result for the the last interview. All the interviewers are super smart and I believe when they say that Apple brings out the best in people. I so want to work with Apple, I love their products!!!!

Timeline:
APPLIED MARCH 20
PHONE INTERVIEW MARCH 20
2ND INTERVIEW VIA SKYPE MARCH 27
THANKS FOR PLAYING E-MAIL APRIL 1ST

My friend from high school informed me on the 20th of march that they had positions available for the AAA, I filled out the app and was contacted a few hours later on the phone. I was immediately interviewed and made it through to the next round. I was told my next interview would be through skype the following week. I had the the interview and thought it went great, but got the thanks for playing e-mail yesterday smh.

I was wondering if I could just re-apply right now or would I have to wait? and my friend is going through training and wanted to refer me via the friends and family the internal site. Thanks!

Good Luck glamgirl88 I learned thru experience that every position has a different process. I applied and interviewed for a call center position in Austin and it was entirely different then the interview process for the At home position I just got. The previous interview was July 2013 so not to long ago.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Good luck and keep us updated. This is the first I am hearing of anyone being contacted or interviewed for the graveyard chat position. I have to be honest though, since I applied for this same position before you and I have not been contacted, this discourages me a little bit. I guess I should still just keep my fingers crossed and hope for a call or e-mail!

Hey All,

One piece of advise from someone who has been through the process is that your hire date is flexible.

I have seen a lot of people, including myself, get pushed back a week or more for their training class due to it being full.

So, if you are waiting for that offer email, don't give up hope.

Also, remember at the end of the day, it's just a call center job.

It may be for Apple but it's still a glorified call center job and chances are advancement out of the trenches will be slim, even with stellar stats and CSTATs.

Take the skills that you learn being an AHA and get a better position elsewhere.

It looks real good on a resume'!

It helped me land a position being over all Apple products for an entire company.

I posted a while back and I'm here to update. Background FINALLY finished. Got a call from apple just to clarify a something hire-right got wrong, ( I have twin sister similar name )sent in the proof to apple. They said my recruiter will be giving me a call later today. Was originally going to start today, but that set me back, They are looking for another class to put me in.

My third interview was a great one, He asked some technical questions and a little bit of empathy. I worked for apple a few years back so I already knew what they were looking for as far as interviewing goes. Just be yourself and do a little research if you have limited knowledge of apple products.

First and second interviews were basically like having an everyday conversation with a friend you have not seen in a while. It was really laid back.

I had my paperwork session this morning. I couldnt find anywhere in the paperwork where it stated when we would get paid and how to set up a direct deposit. Will this be found out in orientation?

I've lurked here a long while. My husband works at Apple and has for quite a long while now. Anyway, I wanted to tell you I don't know when your start date is but pay is bi-weekly. The next payday for my husband is April 11th (though it's usually in our account the night before that may be bank related). So every two weeks from that date is the day you could resonably expect to be paid. As far as setting up direct deposit. If it wasn't in your initial paperwork I think they will cover it in orientation. I can't recall for sure but it seems his first and possibly second paycheck may have come in the mail until direct deposit was established. It's been a while though. Good Luck! I hope you love working for Apple as much as my husband does.

That is Awesome. Good for you! I applied Feb 20, the day after they initially put the position up. I haven't heard anything back yet. Actually, you are the first person so far on the thread so stay you've been contacted regarding the chat position. Did they happen to give you a ball park date of when you would possibly start. I don't know whether to keep waiting for them to contact me or believe they didn't choose me since it's been over a month....Anyway, congrats again to you. I hope you get it!

Yes, it's end of June. I am not another forum where a lot of people got contacted for this position like 5-6 but even there I was the first one who got contacted so no one can really help out and this wait is scaring me. Focus on your resume, cover letter and the survey answers. They did say that this is the starting stage for this job and that it starts so late that they want to take their time to make the decision.

Don't give up I know a lot of people who applied way before me but got contacted after me so maybe it is taking them time to contact people and maybe they contacted people who applied towards the end. It could be anything, I hope you are called. I have applied for different positions with Apple for at least a few years and this is the first time applying for a chat position. I fixed my resume and cover letter this time and I finally got contacted.

Thanks! I was thinking that that could be one of the possibilities that they started from most recent and are working their way back to the beginning. Who knows. But yea I went over all of my information earlier and everything is good. I'm not so much worried about them not finding me a good fit as I am thinking they'll reach the number they need before they get to me. I'll be patient from this point on, that's all that I can do anyway.

How many times did you reapply? When it asks "have you spoken to a recruiter in the last 12 months?". What did you put? I just have this gut feeling that I'm not selected but I don't know if I should apply again or what.

Hi,

I applied at least 5-6 times in the past 2-4 years but somehow I always applied towards the ending date. I never received a call so I put NO. I only received an email from a recruiter for the Apple Genius position but when I called according to the email the recruiter never picked up and I tried so many times, this was years ago. I also received an email for an at home position but the position was in another town and I had moved out of that town and this was at least 2 years ago too, so none of those interactions really count. This is my first time going anywhere with an Apple position :).
