Two things. Both of them are role play...

1st Role Play- I didn't show any empathy, which I realized halfway through.

2nd Role play- I showed a ton of empathy and I accidentally cut her off, we started talking at the same time.

oh i see, well i dont want to be too specific but only one thing bothered me about the interview.

on the roleplay, i didnt say an apple greeting at the beginning of the call lol i just answered "how can i help you"

probably not a big deal to yall but for some reason that kind of bugged me

It's all good I reapplied to other locations so maybe I'll get another chance. If not, it's no biggie. I was really looking forward to it, but as the days passed I got more and more discouraged. I'm honestly glad that I know now, instead of refreshing my email over and over again.

3rd interview

I went online and picked an interview spot for my 3rd interview. It's for this Friday. Does anyone know what to expect? It's with a hiring manager so I hope it's just to discuss tax and background check part of it. Or will it be more tech and customer service questions?

So I had my third interview yesterday. I thought I did really well. She said " don't freak out if you don't hear back tomorrow, it's a process and takes time" so I'm wondering if you all thought I got it?! My class would start may12, iOS support.

Thoughts?! So I don't go crazy these next few days?!

The lady I had asked a lot about my customer service background.
**tell me a time when you had to deal with an unruly customer and how did you handle them?
**tell me a time when you has to fix a problem using your technical skills
My role play was about a lady that just got off the phone with someone and she did what they told her to, and she lost her entire operating system.. All the info was gone...

Show empathy. They harp on that.

Today marks the 7th day after my third interview. I am overanalyzing everything and can only think of all the dumb things I did during my interview lol. I am not checking my email anymore I am sure good news will be through the phone first. I can SEE the call coming in from San Jose, CA lol I can FEEL it .... I am officially going crazy now.

I kind of already did a follow up because I wanted to send in a Thank You letter to the interviewer but did not have his email so I wrote to the person I thought was my recruiter, she emailed back saying she cannot provide email address and said she forwarded my email to my recruiter. I have no idea who my recruiter is if it's not the first person who called me, maybe it's the person I had the first video interview with lol.

Ha yep! I just emailed the first point of contact and low and behold, she wasn't my main recruiter either lol She is looking into for me at this very moment.

My second interview was March 27th and the guy that I interviewed with told me at the end of our conversation that he was recommending me for the next level. I had my 3rd interview with 2 managers on April 3rd which went incredible - I have never had such a comfortable, relaxed interview. I'm very happy and am feeling really good about my chances but right now it is just a waiting game and I am crawling out of my skin waiting to hear something!

Training class is meant to begin June 30th, hopefully Glamgirl and myself, plus any others waiting hear something soon!

I am with you - this is the farthest I have made it in the interview process and I really want this opportunity! To be able to work from home would be a huge blessing for my family and I.

A little advice?

So I have been applying since last spring for at-home-advisor positions. I have a friend who works in the company who's been trying to push me through, but doesn't have enough pull to get me in.

The problem is, I don't have much of a technical background, but I do have enough of an understanding to provide troubleshooting advice. My friend thinks I'm a good fit because I have an extensive customer service background.

I applied to all three chat advisor positions in early March and have heard nothing, which is obviously bad since you guys are all getting calls.

Any advice on what I should be doing differently? I'm super passionate about trying to become a part of the Apple family.

I also applied to the chat position on March 11th and have not received a call or email. I have technical support and chat experience. I looked over my resume and application questions again, and everything looks fine. This is sort of depressing. I have applied to a few other positions with the hope that I will get called for at least one of them.

Uhm, that's awesome, but kind of rubbing it in my face?

I really do need advice. I just lost my job and I have a one year old at home.


I know I have the skillset, I'm just not sure how to convey it to recruiters.
