Apple At-Home Advisor... (Part 2)

I applied at least 5-6 times in the past 2-4 years but somehow I always applied towards the ending date. I never received a call so I put NO. I only received an email from a recruiter for the Apple Genius position but when I called according to the email the recruiter never picked up and I tried so many times, this was years ago. I also received an email for an at home position but the position was in another town and I had moved out of that town and this was at least 2 years ago too, so none of those interactions really count. This is my first time going anywhere with an Apple position :).

I too have gotten a call back and had several interviews for the Chat Position. Here is a brief little timeline if anyone is interested:

Feb 27th: Applied for the Chat Position

Mar 18th: Got the cold call, asking if I was interested, chatted for about 10 minutes and I was told I was moving on to the second round.

Mar 27th: Second interview with HireVue. It was a mix of Skype and chat so I could have a few practice chat situations. I asked questions about moving up and career opportunities and I was told I would be moving on to the final round.

Mar 31st: Got the email to schedule my final interview

Apr 2nd: Third interview with hiring manager and another manager. Same type of interview as before with HireVue - was asked a share of tech and customer service questions. Was told I would hear in a few days of the next step in the process.

Still waiting here on my end and I feel relatively pretty good about it. This is my first time applying with Apple and I am flattered to make it this far. Can't wait to get the email about the background check and to move forward!
 
I just had my 2nd interview via FaceTime. I think it we'll well overall, I stumbled over some words a few times though. And I answered a question wrong in the role playing part. She said she was running and dropped her laptop and now it won't turn on. I said to get the charger and plug it in. Now I've never had a MacBook before and I didn't stop to think when she said the power cable turned orange and I asked if she had a spare cable. She then said ok let's stop right there. And then we moved on to other things. After the interview I looked this up and found out it means it's charging. I feel so dumb!! Do you guys think this ruined my chances of getting the job? She said I should hear back in about 3 days

Atleast you were told a few days. I was Thanked for going through the process and that all further communication about this will be through my recruiter. When I further probed I was given the 2 weeks timeline. I would say you're in appendixman33 and feeling pretty sad for myself. It seems that we both have our interview same date and stil waiting. I still feel you have a better chance according to what you were told. I felt that they didn't want to reject me on my face so they just gave me the 2 weeks :( timeline. I am scared now!!!! I am overanalyzing but it is scary.

I was told the same thing about going through my recruiter - but I am still just as nervous as you are. I am eagerly awaiting the HireRight email and the call stating the next stage of the process. If I do not hear anything by the end of today, I plan to follow up and see if anything has happened. I haven't gotten the "thanks for playing" email so that is why I feel so good about all of this.

Just stay positive and patient! I am trying my hardest on my end but I am still just waiting in the balance.
 
I say .... YOU GOT IT!!!! Good Luck!!!! I am being as patient as I can, I have lost appetite over this haha. I felt so excited to come all this way with Apple, I am waiting for the offer call contingent on background check or a HireRight email. I was told since the class starta so late it will be at least 2 weeks and that just made me feel a rejection coming my way but have not received the dreaded email so keeping my fingers crossed for the BEST.

It's not over until it's over! :) Just stay patient and follow up in the next few days and see what is going on. From what I have read, this process does take a lot of time so I knew I needed to be patient.

I received a call to fill out the background check a few hours after my third interview. It took almost a month for mine to finish, but thats because I lived in three different states in the last ten years.

You're definitely not talking about this position because I think you said you start just about now. I have heard most people say they got a call for BGCHK within a few hours it couple days after third inteview but I sure hoe that's not the case with this position. So far everyone I know has gotten the same 1-2 weeks timeline and I will be the first one to know because I had my interview the earliest. I really want this like I am going to scream from joy if I get it hahahaha.

I was responding to a reply to my post about the iOS tech advisor position not iTunes chat advisor. , I said I was supposed to start april 7 but my background was taking longer than normal, so they are finding another class for me to join..
 
Oh wowwww!!!! iOS tech sounds good!!!! OMG I am getting butterflies!!!! My applying to final interview went so fast that this just feels super long. I am glad you finally got your BGCHK done Yayyyy!!!! Have fun at your training!!!!

I know someone who missed that same question recently. He was offered the position. Don't worry, it's not the end of the line necessarily. As long as you showed empathy for the person. All else can be taught! :) Good luck!

So I got a call today for the chat position. Yayyyyyyyyy! I'm super stoked. It was a very basic call asking about my experience, said the position would start in June and gave the pay rate and was I interested. Next interview will be coming up soon. I was freaking out because almost 2 months had gone by without me hearing from them so everyone who is freaking out too....we all just have to be patient I guess.
 
I just received an email to schedule a FaceTime interview for tomorrow!

I attended the info session several days ago. What's interesting was that the FaceTime interview was requested through email, not through some initial phone call screening interview.

I've read some posts here for the college AHA program that it only consisted of 1 interview, maybe this is the case.
 
Ill tell you one thing, it is stressful hearing back from them to see if I get a third interview or not. Im still not really sure how good or bad I did on the interview so I guess at this point id be happy for some feedback. Does anyone know if that 3-5 days is business days or not?

I am in the same place you are. I wasn't told 3-5 days. I was told a week and a half.

Everyone seems to be told something different. Strange huh? LOL:D
 
Yeah its strange lol well I dont remember hearing business days so by what they said, tomorrow would be the last day

I bet it would be business days. But like I said, everyone is told something different. If you are a student, I guess you only interview once. If you are interviewed for chat, seems you are called back right away. I wasn't interviewed for either of those. I think I was interviewed for CPU or iOS

At this point as long as we don't get the "thanks for playing" email, I guess we are still somewhat okay. :confused:
 
Thats what im thinking, no news is good news. I guess they know who theyre writing off first as opposed to who they are keeping lol

I was told 3-5 days, and I got the declined email. :( I reapplied under a bunch of locations. If I don't get selected then it's not meant to be. Good luck to everyone else.

Btw, my 2nd interview was April 1st and I got the email an hour ago.
