Bgc completed this morning and got a call from my recruiter a few hours ago telling me that I meet Apple's standards etc. etc. I'm so happy! That was grueling. I can't believe I made it.

I wish everyone good luck! :-D

Congrats! Feels good to be done with it eh?!

What position you apply for? I was told I was moving on over the phone. My last job I was at was only 6 months. However your questions were very different from mine.

I applied for a full time Applecare Advisor that was posted in September of 2014. I was originally a bit worried because when I first applied I didn't notice how old the posting was. Shortly after I applied for a customer relations position, but was shortly after contacted by a recruiter for the Applecare position.

----------

I do have a question for those who have made it or very close to making it. What kind of job history do you posses? I'm a bit worried that my brief job history could potentially be there only reservation. However I'm Apple Sales certified and do have a few friends working for Apple that I'm sure would vouch for me.

I'm very happy for you! I know this is a hard process and you've earned it!

An update on my situation: I got the dreaded email today.... thanks for your interest in apple but they are moving on with other candidates. Sucks but it is what it is. I want to reapply but not sure if I should wait...

To those who follow this thread. Its def not a good sign if you do not receive the third interview email within 2-3 business days after the 2nd interview has been completed. (weekends don't count).

And I have a question for those who have been turned down... Is there a time limit on when you can apply again? Should I make a new apple id? I really want this job.

Thank you and I wish everyone the best.

Cover Letter ?

Hi everyone!

I'm so thankful to have found this site. Forgive me if this has already been asked, but I was hoping to get some advice on who to address my cover letter to. I don't want to put "Dear Sir or Madam" and "Dear Mr. Cook" seems a bit of an overshoot. (haha)

I've tried to look up the manager name for the city I'm applying through, but to no avail

Thanks in advance for your help!

Waiting for BGC Background Call...

I applied for several positions of Apple Retail in 2013 but didn't hear from them then. But weeks ago I was contacted by an Apple recruiter about the position of At Home Advisor (Mandarin) via email on a Saturday (Jan 24). I thought it could be a great opportunity, so I applied right away.

- Jan 26 (Monday): 1st Interview with the same recruiter over the phone
- Jan 27 (Tuesday): 2nd Interview on HireVue
- Jan 28 (Wednesday): 3rd Interview on HireVue (Language Test)
- Feb 1 (Sunday): 4th Interview on HireVue with two team managers

Based on the pace of all of my four interviews, I start to feel sad that I have not heard from Apple after the final interview. One of the team managers told me that I would hear from Apple within two weeks. Now it has been one week already! Today I looked up online and realized that the position I applied has become unavailable. I don't know if I should stay positive :(

The 3rd interviewer told me to expect to be contacted in the next 1-2 days. (He hoped.) My final interview was on 1/29.... I contacted the recruiter from the original e-mail tonight. I am hoping to hear something soon because its making me sick to my stomach not knowing anything.

I would do either "Dear Apple Recruitment" or "Dear Apple Hiring Department". The Latter is the one I used for mine.

Apple sent me a rejection email around 2 a.m. today. So I'm out:(

I know the feeling. Don't worry though, I've heard we can reapply.

For those who have been rejected and applied again....

Did you just fill out a new application? (Is there a waiting period with this method?) Or did you make a new apple id and a new application?

Even though the rejection email encouraged us to reapply, I don't think we can because my application is still locked. Are you going to create a new Apple ID and reapply right away? My position is AHA - partner relations (Mandarin), and it is unavailable now. Unlike other positions, Apple doesn't keep reposting the position I applied constantly.

Apple College Advisor

Hi, first post - I've been reading this thread for a while now though...

For those of you who are looking for timelines:
College position -
Applied 1/27/15
Confirmed GPA - 1/28/15
Phone interview (5min) - 1/30/15
Skype interview - 2/3/15
Phone call extending offer contingent on background check 2/9/15
Background check email received 2/10/15

Can anyone give me any insight on how training will work? How interactive is it that they know you are there? Can someone share their experiences who went through it recently?

Thanks

Its been officially 2 weeks since the 3rd interview... Ugh! Come on :apple: I wanna work for you! Let me love you. Please!

----------

That second interview was kinda brutal....

Did they tell you, that you had a 3rd? They told me at the end of the 2nd interview. I really thought I did the worse ever. I was stumbling upon words, and my contacts were messed up which meant I couldn't see the words I was typing.

Sorry you have to wait so long! It must be awful. He said the interviewers will get together at the end of the week and decide who they want to move on. I should expect an email next week.

My interviewer said that he hoped they would get back to me in the next day or two and that I would have some paperwork to fill out. He also said that he hoped to see me soon and good luck in the future... So my stomach is in knots. I did call the recruiter line and they said they are still in the process.

When I was a senior in high school (2014) we had an intern program with technical phone support at an Apple call center, and before I graduated I had an interview with AHA, made it through three interviews and wasn't considered in the end.

Right now I'm schooling full time for pre pharmacy and I am really hoping for the graveyard chat job. I may have over applied (applied to basically all the cities), but my friend who is AHA for the college program referred me...

I also applied for the daytime AHA chat and my application is under "view" instead of "edit" now.
Graveyard chat is still under edit...

Everyone in graveyard seems to have been contacted already? It took three days after my initial AHA phone position.

I'm getting discouraged now, I graduated early in the prospect of being with Apple... type over 90 wpm... am a night owl... had 100% csats... low phone average time... I want to be part of Apple so much lol and show that I would fit in well.

Congratulations to everyone who are in the process of getting their positions!! I'm sure you're supremely the best!

I agree, it feels like everyone knows that they are getting in for the March class. I applied to every city too. I am applying for graveyard chat, and haven't heard anything since my 3rd interview on 01/29. Its making me sick. I am going nuts. Especially, since I was told by a doctor that I had to give up phone jobs because of my some vocal issues. Chat is really my only option left.

Ooh you've already had three interviews! You're amazing! If you happen to have the recruiter's email perhaps asking for an update on the process would help. They might not all be like this, but the AHA recruiter I talked to last time was very friendly and had wonderful communication. But wow, nice job to you! You deserve it.

Now I am hoping for just the first interview lol. I applied on 1/28, and again on 2/11. Definitely understand the need for chat as well. People asked my age over the phone so much it made it harder for people to take me seriously. Like they were talking to the supercomputer from Resident Evil.

Not sure if that is sarcasm or not. I applied to every location (mine wasn't listed), and got a call 3 hours afterwards. They are looking for customer service more so than technical. They told me that directly. Even though, I had a tech background. Did you include a cover letter? How about your customer service background? I did contact the recruiter and they told me they are still in the interview process. Which didn't help much, and I wanted like a time estimate since I was told from 1-2 days to 2 weeks maxed. Btw, I am going to college full time too. However, I need a full time position. I have heard the chat position is one of the best and people don't get burnt out from it like the other positions.

Oh no I'm sorry if it came out as sarcastic! It was meant to be genuine! I suppose that's a downside to typing things out lol. I honestly think it's amazing that you got contacted so quickly! I haven't gotten a call at all.

Apple does look at you as a person, as they can teach you how to solve technical problems, but not people skills. When I applied to the retail store my previous experience working in the call center didn't give me an advantage. At the end of the day it's how you make someone feel even if you can't solve their problem. With you having tech knowledge it's a plus though, because it just makes it easier to perform the best you can.

I have a cover letter, and the only jobs I had listed when I first got contacted was that AppleCare internship and a yogurt shop. :) I've had another seasonal job since then and my resume and cover letter have changed so maybe it wasn't for the better. I agree that this graveyard chat job is absolutely perfect, being full time, less stressful than phones, and one would able to manage school as well.

Sorry that they are being so vague to you in responding. I think in the end, they wouldn't leave you hanging, if it took another week or so. The good thing is you can always keep applying so hopefully you don't worry too much.

(Deleting other posts because I feel like I released a lot of private information, even if they are quoted.)

I didn't think it was sarcastic. I have released a lot of information here. I have heard they read and not read... I have a current job with another company, but the hours stink and graveyard sounds ideal. I am a night owl too, and have been spending this month to get on the right schedule. I am wondering if they might move to the next month class since I haven't heard any reply. I also think that because they are already interviewing for April. My current job I have only been at for 6 months and my other jobs were short. When I applied, I applied rapidly on a early monday morning and heard back 3 hours later. Everything was rushed that week, and since the last interviewer was hoping I would hear back in a day or two, it is driving me nuts. I doubt they will contact me until Monday if even. Also try applying during early morning hours of when they see your applications coming in. I boasted about the customer service skills. I use my college field (sociology) to help support that too.

After 18 days, I finally heard back. It was declined. I work for a college tech support through chat.
