So, I got the call today before my brother's wedding.

I officially start in the 11/5 class!

I am so glad to finally be past all the waiting, but it was worth it.

For those of you who have not been called, they called two weeks to the day that I talked to the hiring manager.

So, they are correct when they you will hear something in 2 weeks.

Good luck to all those out there still waiting and I will see my new virtual coworkers at training!
Yay. Another teammate! I start 11/5 as well

Grats to you!

Nothing here yet... 2 weeks was Tuesday this week. :( I'm giving up hope if I don't hear anything by tomorrow night. Either they are on the fence about me or something else... because I have not received a rejection letter yet. I've checked all my SPAM folders just in case too.

If you haven't gotten an email for rejection, then you will get a call.

I about gave up hope when I got called.

My recruiter told me she has been making ALOT of calls.

I was hoping for my hiring manager as my team leader, he seemed like good people, so I asked the question about if the change in schedule meant I wasn't going to be on his team anymore. I was advised that there were going to be 2 classes going forward on that date, and that team assignments were still up in the air.

Either way I look forward to getting the official confirmation email (which I was advised would arrive Monday) and 'seeing' those of you I see on 11/5.

Now to decide in what form I hand my 2-weeks notice to my current employer in...

I've been a stay at home mom since 5/25 so must give my 2 weeks to my kids and husband. Lol

I think I'm the only one ever to get a rejection letter who then got a offer call :)

Very true, buts you were an anomaly.

Well I officially deleted my questionairre! I finally received it and it came in my spam email, I accidentally hit empty on my spam and trash totally forgetting it was in there (my luck) I'm so hoping the recruiter will email me back because I can't remember their email address

I think there is one main person who contacts you.
I will send you his contact info.

If I were in your shoes I would call the Apple 1-800 number and ask to speak to someone in HR. Explained to the operator what happened.

What hours and days off will you have?

Days off vary but you will get at least one weekend day and as a noob you'll also get the evening shift. It may be different with CPU but every new iOS person I know is working the 2:30 - 11:30 PM (EST) shift.

That's good to know. With my old job I was 2-11 so I'm use to it

One of the first things I did when applying for this job was to whitelist the domain apple.com and set up a mail rule to dump all apple mail in a separate folder. If you are getting apple mail sent to a spam folder, that's on you.

There are at least a dozen recruiters who are coordinators who handle the paperwork and send out the questionnaires. The person who sent yours may not be the person who sent his.

That would be yahoo mail for ya, so unreliable sometimes

Thanks.

I sent him the questionnaire.
So, he should be good now.

I'm not sure if that was a wise thing to do. I'm not trying to be all gloom and doom but now that you've gotten an offer call, I would be very careful going forward. That questionnaire was for your eyes only. The proper thing for him to do would have been to contact human resources. You guys will see once you start training that Apple takes this stuff very serious and they won't hesitate to fire you.

We were told that there has been people fired during training for slipping up.

It was for eyes only, mine too just made a simple mistake. I didn't email anybody yet, I'll try contacting HR first then.

Btw, I promise not to say that "kool-aid drinker" on the forums told me to call you guys lol...

I understand what you're saying but since the email was forwarded to you I would definitely not include it any correspondence by email with Apple especially if your recruiter was not the same. :) Good luck to you!

Of course not, I won't send them anything unless directed by HR now. Thanks!

For anyone that is curious, our whole class was hired as "part-time", meaning 20 hours per week or as needed. We all got our schedules and we are all scheduled for 40 hours until further notice. If you wanted full time hours, you will probably get them. If you were actually hoping for a 20 hour work week... good luck with that.

What if they told us it was full time? Every email I have received says the position is a full time aha. I want 40hrs.

Also, what times could I expect a call? I'm going to be in some classes the next two weeks and don't know how often ill be able to answer the call.

I was called at 1:50pm eastern time. I was originally slated for 10/22 class as part time. Got a rejection email then 3 days later a call for full time starting 11/5

Ok, I'll just keep an eye out for a California or Texas number.

They've been stressing that's its full time to me the whole time. I'm assuming most of the 11/5 people are full time.
