You can say that again about waiting. I wish Apple sold iPatience. My 3rd interview was last Wednesday and still nothing. Will post as soon as I hear something either way. Still no email about BRC. :(

How long did it take between Apple getting your background information and your offer call? My background info was sent to :apple: yesterday and I'm very anxiously awaiting something :p thanks in advance!

mine was a little over a week from themn sending it back to :apple: as well. The wait was the worst. Everyone has a different timeframe though. I think they store them up for a little while then make a mass call/email out.

I ordered my desk it should be here next week!!! As mine was not usable.

Can anyone confirm that Apple hires out of state applicants? I don't see any openings in Oregon, would applying out of state get me anywhere?

i Believe they removed the 100 mile (from the store) rule but im not sure if it counts for out of state. You can try what you got to loose?

In the original email from HireRight, click the same link you followed to fill out the application. Use the password you set, not the one they sent you. There will be an area to check status and actually download the PDF of the report.

Quick question (well two)
1- my hire right status says Completed (took 4 days), how long does it usually take to get the offer call after completion?
2- does hire right usually let you know when they are done?

----------

I got the questionnaire more than two months after I originally applied.

Still just waiting on the questionnaire. How many weeks will I have to wait! RAWR! :D

You are not alone! I took my 3rd interview on Thu and I'm still waiting. Please give me a shot at that iPatience
How long did the interviewer tell you it would take during your last interview? The Team Manager with whom I had my last interview said it would take about 7 days. Tomorrow will be 1 week. Hopefully we'll both hear something soon. As I've written previously, I doubt it would take this long to receive a thank you for playing email but I sincerely just don't know. iPatience - the next big thing from Apple! ROFL!

Average length of their hiring process

Okay, I'm addicted to research and averages...So, I just went through this thread and looked at several ppl who were eventually offered a job by Apple. I compared the dates that their individual processes started (with questionnaires or phone interviews) to the dates they were each sent an official job offer. The length of the hiring process seems to take just about the same amount of time for everyone (with a handful of exceptions).
From that starting point, most people were made an offer within 20-25 business days (or 4 to 5 weeks). Those people whose processes started in Nov or Dec took close to 2 weeks longer, presumably due to the holidays. Those people who received the "moving forward with other candidates" email were informed sooner, again with a few exceptions.
In other words, it seems the longer you have to wait, the better the news will be! Good luck to all the nail-biters!

I made a thread for those of us in the 3/18 class (iOS). I figured it'd make a good study group when training starts. What do you think? Here's the link: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1542180/

Once training starts you will definitely NOT want to be posting anything on here or anywhere else about anything specific you learn during training or inside the Apple firewall. That includes confidential information, procedures, names, ideas--- ANYTHING. Once you sign the employment package you are inside the door and most definitely do not want to risk your employment. Do not take pictures or record anything externally. Do not print anything. If you write anything down (which you shouldn't really need to) you are expected to keep it secure and shred it when done with it.

There is not really any "studying" outside of work. When you are on the clock, you are working. When you are not on the clock, you do not work at all. You keep Apple inside your office and close the door when you clock out. Now that doesn't mean you can't work on/tinker with your own hardware or read public information to further your self knowledge in your off time obviously.

Oh yeah. I guess you're right :(

QUESTION ABOUT TESTING: Are the tests timed at all? Being that they are open-internet/book, it made me wonder...

Sure they're timed but if you know your stuff you'll have enough remaining free time to run to Starbucks, relax, have a latte and get back before the timer goes off.

Can someone share the actual hours shifts begin and end? Do you have flexibility to drop off/pick up kids at school? Are the tests multiple choice or list your answer?

I received the questions to answer but haven't had an official interview yet. Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer.

No one will go in to detail about the test questions due to NDA. Training schedule is full time no flexibility

Same here ... within 7 days. It may go down to the wire. I agree it shouldn't take this long for a "cya later" email. I'll be a beta tester for iPatience.

It has been a week today since I last heard anything from Apple. Still going with the premise that no news is good news. I second being a beta tester for iPatience. What date did they give you for training? They mentioned 3/18 to me but at this point, I'm not sure.

I wasn't sure if you'd be able to answer my questions because of NDA...are you able to say how the work shifts are scheduled?

So if one has kids, are you saying this would not be an ideal position due to no flexibility? I currently work 8-5.

Any one know if we are able to set up dual monitor?

I would also like to know this as well. am going to wait to see what imac they send before i get an extra monitor. I use 2 at home currently and only using 1 would not be ideal.
