Congrats! It looks like we may share a similar timeline. I'd love to stay up-to-date on your progress, so keep us informed. ;)

Will do:) My first interview is tomorrow. I think I only see you and me so far having an interview for 4.15. class in this forum. I bet people will start getting call/questionnaire very soon.

Paperwork session on Friday. Ill be starting March 4th.. Putting my 2 weeks notice in on Monday at my current employer. I'm so excited for class to begin! Who else is will be starting 3/4?

I'm so happy for all of you who are working for and will be working for Apple. After 3 interviews and a week and a day waiting, I received an email from the recruiter with whom I had the 2nd interview saying thanks for playing. All I can do at this juncture is keep looking online for another position to open up and apply again. Thanks to everyone for the guidance this forum has given.

Completed my second interview, moving on to interview three in a week. Pretty standard interview, went by very quickly only 10 minutes.

So about that iMac....

Hey everyone,
Maybe this is a dumb question.... maybe it isn't, but I'll ask it. A buddy of mine was a campus rep for Apple. He worked 1 year, and then quit. He was allowed to keep the work Macbook Pro and work iPad he received from them. Does this same thing apply with employees who do the AHA position for a year, or do they make you send back your work iMac? It's too bad they don't allow you to use your work iMac for personal use on a separate user account... however I doubt that management actually pays attention to this. If they do then I probably won't last too long with them if I get hired lol.

Employee purchase

Nice!!!!! DID anyone catch this news?

You have to send it back unless otherwise directed by apple at the term of your employment. (they may let you keep somthing that is older and unsellable or even usable again by them)

As for personal use i would ask your direct manager, but mostlikely a no go.

So about this iMac...

Yea you probably would have to send it back. I had my second interview recently.... the women (not going to name names) was a bit of an *******. Just very unpleasant, didn't sound like she wanted to be there, and rushed through the whole thing. Did some research on LinkedIn and found out she was new to the recruiting position. Idk... I don't think this job may be worth my time especially when I have a Bachelors Degree and can't even use my technical skills to the best of my ability. The pay being offered is okay, not the best for a so-called corporate position, but what else would you expect from a company of their stature? If I got hired I feel like I'd be stuck with this, or forced to leave for a better paying job. Especially since they're only offering part time as of now. I'd love to keep this as a side job, but with their inflexibility with employees schedules, they probably frown upon a second job. Decisions, decisions, decisions lol. Sorry just venting lol

Congrats!
Are you going to put the 2 weeks notice after receiving the offer email?
Putting 2 weeks notice after getting offer call is too risky right?

what was the amount they offered you guys for hourly wage. I was offered $14.50/hr (told it was standard pay actually) but I've read from other forums some people getting as much as $16 and others a little more.

i know this is not for me but here is my $0.02.

I personally wait untill you get the email and respond to if becasue the offer call still needs approved by HR thus you get the offer email later to respond to.
I was told during my offer call that all the paperwork would need to be approved by HR and i will get the offer e-mail with in a week as long as everything was approved.

Hope that clears that up for you.

I start 4/1 and currently have a job.

i got offer call and email.
I could work all the way until right before i start if i want to but im actually putting in my 2 weeks in, in about a week and a half :) (cant wait)

So i'll have a month to relax and set up my office!!

Im also going on 2 much needed vacations 1 with my lady and the other with my older brother.

They start at $14-1450 and offer you a different (or same) amount ( about 14-17$ from what i have seen) during the offer call. I imagine it is based on where you live.

I've tried using the thread search tool to find sample interview questions but they seem hard to find. I have a skype interview next week and would love any help with the types of questions asked :D

google them. the interview questions are all over glassdoor.com, and they're very basic. They seem more interested in you being extremely "sympathetic" toward the customers and showing "empathy" toward whatever their issue is no matter how ridiculous they may be. I was asked a certain question like "A girl is walking from class trips and falls and cracks her laptop screen. What do you say to her?" I took it as a technical issue so I stated what I knew about AppleCare and what she can do for repair costs etc. The interviewer got upset at the fact that I didn't show empathy, and ask if the customer was okay, and to suggest that they calm down and feel better before calling about the laptop etc. But yea above all show empathy, know what RAM means, know how to troubleshoot Mail from the Mac OS, and just do your best with the technical bs. Remember Empathy>Technical Knowledge for this position. I have interview 3 soon, and im not sure what questions come up there but was warned that it would be a 30-60min phonecall/facetime or Skype call, and that I'd be doing a couple practice scenarios where I am the AppleCare Advisor and they are the customers. That's all I have lol

Interview 3

Could anyone describe the third interview, in the sense of the types of questions were asked, and how it went for them?

Whew. . .reapplied again this morning

for same position in Columbus, Ohio. Fingers and toes crossed that someone will get in touch with me but we'll see. Is there a 6 month wait before reapplying or anything else in place? Also, I used a new Apple ID.
