So any help is appreciated as obviously I didn't get through the first time. I need help on interview questions. What answers are they looking for?
-If someone were the knock on your door while your working? What would you do?
-where is your personal cell phone while working. If it rings what do you do.
-how to explain Ram to someone who has never owned a computer and doesn't know what it means.
-what if your Mac drops and doesn't turn on?
-questions I have for them?? I dunno. What are you really supposed to ask. I already knew more about the job probably than what she told me because of this forum. Maybe I screwed up because I said I was prepared because I have read into forums. I just felt like she kept drilling me. I probably had a good 30 questions and now I can't think of all of them.

Just looking for some answers. Like I've said before I've never interviewed before this so I'm not really sure what they are looking for.

I really appreciate everyone so far and this forum.

The biggest that you need to keep in mind is empathy "Oh wow Im sorry to hear you dropped your ipad and it and now it wont turn on." other than that just know the basics and be honest if you don't know something don't try to BS it. They are more so looking to know that you can convey the empathy and provide the "Apple" experience. they will teach you the rest.

Sample responses to your questions above:
-My home office will be away from my front door. So if someone knocked, I would ignore it! The customer is always my #1 priority.

-My personal cell phone is turned off while working. It should never ring, but if it did I would ignore it. Again, while working the customer has to come first.

-Think of your memory. You have short term and long term memory. RAM is like a computer's short term memory. It only remembers the information long enough to use it and then forgets. **This is obviously not all that is involved with RAM, but the short term/long term memory analogy seems to be the best answer for people who know nothing about computers

- Like another user already said, make sure you imbue everything with empathy. "Oh no! I completely understand how upset you must be about your mac. I am going to help you take care of the problem as quickly and efficiently as I can. Have you tried connecting the mac to a power source..."

-Ask them questions like: What does a typical day look like for an AHA? How soon are employees eligible for advancement opportunities? How long do employees stay with the company (on average)?
*They just want to see that you are interested and have the ability to ask thoughtful, engaging questions to learn more about the position.

This is only my opinion based on my interview and how things went for me in the application process. I'm currently in the "my background check came back clean and I'm waiting with bated breath for an offer call" camp. Hopefully this helps! I'm definitely rooting for you :)

3/11 Class Equipment

Has anyone that's in the 3/11 class received their equipment? If so, did you get an email with tracking information when they shipped it?

I'm getting excited.....:D:apple:

Received "I accept" email

After exactly 1 week of my phone "offer", today I got "I accept" email!!! This is for a student AHA position. I will be starting in May. Any other students here, who made it to May class?

Good luck to those who are waiting. There is hope. Don't give up.

Just my gut, but I wouldn't mention the forums at all.

Honestly, I mentioned the forums too, but I was kind of non-specific. I just said that I had been "doing research" about the position. The little bit I let him know that I knew probably made me sound like a research wizard. :D
Vague is good in some ways: let them fill in the blanks a little.

First time with applying for Apple

How long does it take to hear from Apple or HireRight?

The k you! I knew about the empathy but when it came down to it. My mind went completly blank. And I think they think I should know more than I do. I'm called the 'IT manager' but in no way am I a manager. I'm the only one employeed here in my dept. we have an outside tech who handles most of the iT related servers email etc. I'm a messenger. That's what I feel like anyways. Most things come through me and if I can fix it I do if not I pass it along to him. So knowing how a computer runs and CPU ram etc. not so much. Maybe I just need to dumb down my résumé. The First person I talked to said I was over qualified. That may be true in some aspect but not really.
Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it! :)

Your interviewer may have given you a time frame, such as 5 to 7 business days. (I think you said you had already had your 3rd interview and were in the background check stage.) That is usually fairly accurate. For me, it was 3 business days, but other people who had their interviews earlier than me were contacted on the same day.
From what I have seen, when you are contacted depends on which training class you are up for, and whether you applied for Corporate AHA or Student AHA. For example, many of the ppl in the 4/15 class have (from this forum) have already received their HireRight emails.

Does that answer your question?

I just said when she asked if I had any questions about the job that I had read some forums on others going through this process so I felt like I knew what it entails. Next time. If I get a next time. I won't even mention it just to be safe.
