Hey everyone!

I'm new to this forum but I'm excited about it! I am waiting for my new mac to arrive next week and I have my official interview with the Apple hiring manager this Friday. For the people still waiting to hear back at all I think it was about two weeks before I even got the questionnaire but I got a call later that day after submitting it. I was just wondering what they ask on the second interview for people who have gone through it already? I've worked in a credit card processing call center for well over a year so dealing with angry customer & showing empathy/patience isn't a problem for me. Its just all the tech I need to learn. But I started with no knowledge with credit card terminals now I'm in level II tech, so I know I can do it. But any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!
:D

I had a 2nd interview, but then apparently dropped off the face of the Earth. I have not heard to move forward or go away. I re-applied, but nothing from those applications either. I will share what I was asked.

1) Specs of my computers
2) What Apple products I own/use
3) What does customer service mean to me
4) The difference between IMAP and POP email servers
5) What is iCloud
6) Student has a final term paper due. Digital copy is on macbook which was dropped on way to class and won't start. 3 minutes til class starts. How do I handle?

Pretty much the jist of it.

Best of luck :)

Thanks for the reply techsrus. I'm sorry it hasn't worked out with them. That's a bummer. I know they're hiring for April so they may just be going through the applicants in the order they receive them.
Do you remember what you said for the macbook question? Other than empathy of course. I'll admit I'm not a computer whiz so I'm worried about that part. But thats great thanks for the heads up, I would have had no idea on the IMAP & POP question. I'm going to need to research that one for sure :)

Also check pages 40 and 100 for more questions, if you haven't already

Not to worry so much. From what I have read, it is more about who you are than what you know. Both interviewers just told me April start and then...nothing. lol I'm patient but also if it's not meant to be I will move on to the next. Just because I think the job would fit my life perfectly, does not mean that it necessarily will. Regardless, the decision is not up to me :)

Cray cray? Yeah, you'll fit in at Apple just fine.

reviewing this thread makes me kind of feel okay about not getting considered ;)

If you're older or have a lengthy tech background or prefer working with professionals as opposed to consumers, you would not have liked this job at all.

I had my Skype interview today and was told that I would receive an email containing a link to schedule my 3rd and final interview today. Has anyone else on this forum scheduled their interview with a Team Manager through an email link? If so, how long should I expect my wait to be? Thanks a lot!

When I did my 3rd I got the email about two hours after 2nd interview

Hey all.
I've been following this forum for a while and all of your guys info has really helped me out. I applied for the college AHA position through my university. I had my interview about three weeks ago and the same day of my interview I got the BGC. It cleared and now I'm just waiting for an answer. I'm hoping that I get the job! Thanks for all your guys help!

AG I can't wait this will be lot better than last job in a call center others behind talking loud about sexual conquests here I will have peace and quiet yay

Both. I said it in a sarcastic manner but I was being serious at the same time because most of the people at the AHA level talk like 16 year olds.

Are those the type of people that move up, or does it seem that the more serious and professional people are the ones moving up in the company?
