This thread has been amazing for me since i started the process and im just waiting for my bgc so im rather excited right now. I've almost read all the posts and keep hearing about the "gift" box and i really want to know whats inside. If someone would be so kind as to PM me it would be much appreciated

I don't think I have seen much about this... But is everyone sending in a cover letter when they apply? I thought that was pretty standard. If so, any tips as far as that goes? Anything I should for sure mention?

Thanks in advance.

After reading the job requirements, it states "High-speed Internet service (2Mbps or better) from a reliable provider." This doesn't specify the upload and download speeds. Thank you for your assistance. Have have my answer from another reliable source.

God help us all!

Using semantics to cover laziness and embarrassment, never seen that argument before.

This topic has been covered in the thread. if you want specifics look, but the choice of a cover letter is discretionary however highly advised.

Hello everyone! Can someone tell me the required internet speeds?

Thanks:apple:

I Hope those responses don't deter you from asking future question its just this info is covered in the application, questionnaire, interviews, and is readily available.

its just a little tough love.

No its not. This thread is for people that want to be a technical support representative for Apple. Intellectual laziness is not an option. The least people could do is spend 30 seconds with google or search this thread instead of expecting an answer to be just dropped in their lap.

Currently left waiting for bgc and thinking...

I had asked hiring manager if it was possible to move after accepting position. She did confirm they have a process for moving, even out of state. Does anyone know if there are restrictions for this? Sounds too good to be true, can live wherever I wish and still work from home.

I understand and agree with what your saying, but the reality is that this forum is like a community if your with a group of friends and you want to know when some movie comes out you don't go let me google that you just say hey john when does that movie come out again.

This forum has that same vibe so its easy to get lost in that. when I first started lurking I only went maybe 20 pages back but when questionnaire didn't come I was like let me start from page 1 and armor up so I am not missing out on anything.

So for any newbies that are wondering if all the info in the forum is still relevant the answer is yes everything from page 1 to 231. Everything from initial application to offer call, reapplying, cover letter desk and chair requirements its all here and if you ask a question thats already been answered prepare to be angrygerbiled lol

I knew it!!! I'm so happy for you!! :D

I was afraid to respond to your "...HireRight on the weekends...?" question; didn't wanna jinx you. But CHECK you OUT!

lol no worries! and thank you so much! I appreciate all the support you gave me- Couldn't of done it without you!!
:D:D:D

It's a hard fact, but it's true. There is a lot of useful info in this thread, and most of the people who have done the work and the research have had good results in their efforts to work for Apple. This is (from this thread) obviously not a lazy-man's kind of job (not saying anyone in specific is lazy; just in general). Reading all or most of the posts on this thread is probably the easiest part of this whole process so far, at least for me.

Congrats! It's a great feeling. Now the long wait for the BGC to come back and the offer call. Almost there!! Keep patient and everything should work out. I'm supposed to get a call today in the evening. Im praying its my offer call! Everything seems to be falling in place finally.

lol thank you !!! yea, I am dreading the wait LOL, but at least I am almost there! and congrats to you as well, you have worked hard to get this far!!!
I bet you can't wait to start training and everything lol! :)

You are so right I cannot wait. But nothing is final until I get this offer call. Anything can happen. Glad this thread worked out because it has helped me get through it all. When is your projected start date?

It amazes me how some like to place judgement on others. In response to reading the thread to find an answer...yes this thread dates back to 2011 of a lot of info. And yes, I've read most of it. Some information I may not retain because it's just to relevant to me. Some of us may not make to the time to fully research for a specific answer. One reason for me...I have a life outside of being on a blog all day. I can care less about someone's angry or nasty attitude on this blog. Thank you to all who can show some type of kindness to those that have questions or those that just have a comment. See you all later! :apple::cool::apple:

That is true! But I highly doubt that will happen to you! :)
& My training starts the Monday after finals since I applied as a student at home advisor.

I agree with you, but lets clear one thing up, it's not a blog it's a forum, 2nd thing is people who actually want the job and care wouldn't mind taking the time to research and go through the motions like everyone else has. I agree don't be rude, but at the same time don't be rude to come into a Forum that has been around since 2011 and just skip to the end and ask a question. It's not being lazy it shows your character and the type of worker you are. One who just wants results and others to do it for them. I can assure you that 99% of the job questions, the type of work you will be doing, pay and all that good stuff is listed. Take the time. OH and I have 4 kids and a full time job and still managed to do it. If you really want the job it will pay off just reading. Good luck to everyone.

This isn't a blog. This is a full-fledged forum with many subforums within it. As a consumer, I really would hope that if I for some reason called Apple for tech support that I would not get someone who doesn't even know the difference between a blog and an actual discussion forum. If they don't even know about that very basic online situation or care about knowing the difference, my question becomes: why would this individual care about or be informed about or actually able to help me with whatever question I might have?

Ah, but you have not yet been hired by Apple, have you?
