It amazes me how some like to place judgement on others. In response to reading the thread to find an answer...yes this thread dates back to 2011 of a lot of info. And yes, I've read most of it. Some information I may not retain because it's just to relevant to me. Some of us may not make to the time to fully research for a specific answer. One reason for me...I have a life outside of being on a blog all day. I can care less about someone's angry or nasty attitude on this blog. Thank you to all who can show some type of kindness to those that have questions or those that just have a comment. See you all later!![]()
This isn't a blog. This is a full-fledged forum with many subforums within it. As a consumer, I really would hope that if I for some reason called Apple for tech support that I would not get someone who doesn't even know the difference between a blog and an actual discussion forum. If they don't even know about that very basic online situation or care about knowing the difference, my question becomes: why would this individual care about or be informed about or actually able to help me with whatever question I might have?
Ah, but you have not yet been hired by Apple, have you?
Sorry but the question you asked required nothing more than to put "aha apple job" in google and to bring up the actual job requirements on apple's job site. One half of this job is being able to research and find solutions as quickly as possible... with sometimes very little to go on.
I don't expect people to parse this whole thread trying to find an answer to a specific question but I've seen too many asked in this thread that were easily answered with google and 15 seconds of time. If you don't have drive, curiosity and initiative I don't want you working on my Macbook or iPhone.
Angry? No Judgmental? You bet
Actually I was hired! And the hiring manager stated that I am the best interviewer she's ever had and that I set the bar!
Me too me too me too!!! I got my offer call just a little while ago. Starting April 15th, with Wayne.Thank you, again and again, to everyone who contributed to this site. And especially to those who offered funny or soothing comments when I was pulling my hair out.
What a great community to be a part of!
Well good luck and keep us posted. From this point on it's pretty smooth sailing. I love San Diego, did Military training there for a while.
Just a quick update. I got my offer call just now and it's official once I accept the email. What a relief! Can't wait to start on 15th April, said computer will be arriving on 12th!
I am assuming they for get sometimes with all the applicants they receive daily. My recommendation is to email your recruiter and follow up.I completed my interview via Skype over a month ago and received an email for my background check the same day as the interview. My background check has been completed for a couple of weeks now but I have not received an offer call or an email saying no thanks.
Has anyone else went through the background check and not received an offer? (My check was definitely clean)
Also, has everyone that didn't receive an offer received at least an email saying that they were no longer being considered?
I'm just completely confused on why Apple would waste money on a background check if they didn't intend to hire me.

Great news, TeeLee!!! Congratulations!
Congrats to those who were hired! To those that are waiting...remain patient!

I agree with you, but lets clear one thing up, it's not a blog it's a forum, 2nd thing is people who actually want the job and care wouldn't mind taking the time to research and go through the motions like everyone else has. I agree don't be rude, but at the same time don't be rude to come into a Forum that has been around since 2011 and just skip to the end and ask a question. It's not being lazy it shows your character and the type of worker you are. One who just wants results and others to do it for them. I can assure you that 99% of the job questions, the type of work you will be doing, pay and all that good stuff is listed. Take the time. OH and I have 4 kids and a full time job and still managed to do it. If you really want the job it will pay off just reading. Good luck to everyone.

Bottom line is if you can't do your research do not apply.
This is a research oriented job, so looking for answers here will help you once you get hired . If you can't take time to research your info and answers, then you are not going to make it past the new hire training and tests, let alone the job.

Hello All! First, I want to say thanks to each of you who contributes to this forum. The information is very informative. Second, I want to say congratulations to the ones who have gotten their offers! Way to go! Finally, I want to say that I'm so NERVOUS. My third and final interview is tomorrow. I can honestly say that I do not do well with interviews. I tend to go blank. Do any of you have any last words of advice or wisdom for me? Like: what questions may be asked, and if I'm under consideration will the interviewer tell me? I know Windows inside and out. I've worked on Windows PC's for over ten years. However, Apple is a new, yet intriguing world for me. I love technology and I truly want to be a part of Apple's team. Anyway, I've gotten off track. Any last bits of advice? If it goes well, will the interviewer tell me or will I have to play the waiting game? It's all gone very quickly for me thus far. I completed my profile and sent in my resume' last week. I received a phone call from a recruiter about two hours later along with a questionnaire. I was set up for a face interview the next day. Finally, a week later, I'm up for my last interview. I'm hoping for the best! Thanks to all that contribute here!
