Tips

Hello everyone! I am just so grateful for this forum and:) for everyone who contributed, it has helped me a lot prepare for my interviews. As a way of giving back, I would like to share some tips in preparing yourself for your upcoming AHA interview.

1. EMPHATY - more than being techy, this is what they want to hear from you. Always highlight emphaty when answering customer service related questions.

study/practice these commonly asked questions:

why apple?
tell me about your customer service experience
what is ram?
how do you show emphaty?
what is Operating System?
what is hard drive?
what is the difference between hardware and software?
a customer cannot receive/send email on iphone
customer iphone broke, what will you tell him/her
printer could not print
customer lost her iphone and it contains confidential information, what will you tell her
customer could not get online
tell me about your experience with iphone/itunes

TIP: if you have no experience with Apple products or if you are not a technical person, don't worry, just be honest and show that you are willing to learn.

Hope that helps. Again, thanks everyone and goodluck!

Background check.....

Getting very excited here. Just check in with HireRight and the background check is completed without any additional info needed. I am going to take this as very good news. Now just the wait on the offer email or call. From what I have got out of this thread is that they offer calls seems to come in a month before the start date. My class is supposed to start May 6th. I have wanted to work for this company for so long. I am so super excited to work from home. *crosses fingers* Hope this all a good sign.

I am in the same boat as you buddy! we shall wait for the wait call together LOL. Did you applt for the regular AHA position or the student one?

I had my 3rd skype interview today.. personally I felt great about it.. the hiring manager was very nice but very elaberate on his career with apple more so than the interview itself. I received an email from HR two days before the 3rd interview stating that they wanted me to do an official application.. is this a positive sign??........if given the job I will be with the may 6 class. all questions and answers are welcomed!!

They're bringing in a ton of new people. So as long as you feel things went well with the interviews and the people that interviewed you smiled a lot and seemed interested in you, I wouldn't worry about a thing. How'd all that experience go for you so far?

Thanks!!! I needed this passage... I had my final skype today, but not an bgc right after the interview like most ppl in the forum...I feel really good about the final interview, I kept a smile on the managers face..although empathy wasn't a big deal in my interview...just more so...what will you do, type of questions....

A phone ?

What type of phone does Apple provide and can you hook a wired headset to it? Does anyone know? Or does Apple provide a headset. I can't imagine working calls with a handset cocked between your shoulder and ear all day... thanks!!

OMG, So a recruiter called me at 3:22 PST and my phone didn't ring or receive the call. However, she left a voicemail and my phone didn't receive it until 20 mins ago. I left a recruiter a VM hoping she will call back. Do you think she will call back or do you think she will think I am no longer interested?????

AHHHHHHHHHHH I'M FREAKING OUT!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I think you'll be ok, there are a lot of people applying/interviewing though. Don't be surprised if it takes them a while to get back to you. Good luck!!

If you're sure it was an offer call then there's nothing to worry about. You'll get a call back. It was fine to call your recruiter back and to leave a voicemail.

Thanks! Can't believe my phone didbt ring or anything. Funny time for my phone to start acting weird lol

you need a headset, plantronics makes good ones

go here for answers to questions like that.

----------

it's just another typical example of a fml situation and how life works. :)

----------

if you had "what would you do if..." questions then empathy statements needed to have been incorporated into your responses.

----------

using the computer works better if you can type faster than you can write.

i did pertray empathy, hope all goes well with this....i applied for part but was recruited for full time....

----------

Anyone from recent classes(APRIL OR MAY) received prompt response with the hireright....i would love to see recent timeline inputs for bgc emails.....

Thanks!!!

So I received the offer call this morning! I am so happy words cannot describe.

Thank you everyone on this thread for getting me through this process!

Now I am waiting for the offer email which comes in a week or two

:D

When did you do the background check? How long from when it was completed until the offer call? I checked HireRight and the check is done. So now I am just waiting.

For me, the offer call came three days after my background check was finished, but it varies for everyone. :D
