My background check cleared clean a week ago and I hadn't heard anything so I wrote my recruiter to make sure he received it and he said that they are still making a decision and that I should hear back within a couple weeks. Passing the background check must not mean you are definitely getting hired after all. It will definitely suck if I end up waiting all this time only to find out I'm not getting the job!

how many interviews did you make it through last time? did you create a new itunes id or use the same one? I just totally revamped my resume and did a smoother cover letter.

how long did it take to hear back this time around for you?

I Wouldent think it would be "weeks" you know how many times I've heard that from apple over this period of time since my application started? Probably 8 or 9 times. But everything happens typically within that week. (For me at least..)

The first week has already came and gone for me so I'm not sure how it will pan out. I know that another forum member just got his offer call recently after wailing 2 weeks and from completed background check and someone else said they waited 3.

Did any of y'all experience HireRight to call your old employees less than 24 hours after submission of BGC. All my employers today and I submitted my application yesterday at 2:30. I know my court system is pretty big close to Dallas. Court turnaround time is 2 days ugh

As far as my timeline: I applied back in November of last year. I never heard anything until march. After that from questionnaire to now it's probably been about 6 weeks.

Alright so I got the position for CPU F/T and I start 6/17.

When would I get paperwork, equipment, etc.

What should expect working in CPU group? Are managers cool? Vacation time? Etc etc.

CPU F/T ..6/17 also...I have the same questions, hope someone on here answer these for us....:apple::apple::apple::apple:

Freelancers?

Hi there. I have been reading the forums for a while, but never posted. I have a big problem. I saw some people on here did freelance. Did anyone else not have DBA, 1099s,professionally prepared tax documents etc? I never made enough to do more than a Schedule C, no one job over $600 that required a 1099 and taxes were self-prepared. I had nothing that HireRight could use to verify my work for this job. the rest of the report is fine. My recruiter is asking for these documents and I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated! I feel a bit weird giving out my tax info too, but I guess I can do it if I have to. I do have a few clients she could speak to for references but I don't think that will do.

one day, rock solid

Congratulations!!! How long was your background process total? :)

From my end HireRight has done well.

but i'm and easy case...

I'm not sure how they made the interstellar call those.

Thanks and all the Best,
JM

Part-time AHAs who work 20 or more hours are Corporate employees. They get full Corporate benefits. Retail employees must work a minimum of 30 hours to receive their benefits. They are not Corporate employees.

Just tell it like it is.

Thank and All the Best,

I had my first interview with the recruiter tonight. Everything was going well until she got to the two role playing questions. They both had to do with products breaking and screens cracking. I was kind of stumped. I was expecting more general tech questions like "What does RAM do?", or "How would you troubleshoot a printer?" I know that the job focuses on Apple products, obviously, but I figured we would learn about troubleshooting Apple products in training. The best I could come up with for the unresponsive laptop was "plug in to an outlet to verify power, and restore backed up data to other devices" or something like that.

I tried to reassure myself that the next interview would get into more technical questions, and that this first one was just to gauge personality, work experience, and ideas on proper customer service. Oh well, we'll see.

Training starts the middle of next month, so the process, good or bad, should be quick.

You'd be amazed on how fast time flys. But it really does take along time. 1,2,3 interviews. then another a few day wait. then a week for the background, then another week for them to get the results. then week 1/2 for them to tell you, you got the job. then forever to receive paperwork then equipment. it is a long process. lol

How deep do you guys get into troubleshooting windows iTunes installs? I imagine it could get pretty ridiculous in certain situations.

Not too deeply beyond an uninstall/reinstall most times. I'll typically go beyond the scope of support when dealing with windows and outlook, only because I've spent 20 years administering windows networks.

More often than not it boils down to flaky USB drivers or a BIOS issue and then the difficulty lies in convincing the customer that it's not an iTunes problem, it's a problem with the machine.

I did freelance for 12 years with no DBA and told HireRight to just say,"no verifiable employment". I still got hired. The recruiter asked you for those documents? Or HireRight? Apple never asked me for anything beyond proof of citizenship.

iTunes Chat?????

Has anyone heard back about the iTunes Chat job yet?
I sent my resume to them April 1st.

HireRight

Hey guys, so I have been lurking this forum since about march...you guys have been a very big help to me even if you didnt know it XD

I completed my last interview on April 1st. Got my Hireright email a couple of days later. Submitted a w2 that hireRight needed for employment verification...and now...nothing. When i log onto HireRight website it says my background check is still in progress...

I am not sure what is taking so long? I don't have any records of any sort, not even a traffic citation...my credit is fairly good...I didn't lie about any employment history on my resume and submitted the documents they needed...

The holdup is frustrating........is hireright always this slow??? Argh....

If my BG check ever completes and I get an offer, I was originally told it would be for the 5/20 class, part time, but they never specified CPU or iOS and I forgot to ask.

After 2 days my background check completed! Woke up to it this morning :)

If your 5/20 more likely than not your CPU P/T

Hi AngryGerbil!
Thanks for your response! HireRight asked me for these documents and then said the documents weren't applicable to my case. I was told to call the recruiter to let her know so they could close that part, so I did. Now my recruiter is asking for those same documents. I don't know what to do. I really need and want this job. :(

Can someone tell me what this means. I called Hire Right to check the status of my background check and a rep tells me it completed on the 15th but when I check the Hire Right page it shows in progress no action needed by me at this time. I see where someone said they called and got a copy but when I asked what the results were she just said completed and sent to recruiter. Can someone chime in on what this means? I am supposed to be CPU on 5/20 pt. Thanks in advance.
