Hi AngryGerbil!
Thanks for your response! HireRight asked me for these documents and then said the documents weren't applicable to my case. I was told to call the recruiter to let her know so they could close that part, so I did. Now my recruiter is asking for those same documents. I don't know what to do. I really need and want this job. :(

I was kind of in the same boat. and they had my BGC done within 48 hours. they didn't ask for any documents, thank god. But I did submit some extra stuff not pertaining to my old jobs, but my current one. I don't know if this sped up the process at all or not. But thank god :)

Can someone tell me what this means. I called Hire Right to check the status of my background check and a rep tells me it completed on the 15th but when I check the Hire Right page it shows in progress no action needed by me at this time. I see where someone said they called and got a copy but when I asked what the results were she just said completed and sent to recruiter. Can someone chime in on what this means? I am supposed to be CPU on 5/20 pt. Thanks in advance.

Hi there
This means that the recruiter has the information they need to make a final decision. They will look over it, contact you if they need anything or if you get the job. At least that is my take on it. :)

So should I just wait to hear something or try to call my recruiter? Thanks for your reply.

No problem, MacMan. I would just wait and see! If there were no discrepancies I would think you were good!
That's the thing HireRight didn't say anything about discrepancies just said it was completed and sent to the recruiter. How can I find out if there were any problems? Or if it says completed does than mean all is good? Sorry for so many questions I am just very anxious to get this job. I love Apple and really want to be part of the team. ;)

Here's how you can get your report within 15 minutes. Call (866) 521-6995 press 1 I believe. You want to pull your own report. Make sure you have your request ID number. Last for digits of social, name and email. They will email YOU a copy of the report and you'll have it within 15 minutes. :) good luck. I found there Wasent any discrepancies this morning, and it just got done this morning too!

Not sure what to tell you. I don't know why the recruiter is asking you for proof of employment docs... Apple pays HireRight to do the BGC and then Apple makes a decision based on interviews and a BGC. In all honesty I just assumed that the BGC was just a formality since you're more or less hired if they decide to have HireRight do one.

I have not seen anyone not get hired once Apple decided to do a BGC.

Thanks for the advice. I got the report every job I listed shows a discrepancies of some kind. Be it the job title or the exact dates. No criminal stuff or court stuff which I knew. I hope this doesn't mess me up. Best of luck to you!

Has anybody in this thread gotten an offer call for the 5/20 PT CPU group yet?

For those that already work for Apple or who received an offer recently, what was the wait time once the BGC was complete?

I'm scheduled for the 5/20 class If I get the PT job and my background check completed one week ago but I haven't heard back yet. Is your background check done? If so when did it complete? Thanks!

So I got a call from a recruiter today! Here's what worries me. She said she thought I was a great fit and everything but she said she had to look over my resume again and talk to other recruiters and that I would hear back within 3 days. Is that a bad sign+?

My BGC was complete at 9am 4/16. I am just assuming since there is still a month before 5/20, there is probably another class before that that they are giving attention to.

Hmm.. Thats weird. Ever since my recruiter sent me on my way to my second interview, we have been emailing each other. And she seems to be pleased with me. In all honesty, I don't think she has any control over me getting hired or not. Sounds like she keeps pushing me towards the Hiring Manager and the second guy I interviewed with. today I emailed her a Thank You for letting me get this far with Apple. And her response was "Great! Glad you like it, I hope you get the Job with Apple too! There a great place to work!" So, I don't know who to call/email. I don't know who has jurisdiction on me when it comes to hiring me.

Who was your recruiter?

Apple has protocols for things beyond your control. If you call in beforehand and report it to the toll-free number (you speak to someone) and your Team Manager and/or the Manager on Duty it will be documented in your schedule for that day. If you do it right, you won't incur any infractions or attendance warnings. The key is communication. And they will request verification of your downtime. If your Internet is down, you'll need to contact your ISP's technical support and open a ticket. You provide that ticket number to your Team Manager. It doesn't pay to try and get slick, stuff can be verified.

Kelly is a different story. Very inflexible because it's a staffing company. Folks come and go. Worried about keeping their contract with Apple, that's about it.

I am in the 5/20 class through Apple. I lost power during hurricane sandy so, this make me nervous. Document, document, document.

I received an offer call last Friday. It was about 3 days after the BGC was complete. I still havent received the offer email. He said from 5-7 business days for that.

I received the further questions email for the Itunes Chat position!! Hopefully I will get the interview email soon.

Thanks again AngryGerbil. I am providing references and I guess I have to send my private tax documents too. I may be the first to not get the job after BGC. :(

That's truly odd. If anyone else in this thread has had Apple(not HireRight) ask for employment history documentation, feel free to chime in.

Is there a difference between the offer call and offer email?
Thanks

Offer call comes first and then they send you an offer email. When you get the email you have to respond with "I agree" or "I disagree". This is what is official to get the ball rolling. Once you reply back they then ask when do you want to set up a time for an HR session. You get a packet in the mail from FedEx and go over all of the paperwork in the packet. Have to have some it verified. I did mine at my bank, Chase. They fax it to them, you call to make sure all looks good and then they email you a FedEx label to send all of your paperwork back.
