Offer call comes first and then they send you an offer email. When you get the email you have to respond with "I agree" or "I disagree". This is what is official to get the ball rolling. Once you reply back they then ask when do you want to set up a time for an HR session. You get a packet in the mail from FedEx and go over all of the paperwork in the packet. Have to have some it verified. I did mine at my bank, Chase. They fax it to them, you call to make sure all looks good and then they email you a FedEx label to send all of your paperwork back.

Awesome! Thanks so much! What needs to be verified?
Whoops. And what else gets verified by HR?

I know a few people have been asked by Apple!

Interesting... maybe they're being a little pickier nowadays. I was hired after 2 interviews and not once did they mention that I effectively had no work history. It may or may not have something to do with my age and the fact that I was able to recount exactly what I've done on IT projects over the years.

Smooth as silk, two-three day and hireright was don't zero contact, Ezcept the email let me know it was complete.

Pretty painless I must say.

Yeah, mine was pretty easy too. I was almost certain that I was going to have a hardtime with them when it comes to a paper trail. But nope. a few phone calls later to my old employer(s), I'm all set! Just waiting on offer call!

Yes, the offer call is a telephone call.

The offer email is, well an email with the offer.

Simple, it's not your father's Red Hat.

Good Luck,

Smart @ss. lol. I just meant I mean like they can't say you have the job during the Phone Call, and then for whatever reason rescind that and then send you an email saying "Thanks For Playing.."

They want a notary public or a manager at an Apple store to check your ID and social for your I-9. To make sure you are who you say you are and verify you are a legally allowed to work.

After 2 days my background check completed! Woke up to it this morning :)

If your 5/20 more likely than not your CPU P/T

I think so too. I remember the troubleshooting questions in my interview all had to do with the PC and nothing to do with any iOS devices, so I figured as much. I am happy that it will likely being CPU, I imagine it will be a bit more challenging than working with iOS...Anything to make the work day a little less monotonous will be welcomed.

That was the worst aspect of my previous job, we dealt with a myriad of issues but 50% of my calls it seemed were dominated by "my TV is displaying a fuzzy screen, there's no picture!" And the subsequent "I apologize for that, but I am happy to be able to assist you in getting this fixed. It's real easy! Do you know where your remote is? Press the input button, please. You have a picture now? Awesome! Remember, to watch TV, you always need to be on HDMI 2/component 1/etc. If you ever see this fuzzy screen or a blank picture, try hitting the input button first. Most likely, that will resolve your issue and if you still need assistance, we're always here! Is there anything else I can assist you with?"

I don't mind helping people with simple issues, but the more complex ones were always a welcomed break :p

And my background check just completed today, less than an hour after I made a post complaining about how long it was taking :p Some of previous employers were hard to reach, it seems.

So....now I just wait for that phone call....or the Thanks for Playing email =/ But my background check is solid and I felt the last interview went really well so I'm pretty confident I'm going to get an offer call....and I'm not really ever very confident about anything! I'm good at faking confidence though ;)

Does anyone know if Apple requires me to send a copy of my social security card? I need to know if I need to make a trip to my social security office and get one produced...I mean I should anyway, but...it's such a pain =/

Oh, Okay. Great. All my friends, and current employer pays for our Notary Public, so I get some free stuff signed :p Well I hope all of this happens fairly quickly. By Check just came back today.. So who knows..

Well judging from the previous post by people, you just have to get a I-9 done, and have that verified with either an Apple Store Manager, or have it done with a notary public.

I would say public notary at a bank or credit union. Might be more official or at least appear that way. I didn't want to take any chances. I figured if it came from back there was a number and name and official letterhead.

I did it at my credit union. Probably because I'm 2 minutes from the credit union and 60 minutes from an Apple store.

Thanks for sharing!! Can anyone share their timeline for these activities? Thanks!

When the recruiter first calls you and explains the position, pay, training requirements, etc. then proceeds to setup a phone interview, is that first call from him/her your first interview? With the one he/she sets up being your second? Just trying to figure this all out. Also when they tell you 3-5 days until you receive an email as to if they are going to move forward with you or not, how long until most of you are seeing this email?

In the second interview, she asked what I had been doing since my last employment, 10 months ago.

In all honesty I don't think it matters. I mean cause more than likely your speaking to someone at Cupertino. It seems as alot of "us" friends across the states. And a few on this thread. Seem to have somewhat of a same timeline .. Sorta

Do you think it would help to have my desk and chair all set up and do my FaceTime or Skype interview at the desk? Or do they not care about that??? If you know....

Just got my offer call today ! It took about a week and a half after my BGC being completed but they finally called today. She said i would receive the official offer email next week. The way she explained it she said the offer email was just to like accept the position. (so this means i 100% have the job, correct? ) Im set to start the 5/20 class for CPU Part time!:apple::apple::apple:

It's a small number. But it's just showing that you really don't have anything to worry about. And yeah, I had everything set up! They won't see the desk or the chair. But they will of course senior background and see what type of place you'll be working in.

Who was the last person who interviewed you guys if you don't mind me asking? I just wondering because I haven't received an offer call and I've been waiting about the same amount of time. Others get their calls really quick and I though this may have to do with who did the interview? PM me if you like. Thanks!

When people are talking about emailing their recruiters are they talking about the person that first contacted them after applying or the person that did their last interview? Sorry for so many questions, thanks!!!

The first person that emails you. Ask you the 11 or 15 question survey type deal. And I don't remember her name. I think it was like Caroline.. Are you talking about offer offer call? Or are you waiting for another interview?

Thanks for that info! I've been waiting for the offer call going on a couple weeks and was asking those that waited/are waiting for about the same time who did their 3rd interview. I was thinking this may have something to do with the longer wait but maybe it has to do with their recruiter.
