honestly, I and other people have applied to more than just the sites that are within a 100 mile radius. Dont let distance be an issue. The worst they can say is no, which i doubt.
I was where you are now, thinking that Kelly is better than nothing. It really is not. Kelly will pay you 9.00/hour and treat you like a temp, an expendable commodity. apple, you will make 50% more than that and they will treat you like an employee.
I went through the kelly interviews and even got offered the position, but then turned it down. i am now on my second round of interviews with apple (got the thanks for playing email once already). I am not going to give up until i get the career with apple directly.

For those of you that got the "Thanks for playing" email, how long after your interview did you get that? My 2nd Interview was Monday the 15th, Sorta worried about what my email will say when I DO get it...

since i got the thanks for playing, and i had to wait for it. and normally ppl are saying they are told during the interview that they have moved on....... be prepared to start the process over, however i could be wrong.

BGC completed in less than 48 hours. Time from completion to offer call; 3 weeks.
Wow! Thats a long time. From the time your Bacgkround check ENDED to the date you heard sometime was 3 weeks?
No distance requirement even any more(used to be). You can apply to any at home advisor position no matter the distance.
Yes, from when it was completed. 3 weeks and 1 day to be exact. Heard back very late on a Friday(I'm on the east coast). This was also 2 weeks and 3 days before my training start date, so just barely time to put in proper notice with my other employer.
Oh wow, thats crazy. I can't believe they were going to wait that long. thats kinda scary for my standpoint. I know the proper "way" is two weeks. But currently I'm the Supervisor at a Post Office, and at our station we don't have any temp-PMO's, So I need to give our HR a heads up like at least 3 weeks.. Ugh. I hope that doesn't happen to me.. BCG came back fine Wednesday morning.. So tick tock! What did you do during that whole time? lol
I apologize. The offer call was 3 weeks 1 day after the BGC finished and 3 weeks 3 days before training started. The offer letter(which came 1 week after the offer call) was 2 weeks 3 days before training.

You can. They will see what happened the first time though. I suggest not. Because what if you get the same recruiter or, same people that interview you? That wouldn't make you look good. But in all means if you want too. Go ahead. And what part of the interview are you at?

I have a place on lake james in NC, I can only say, I wish I'd grown up here or close like you have.
My daughters are growing there as we speak.
At the moment I live in a rat hole state in Austin, I guess maybe the only city worth anything in texas.
Your in God's country, please try direct with Apple you deserve it.

I thought i did well also..... and I know i can do it. I just did not "click" with the 2nd interviewer, I am guessing. and when he asked what my favorite app was, I said angry birds. (durrrr) so the truth is not necessarily the best thing to go with. I imagine you can use the same id. What made me decide to change mine was a few things. First, the system does not allow you to post for the same position more than once, so to get your resume out (and if you posted more than once the first time) it helps to make a new one. second, for me I wanted to come across more professional this time around. I got a new email addy that was specific for job hunting. i revamped my resume and cover letter. I started from scratch so to speak, to set the tone from the get go.

Hey there! This is my first post in this thread but I've read through the last 10-20 pages and the info has been of great use.
I just had my third interview this week for part time and got the background check e-mail from hireright the same day. I've got a few questions:
1. Would me receiving the background check e-mail indicate that I have passed the third interview?
2. They said my start date would be May 28th if I was to get the job. Does anyone have a clue if that would be for IOS or CPU?
3. Are there options of taking more than 20 hours on a normal week, or does that ONLY happen near product release / holidays?

May 28th is the start date for iOS training. That is my start date as well.

They are ALWAYS slammed and harder to get good CSTATS there.
Not ALWAYS slammed but pretty busy most of the time. It is harder to get good CSAT's because many of the customers are jerks. Since the public at large has iPhones and not everyone has Mac... we get the lowest common denominator.
