Yep,only that.

Can I ask what is you regular skill set?

JiM

Server installs and Database admin stuff. I just happen to be stuck in a somewhat rural area for now and the commute to a larger city is just too long to be worthwhile. I've saved almost enough to be able to relocate but I'll still need to put in another month or two as an AHA... I won't be able to last much longer than that as I'm fed up with taking iOS calls and my patience is wearing thin.

Some people actually like being on the phone and dealing with consumers. I do not. And while Apple pay isn't the greatest, it is on the high end of what most anyone pays for telecommuters... assuming you're not a professional programmer or something.

Confused.

I am so confused. Here's the deal. According to HireRight my background check completed on the 15th of April but when I go to the hyperlink in the HireRight email it still shows in progress. Anyone else have that happen? Also who should I talk to or email about the status? I don't really have contact information that I can think of for the recruiter. Or should I just chill and wait. I am suppost to be in the 5/20 cpu class. Thanks in advance.:confused:

That's cool did offer you full time even though its for part time

Danigirl84 I was interviewed for part time. I can't work full time and I'm a little nervous about the part time schedule since they select it without your input.

Can a AHA IOS tell me what your part time schedule is and how long did it take before Apple allows you to have input? Also, do you always have to work a full weekend day or can you work 4 on sat and 4 on sun?
Thanks for your replies

Hi - I'm waiting on ANYTHING to come back. I had my 3rd interview on 4/2 which was a skype interview. They did say 2-3 weeks. Today starts week 3. Any suggestions? Should I call someone?

Did they have you do the background check?

Yah I got the job for apple at home through Kelly services I don't start training til May 28 is anybody in that class

*confused*

I haven't had my 3rd interview yet but I received an email today with the link to complete my official Apple application.

I thought you don't get this until after your 3rd interview. Does this mean I have made it; and my 3rd interview is just a formality?? Or are they trying to start switching it up on us??

Hmmmmmm now I'm confused LOL

I've heard that if you just randomly have that happen, that they didn't hire somebody in perticular and they need somebody so they just skip it if they (assume.. they liked you enough), so next is your background check emails!

WOOHOO!!!!! Just what I wanted to hear :) I'm going to complete it today; we'll see if this is the case for me *crossing fingers*

Haha good to hear! :) and Yeah, I don't know if you have already received the emails for HireRight, But just give it time. What I'm almost positive of, is... they skip your 3rd interview, and your BGC comes back clean, and no discrepancies, then your pretty much in.. But just give it time! I'm patiently waiting as well.. :)

I have never met anyone that works 4 hours on Sat. or Sun. There are a few people that have weekends off (not many) but everyone in our groups works 3 - 4 hour weekdays and 1 (usually Sat.) 8 hour weekend day.

It's not many hours (20), the problem is that you have to have to be available anywhere from 8 AM to midnight pretty much 7 days a week. Once you get your schedule you'll be able to figure out how to fit in your regular activities (child care, classes... whatever).

You have no input really until 6 months in and then you can do shift bids. Out of training you can tell your manager that you'd like a certain schedule but there's no guarantee. Shift bids are no guarantee either.

You get the "complete your Apple application" after the 2nd interview. It is to be completed while you wait for your 3rd interview. I had my second interview, then the "complete your app" email came in and then an email telling me that my 3rd interview is tomorrow at 1pm.

What is the exact equipment that they send you for working?

You can in fact trade shifts but lots of luck trying to find someone that's going to give up an 8 - Noon shift and work 8 - midnight. Tons of folks want days but very few want evenings.

Okay, I get the trading shift. But if somebody doesent want to work a afternoon. Can you just take the shift without trading. Like work a morning shift then just work that afternoon that you "stole" do they allow that?

This isn't a 10 man office where you can just say,"hey boss, I'm gonna take Fred's shift this afternoon". It's a huge operation with a huge bureaucracy and every minute of every day is pre-programmed. And you can't just walk up to someone and ask questions because you're at home. As I mentioned in an earlier post, you may work for Apple but you might as well be doing it from the moon.

I'm part of 6/17 CPU class. I got the offer call last Tuesday late afternoon. My recruiter told me I'd be receiving more information in a week or two.

Realistically, when would I receive more info?

When do you guys think I'd get my equipment?

I got a call from a recruiter last Thursday and she told me I'd be hearing back for a interview within 2 to 3 days. I didn't hear anything from anyone today so I littarly just called her to check in. Was I wrong by doing this?
:apple:

Good luck!!

I applied through Kelly services a few days ago and today i got an email telling me to take an assessment test, then a phone audition. I just did both. I thought i did okay on both. How long does it normally take to hear back from them?

I'm not that experienced so i'm not thinking i'll get hired. I have no job experience. I know basic computer things and moderate about smartphones. I've only ever had Windows computers and mainly android phones. I do know most of the questions others have said they have gotten asked during the interview. But i do not know very many technical issues besides the basic.

Do i even have a chance of getting hired?

Also on Kelly services it listed the job as full time. On Apple (i just applied there today) it only says part time. Can anyone verify whether it's part time or full time?

Also for the requirements it says an ergonomic chair. Is there a way for them to know that i don't have one? They do cost a lot of money and i don't have that just lying around.
It also says about a landline. I do have one but its my family's. Does this matter? I talked to my cable company and they told me i would have to get a commercial land line if i used it for work which is $50+ a month.

~I am so sorry for all the questions. But if someone could help me out and answer a question i have i'd be grateful! thanks

You should be okay. Sometimes they are slammed so if its the 4th day. I would've called and left a voicemail. Then I'd give it another few days before calling again (no more voicemails).

There are so many people applying sometimes they loose track of time. You wanna make sure you show your interested and not wanting to miss your start date.

Thank you! And this time in the interviews, I need to remember EMPATHY!!

I have this gut felling, that I *Hopefully* Will be receiving an offer call today :)

It could be very late in the day. Mine was about about 9PM-ish eastern.

Yes you can trade. Not with everyone in your department, only with those on your team or another team that trained at the same time as you.(later after your first 6 months you can trade with other people)
