Did you get the HireRight background check email? If so, don't worry. It takes them a while and they will email you if they need any assistance. Mine took two weeks. If not, then.. I'd be really nervous.

I submitted my HireRight on line form exactly one week ago and it appears to take anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks to hear back from Apple. They are probably not in such a big hurry anymore since the new hires will now be in the Sept. 10th training.

If you had a final interview and did not get a login for HireRight(within 48 hours) or the last interviewer did not tell you specifically that you'd be hearing from the hiring manager then I'd be a bit concerned.

Yeah my last interview was with the hiring manager that was last Monday, told me my recruiter should be getting back with me either in the next day or 2, or it could take up to two weeks, just depending on how busy they were. Well its been a week today, and to my knowledge I haven't received anything from HireRight (been checking my spam folder just in case) - I'm trying not to get too worked up over it, I do have a contract job I'm doing..but its not a long term, its just for a week.

Had to buy some MOCA adapters and redo my home network. Trying to save up money and move out so having to move all the equipment was not too much trouble but still a hassle. Had to swap my main router and cable modem to my room since Comcast provides our home internet and phone. Strangely enough, there isn't any phone lines near the modem so I'll be plugged in directly to it. I also had no idea that this was the new standard O_O. Everyone's using their modem's for their home phones? I though it was VOIP but apparently it isn't. Lucky too that this is a brand new number and since we all use cellphones, nobody has this number but apple. Lol, but yea...MOCA is great, no degrades in my speeds at all. Also bought a new desk and a nice chair. Can't wait to get my iMac this Friday. Here's to hoping that if anyone experiences network problems or downtime, that it doesn't last long.

Well got the dreaded email that I don't have a job with Apple, BUT keeping my head up, does anyone have the link for the Kelly Service's/Apple position? I guess it doesn't hurt to try that out while I'm at it.

For those with Kelly:

How long did it take to get your iMac? I've received the email with the tracking number, but it isn't working yet.

Also, I wasn't able to log in my time for orientation, anyone else having that issue? Unfortunately I've been very busy this week and the only chance I had to call was after Kely had closed. Now I won't get to log it in before tonight :-/

Hi Rums, I got my imac today. I was sent a tracking for it to my kelly services e-mail this passing Friday and received it today. I have not experienced any issues with logging time though.

The easiest way is to go to simplyhired.com and search for "at home kelly" and then choose the one that is in the city that is close to you. It's relatively easy to get hired by Kelly but you may want to review your Apple interviews and try to figure out where you messed up. As long as you know basic computer terminology and troubleshooting the technical questions are a piece of cake BUT both Kelly and Apple tend to focus more on customer service skills rather than technical know-how. I don't know a thing about iPads or iPhones but made it through all of the Apple interviews because of the customer service training I've had over the years.

Afterthought: The mere fact that you are asking for a link that requires minimal effort to find yourself reflects a bit of an issue with initiative. Perhaps the Apple interviewers spotted something that you cannot see yourself... Just my opinion. Good luck to you.

Well join the club of those who moved on to Kelly. I am currently in training and I hope to move up the ladder at Kelly as far as I can. So far it's been a blast and I am looking forward to nesting. Good luck and keep your head up.

For those of you who have started training with Apple, is the training via video(on camera), or is it strictly online and no video? I was just wondering...

My process went about like this:

Saturday July 28th - Applied
Sunday July 29th - Got my first email asking for the 12 or so questions, replied like 2 hours after receiving that
Monday July 30th - Got the call from my first interviewer
Tuesday July 31st - Got my second interview and got the email to set up the third interview about an hour or so later and set my 3rd interview up immediately
Tuesday August 7th - Had my 3rd and final interview, got my email about 3-4 hours later and responded immediately for my background check

Now I'm just waiting for the background check to be processed. I'll be gnawing at the bit waiting, but luckilly I am currently employed and also have a gaming convention coming up next week to keep distracted hopefully haha. I'm staying really positive and I've got my fingers crossed for those of us who are still waiting to hear back. I'm sure I'll see some of you in training!

For those of you who are just applying or seeing lapses in your times, honestly check your email like crazy and make sure you're checking your spam and junk. I think timing is the key here. I made sure I replied ASAP when I received everything and I think that helped at least to some degree.

I guess I didn't get the job after hearing how other people's responses were. Did my second interview on the 2nd and completed the official application beforehand and never received an email for a HireRight login or a third interview.

Bummer. This was a really good opportunity too, onto Kelly Services it is.

Just do some time with Kelly and try Apple again after a few months. Kelly wants people to commit for a year but at $9.00 per hour they can stick it. If you made it to the second interview with Apple then you shouldn't have a problem getting on with Kelly. Their on line assessment is just common sense and their interview questions are pretty much softballs. Kelly is just looking to fill chairs with people that basically know the difference between WiFi and bluetooth and that's about it.

I had completed all the steps you've mentioned above. The background check I am still waiting on. HireRight had to verify employement with W 2's and it has taken about a week now...I've heard the wait is 1-2 weeks. But I guess the starting date for training would be Sept 10th, so plenty of time until then. Hope it goes well for you!

I am in college but I just accepted an offer for a full time position with apple to work from home. I decided to take night classes so that I can work this job. I would like to know if you get to choose your hours or does Apple?

iLight, I did the College At-Home Advisor Program, where Apple would work around our University Schedules. For the position you are in, I would check with the HR representative. I apologize that I couldn't be more of a help.

I'm on day 9 of the HireRight wait. I hope I hear something pretty soon since I know Kelly will be getting back to me with an official offer that I really do not want to accept. At least I haven't received the Apple e-mail of death yet :p

No, their own corporate office does the background check. And from what I can tell, it's a criminal background check only.

Does anyone know if they come to your house to verify the work at home environment? Or do they do it remotely through the webcam?

Hi everyone, I am on my second Skype interview and I was wondering if anyone had any insight on what the role playing part was like and what questions were you asked to role play?

If you are working for Apple, not a third party vendor, then you take a picture of the work environment and send it to the ergonomic team.

I got a 17 inch white iMac, though in most cases you'll get a 22 inch aluminum iMac if your hired from this point on (the advisors with the older imacs will get upgraded ones at the end of April). I still work there but i'm looking for another job at the moment. Its a great job with lots of overtime potential and schedule flexibility but i'm looking for something more IT-oriented and less to do with customer service. call center work can be stressful. The pay is $9.15 /hr which is ok for a part-time student living with parents like myself but even i'm looking for something that pays more.

My one advice during the phone interview is constantly mention how your there to service the customer first and foremost. Apple is huge on customer service. Also mention stuff like first-call resolution, low call handling time, upselling potential (you aren't 'required' to sell Applecare Protection Plans, But they do expect you to mention it on every eligible call) and technology.

Hey, Quick question. If I decide to take this apple at home advisor job, Are you able to dl any software onto these imacs? such as bootcamp??

1. Boot Camp comes on the computer. It is Windows that you are installing.

2. Depending on your manager, some of them will allow the machine for personal use. I would highly recommend against it.
