I had FaceTime interview and was told that next step would be 3-5 days for an email of their decision doe this mean I'm not getting picked?

This is an option which I had not considered as I was unaware that such a possibility existed. Following the link, I found that the OSX self guided training is relatively inexpensive at $299. I reside in a "dire straights" type of area - no real opportunity to make a decent living - college grads are bagging groceries and flipping burgers! My last big break came in 2007 when I was hired into one of the local steel mills. Alas, the economy tanked and now all five of the local steel mills are shut down forever. Due to familial situations, I am completely tied to this area.

Question: What type of edge would undertaking this self guided certification training (passing the exams, of course) give to an Apple Care applicant (or in my case - REapplicant)? I understand that this is an opinion based question, and I seek those opinions. Any insight? Please chime in.

It means they're going to make a decision on if you're a good fit. It could be either way at this point, either Next interview or Thanks for playing. Let us know what comes of it.

Well now that's a very open question, the variables are numerus. It can't hurt, maybe share the cost with small group. The Workforce agency in your area Maybe able to provide training.

What it can't do is help much in dealing with the public. As most thing in it has evolved / devolved, depending on your viewpoint.

As far as interviews, just be yourself as in the end that is what will show thru, at some point and your hired an not a match, well I think we all know what happen then.

You had a nice post related to this, call centers in general. We've developed an entitled mindset in America in a huge portion of the population. Customers can be both wrong and unreasonable.

Good luck and check in with your local workforce office, also good for new people entering the workforce or returning to it.

Best,
Jed

You're expecting a coherent answer from "jedi master"? Good luck with that.

Overall it's a good idea to have as many applications in with as many companies as possible. The catch is that you may find yourself in a position where you have to commit to one company while still waiting to hear from a more desirable one. I had applications in with both Kelly and Apple and fortunately Apple's offer came in 2 days before Kelly's did but it easily could have been vice versa.

Fair point on the coherent answer. It was a noob mistake.

And, yes, I put myself in that position before I found this place and the timelines. Live and learn. All I can do now is hope for the best.

Interesting situation, would think This would be new to Kelly.

May we ask your age. While it is illegal for an employer to ask.

The background would find criminal past if any, but if have never worked or took time off for a family would be common.

Best of Luck,
Jed

Just turned 18 a few months ago. I'm just a little worried since i really want this job. I didn't really want to miss my start date either, but oh well.

So if you started, this would be your first job? Wow, what a way to get started! BGC is all formalities. Are you a psycho who has a criminal record? Nope? You'd be okay in that regard. The only thing I could POSSIBLY consider them knocking off points for is lack of work history, in which case, you probably would have bumped off the initial interview, in my opinion.

Don't stress so much. Hopefully its all well.

have most people been getting their bgc email the same day as their final interview?

Has anyone that's gotten an offer heard the 3 to 5 business days for the third interview? I had my second interview and was curious. Thank you. :)

----------

Also, was anyone else's interviewer late?

I had my third interview last Thursday, and I received my background check email late Monday night. I was told the 3-5 business day reply in my third interview.

Once U get in they are strict

My friend just started 2 weeks ago and he said they already let one person go for not passing the weekly test. He got 2 tries and then the boot. He also said he was a class clown too, so once you guys get in be serious and make sure you are absorbing the information. I have my 2nd interview today, so I hope I do well. He also said some of the mentors there have only been there about 6 months and already got full time positions so the opportunity to climb the ladder seems in reach if your a hard worker. Good luck to you all

Nope , there's not much for them to look into that's why i'm stressing out about them taking so long. I'm hoping to get hired by Apple directly eventually so through Kelly would be a great way to start.

I do have experience fixing phones and Ebay selling experience. That's probably the only reason my recruiter pushed me to the next step.

I'm just hoping they don't decide not to hire me. Maybe i just worry too much, i need to relax lol.

2nd Interview down...

I too, as many here seem to have done, applied through Kelly first. I then learned about the opportunity through Apple and applied there. I need benefits and honestly, the more money the better. That was April 30th and then May 3rd I got the first call from Apple which I missed. Finally got in contact with her Monday and had a quick 5 minute interview. She then advised me that she though I'd be a good fit and set up the 2nd interview which I just had today. It was pretty painless if you've done tech support in the past. He said he's going to recommend me to move forward to the 3rd interview. I guess it's a little more in depth so I'm a little nervous but I think I'll do fine. Originally I thought it was for the Apple care program but this was for cpu which starts June 17th. I'm excited but nervous too. Good luck to anyone else that is still in the process and I hope to join those in the June 17th class.

One question: What should my expectations be for the 3rd interview?

I guess all recruiters do things different. Got my offer email yesterday and all I had to do to accept the job was reply to the email with "I Accept" in the body. But no link for paperwork. I was just told that I will be sent an offer packet and contacted to schedule an upcoming Apple New Hire Paperwork Session.

Kelly does your paperwork online except you have to go in to sign your app and I9. Apple sends you a packet.

Any New Comers.

Or anybody that is in their interview process, BGC.. etc.. Its easy! I don't have a specific time line cause I dont remeber dates and times cause they were so random. BUT. I got a call on the 3rd, or 4th of April... that was my first interview she called me early in the morning. Then a week later I had my second one (sent link to sign up) then had my 3rd interview just a few days later. She liked me. Then She told me it could be up to two weeks before I hear anything.. a week later I get a link to go to jobs.apple.com to fill out an Official App, (Where you apply for jobs, a new link appears in your profile that says something like My Application(i Think)). You fill that out, and a day later I received an email from Hire right that has a link that takes you to fill out your information. a week Later (after some issues with HireRight) they completed it sent it back to the hiring manager. a week 1/2 later, I get an offer call.. Then 5 days later, I get an offer email. That offer email you have to sign and send back that says you accept. After that, a day or 2 later you get something sent through email which is a "soft copy" of your forms to fill out, she overnights you a Fedex with the hard copies, you have to fill out while on a conference call (don't expect to talk cause they have you mute yourself) get your I9 notarized/Signed (whatever you prefer) Call HR to have them see if you filled it out correctly, then Fedex it back with a prepaid label. After that, just wait for emails and calls from your Manager... Equip. everything. I start May 20th, So good luck to everybody and hoped that helped a little bit. FYI. things can be just a little bit different then anybody's else's, don't suggest bothering your Recruiter cause they didn't forget about you. Trust me. :)

I had my 3rd interview today and I think it went okay.

She stated she would be sending my info and everything to human resources and that I would hear from them in a few days by phone or email.

Is this a good sign?

Hi, all!

I'm not sure if the thread answers these questions somewhere along the way, but it's equally hard navigating through these pages and finding the exact answers you're looking for.

I was hired for the college AHA position back in March with a tentative start date of late May. When filling out my paperwork, I didn't have my office set up yet, so I didn't have the extra phone line number and left it blank, since I remember during orientation they told us we could always contact them with the phone number later.

However, I still haven't received any followup from them (apart from the 'meet lala' e-mails), and I'm sort of concerned.

1. When do AHA employees normally receive the iMac (and telephone, correct?) prior to their start date?
2. Should I go ahead and ask my telephone provider for an extra line now ahead of time?

Thank you in advance to anybody knowledgeable in this subject. I really appreciate it because I feel like biting my nails at the moment. :D

Guess i got my answer. Just got an email telling me it's a no go. And i turned down another job offer for this. Great..
