Congrats you must be so relieved! :) I'm still waiting (and willing) my phone to ring with my offer call for the July 1 class..... I don't have high blood pressure but I swear it is rising with every day that has passed since my bgc was completed last Tuesday. What time did you get your call? I'm still hoping on today since I'm on eastern time and figure with the time difference it may still come. Plus my first call from Apple came at 8 PM so maybe the offer call could be the same.

My bcc was completed almost three weeks ago, so it was a nightmare waiting. The call came in around 12:30 est. good luck, and hang in there.

So I got a call back after applying. The call was about 10 minutes but instead of scheduling second interview she said she was passing on info to recruiter and they would contact me in 1 to 2 business days if they were interested. I notice most of you sched that 2nd interview during first... With that in mind does this mean I totally bombed 1st interview?! I thought it went well but not scheduling 2nd really threw me.

I have just applied through a hiring agency, Kelly Services, and they have offered me the position. However I do not recieve the same pay or perks as a Apple employee since this is a contracting agency. Anyone know if I could contact apple and see if they can extend the offer directly to me rather then through a hiring agency?

Maybe i can email them or call any advice?

The fact that Kelly offered you the job would have no bearing on Apple's hiring decisions. Apple would simply refer you to their standard application process.

How long does it take to receive the HireRight BGC email?

I had my final interview today and it seemed to go very well. The interviewer said I would here back from a recruiter via phone within the next 2 - 3 weeks and were shooting for july 15th for training. Im starting to get worried though as most people say they received the background check email about 2 hours after the email.

Finally got my offer call today. I start July 1st CPU! I'm so relieved and excited! :apple:

You have no idea just how happy I am for you! I know what this opportunity can mean to someone. Congratulations! And thank you for your help along the way :)

Yay! You got the call, right?! How do you feel the interview went then? My recruiter, which handled the 1st interview, said she was passing me on but the 2nd interview wasn't scheduled until a couple days later and I scheduled the 2nd through my recruiter.

----------

Just got the "thanks for playing" e-mail I am super bummed out......

I am so sorry Willillist. Where do you think it went South ? You can reapply in 6 months I believe. Hang in there... it's a learning experience and you can do even better the second time around! (((hugs)))

----------

I feel like my answer should have been longer. The second question I think I did okay in. It was a matter I guess of building rapport and empathy which I know how to do. I worked at home as a call center rep doing tech support for another company so I hope that helps some in their decision making. I'm like everyone else... the waiting is killing me :D

Role playing is just uncomfortable to begin with unless you're a natural born actor. It just is. Not sure if I feel like I am lying knowing the situation isn't real to begin with or what, but I have a problem with role playing. Just feels 'unnatural'. Should see me on my porch interviewing myself... that's sanity right there. lol ... hopefully they take all of this in consideration and I am sure they will/do.

Don't freak out quite yet. I'm also in the same boat for the July 15th class. From what the recruiter told me today they are ramping up interviews for this week to get everyone sorted for the 15th class. They the recruiters meet with each other to decide the candidates. They could wait until the end of the week and meet as a team to decide for all we know. Just stay positive and keep a look out for a phone call or email is what I was told. We got through three... that's a good place to start.

Another day waiting on an offer call. UGH! My background check was completed a week ago today and is 100 % clear and its been 2 weeks since my final interview, yet still no call. :( I'm scheduled for the July 1st class but am getting more nervous seeing people here now going through the process for mid July classes. The upside is I have not received a Thanks for Playing email. Am I the only one still in limbo for the July 1 class?

Don't fret. No news = good news. And its been very rare that I've seen on these forums anyone post getting a BGC then getting the thanks for playing (unless you're a psycho killer from mars). The waiting game is the hardest part, but distract yourself. A watched pot never boils.

So Cal
Can't believe I keep getting overlooked lol ... I must be doing something wrong. I've revised the cover letter, keywords, applied to several locations at different times of the day, of the week but nuddin. I've checked for typo's, missing fields, etc. Still nuddin.

Been in sales and customer service for 28 years !

Positive attitude, patience, understanding, education, a bit of experience directly in the field, solid work history, accomplishments and skill sets... I sold software and hardware packages for gawd's sake.

I've set up a call center, worked in chat service, still, nuddin. :( *sigh* Of course, they don't know that little bit because I can't get an interview!!!

Any advice ???

In the cover letter express how you feel about Apple and how much you want to work for Apple.

----------

Snide remarks? Me? Never! I guess since I can't be too snarky with customers I take it out on the forums posters instead.. not that some of them didn't deserver it :)

Anyway, despite the fact that I made it clear to the powers that be that I do not want to go to Tier 2 they decided that I deserved to get promoted regardless :(

Come hell or high water I'm not doing T2 iOS... They'll have to pry the Tier 1 headset from my cold, dead hands.

Lol that sucks. Tier 2 iOS has deadly stress.

I'm in the midst of doing iOS T2 training now but I'll always have the option of not going to T2 if I don't want to. Should I turn down T2 I'm not sure how that will affect my plan to move into a regular corporate position though.

Began the interview process w/ Apple. Received a call yesterday and had about a 5 minute interview for the July 22nd CPU class. I previously worked for Apple through a 3rd party company IN Cpu so I have that going for me. Anyone know which model of iMac they're currently sending out?

Is it a full 40 hrs a week or 20-24hrs for the Tier 2 position?

If at all possible get into the CPU department. The customers are so much more patient and much nicer. I had like 100% CSATs for a 6 month period in CPU and in iOS my CSATs were between 60%-97%... I swear iOS CSATs were just a crapshoot and I think I'm awesome at customer servicing.

If you get into corporate T2 you would make over $24/hr. ;)

My interview was yesterday and I didn't get mine right away either. I think the reason is, based on the times we picked for the interview email, they're doing interviews all week long so they're waiting for those to wrap up and then they'll decide who gets the call or the thanks for playing.

Always remember, no news is good news. Sending good vibes your way! :)

I was in your exact same position only it took 4 weeks from the last interview to hear back from my recruiter apparently they had a question about a previous job and my recruiter forgot to ask me about. After he called and everything was figured out he called again a day later for the official offer but my start date was moved from June 10th to July 1st because of the delay. You might be moved back but since you haven't gotten the thanks for playing email Im sure you will be fine. Just thought I would tell you my story, I also had emailed twice and he never got it it turns out the email that had a link to my recruiters email wasn't right so he stayed on the phone with me while I sent everything to him to verify he got it.

Hi Lark, actually, I had revamped the cover letter and keywords several times to no avail. Then notforprofit or uselessprogress (sorry, not sure which, very grateful though) suggested the resume, I totally rewrote that, submitted and was called immediately! I'm in the loop now!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to notice and lend your advice. Always appreciated!

That's awesome news! Congrats! :) And you're very welcome! I know when I got the call from Apple I was grinning from ear to ear and it simply made my year. I resigned my position and relocated to another state so I was pretty down about that until I got the call. :D :D :D

iOS CSATs are definitely a crapshoot. The biggest problem is that everyone has iPhones/iPads or iPods from the poorest of poor in Alabama to Park Ave. snobs... not true with Macs.

$24 or more per hour is a pretty decent incentive.

I have been sitting on the sidelines for about 3 weeks, reading this thread. I had my third interview on the 31st May, was told I'd hear in 2-3 weeks. I have not gotten a hireright email and believe me I've checked every folder. So can someone honestly answer, do I still have a shot, or should I be realistic and let it go?

Update, got thanks for playing email after contacting interviewer, so to answer my own question, I really think you need that hireright email to move forward.

Personal experience. I worked for a company that contracted with Apple. As a T1 CPU advisor I was making 12.75 an hour and my cap would have been 13.75 after 4 years. We heard that T1 advisors at the Apple call centers made 18-22 hourly and T2 agents made 24-32 an hour.
