I've been on here all morning researching the interview questions, etc., and came across HireRights background disclosure. I was under the impression from other posts that credit didn't play a part in the hiring process but, as I had read it, the whole HireRight disclosure is about credit.

If that's the case I am screwed. Unless they go back 6 months from the divorce where it was 720 but now it's tanked and solely due to the divorce and circumstances thereof. How is credit taken into consideration by Apple? Is this a deal breaker?

Oddly enough it appears as though Apple didn't check credit or verify my education through HireRight but after checking my own credit history a few weeks ago it looks like there was an inquiry from Apple there.

My credit is horrible because of identity theft. And I got the job. I mean my credit score is literally in the 500s because of what this evil SOB did to me. So don't worry.

They verify address, employment and salary history and run extensive criminal background checks though. Like sex offender registry and everything. I remember looking over the results and going "well it's a good thing I'm not a sex offender."

That part worries me a bit. Since I just moved here and don't really have any bills, there's nothing to really prove that I live here. We don't have a mailbox here either. Just use a P.O. Box

They check your previous addresses is all. There was a discrepancy on mine, actually, because there were various addresses listed that I had never lived (where credit cards and such were sent by the person who stole my ID) but it was never mentioned. Not once. So I wouldn't worry too much about that if I were you. And if it is questioned, you can simply explain it. No big deal. :D

That's really great to hear, iCaramba! I just keep picking at every little thing that can go wrong I guess. Now I'm betting if/when I get the offer call, I will be at work. May start leaving my phone on and just answer it if they call. Then tell the boss I quit on the spot. lol.

But about this thread and the members here. You guys are really great. I know I just have started posting, but if it weren't for this thread and you awesome members, I'd never have gotten as far as I have.:D

Thanks guys, I start today. Good luck to everyone else.

I think there are a few others in my neck of the woods as well. I am in southeast Alabama.

Oh Lordy, thank you for that!!! The only difference between your situation and mine is that I was married to "the evil SOB" lol ...Everything else, I'm good as gold aside from 2 seatbelt violations, same place, same month, one year apart. I have now learned my lesson with that particular issue.

Have you checked your profile ? I remember a post that some information and emails were found directly on your Apple profile.

Seems if you felt good about the interview that perhaps you simply fell through the cracks somehow. Have you tried contacting your recruiter? Don't give up!

I did my third interview today. I think I bombed one of the role playing questions. I'm not sure though. My interviewer said it could take up to two weeks to hear something back because they're ramping up their interviews to get everyone ready for the July 15th class. So we'll see.

Good luck to everyone.

Response so fast my head is spinning.

I applied today for the at home advisor and got called withing an hour of applying.

I do have 2 years of work at home support under my belt already, so I wonder if that's why I got a call so fast.

I have a facetime interview wednesday morning. I'm an apple geek, with ipods, iphones, ipads, appletv. Apple Powermac G5 running OS X Tiger server.

I am also A+ certified. This one is not for the college students. Been out of school for over 5 years. I also have over 5 years total of tech support period for PC with an A+ certification.

Hoping I get this as my personal health is making it very difficult to hold a traditional job. Was told the start date would be July 15th.

Again, I have never had a response so fast from a resume submital in my life.

I have checked my profile and everything seems to be the same except the application feature which was added before my third interview. And I have now sent out two emails to two of the recruiters that i interviewed with and I still have not received a response. :(

No news is good news! Hang in there! They may just have a situation on their side to sort out. Think positively about the situation. Thoughts are energy and positive energy makes a difference. ;)

I'm sure you did fine. I am curious to know why you think you bombed it? Was it like a nuclear bomb or a little ole firecracker thingy ? ;) You made it to the 3rd interview so you must know enough and have been doing something right!

I feel like my answer should have been longer. The second question I think I did okay in. It was a matter I guess of building rapport and empathy which I know how to do. I worked at home as a call center rep doing tech support for another company so I hope that helps some in their decision making. I'm like everyone else... the waiting is killing me :D
