I ordered one from wayfair.com and it was only about 40.00 after shipping cost... Didn't need anything too expensive or whatever as its just for work LOL
The cat is actually pretty feral... lives outside and comes in to visit. Stays in during winter though.. but he's a homicidal maniac when it comes to chipmunks. Scares the crap out of dogs too.
I am in the new employee training class on July 29th 2013. Anyone else? Also my email says Customer service training for AOS for 4 weeks starting Aug 5th? This is through Kellyconnect.
Hey, I forgot to ask you. I've seen you mention "performance" and this job a couple of times here, what does that actually mean? Are we suppose to hit like an unreasonable goal of selling apple care to 1 out of 3 customers (much like the goals of selling extended warranty at some retail places) or solving issues for customers who forgot their password?
There are a number of factors that go into performance, some weighted more than others. 50% of your overall performance score is customer satisfaction and call resolution. Average handle time and schedule adherence are about 20% and so and so forth. Apple Care sales account for 5% of your overall metrics. The job is all about customer satisfaction... if they really pushed us to sell Apple Care I would have quit long ago.
That being said, they would like you to get 3 sales out of every 100 calls but I've been at 0 the past 4 months and they haven't said a thing. I can't sell worth a crap so I don't try much.
Honestly this is great to hear. I figured that at least 50% would be first call resolution type deal and customer satisfaction. Would have guessed more like 30% Apple Care sales. I can sell but would not want to devote my time at this job selling. Looking to move to Tier 2 or CPU at some point and from there on up. Would love to be Genius in store one day but hear they don't care for AHA's too much :/
Why on earth would you want to end up in retail? The people we have in AHA that used to work in Apple Stores were happy as heck to get out of those madhouses. Besides that, AHA are corporate employees not retail and as such, have more advancement options.

Anyone have any pictures of their office setup? I am getting mine prepped here in the next two weeks before training and it would be awesome to see pictures if anyone wants to share!
Thank goodness! 0 in 4 months and your getting promoted? Well I'm glad there's no sales pressure. I'm so ready to get out of that environment. Also I'm glad we are on the corporate side of things. I'd just hate getting STUCK and not making advancement. Are raises annually? How often have you found your phone calls recorded or under review? The more I talk to you the more I wonder how on earth can you dislike this job.
The worst part is the waiting.
I applied late last month and finished my 3rd interview during the first week of July. I submitted the hire right information and my bgc came back a week later. Its been over two weeks since my bgc was completed and no word back from Apple. The training class I was being recruited to was the August 12 class and it is coming up quickly. The more days that pass makes me feel increasingly less likely I got the job.
You more than likely got the job since you made it to the background check stage, but they probably are going to push your start date out. happened to me
Hey soi. I had my 3rd intreniew July 3rd and then had my background check. I just got my offer call on Friday. I was suppose to start aug 12 but they pushed me back to sept 9. I'm sure they will do the same for you. Hang in there.
