I wasn't informed of a 3rd interview. I was told to keep an eye on my email for further instructions. Im guess a yea or nay email.

Wish u luck! Like abananas said, it's laid back and actually fast. You'll do well. My second interview including all the maps clarification was 21 min long. She said the third interview will be about 20 min as well, but FaceTime.

----------

Thanks but no thanks email?

Got my " Thank you email " too...

I'm assuming that's the email I will get. I hope it isn't, so I'll just pray on it.

job offer

I just received a call last evening saying that my interviews were great (3 total) They said that I definitely have the job assuming my background check comes back good. This morning I got the background check email. They called my job that I am currently at now to verify my employment ( I answered the phone ) lol

Did you make it to the third interview?

They gave me the standard prep info for the third interview:
-will be in depth
-will be technical
-will have role playing
-"be enthusiastic about your apple products"
-be prepared to discuss your customer support experience
-emailed me links to apple support site ("be prepared")

I, of course, am freaking out. I have made flash cards with ALL published interview questions. But, if this has mapping in it, I don't know what to expect.

Anyone know how "technical" third interview questions are?

...

Those of us on the inside were finally told about the new maps positions yesterday and offered a chance to move over if we wanted to. I'm not willing to test out the waters in a new position since I just got the one I'm in now but I wish all of you that are just now trying to hire on the best of luck. Keep us in the loop on how it works out once you're in. :)

Mine is Friday evening. I am going to have to take a xanax or something. I am nervous. lol

This is everything they told me in the interview I had Tuesday for my next interview on Thursday. So I'm guessing Thursday is my third interview since my first was before they switched to the Maps position.

I hope your third interview went well. Please let us know what it was like/what they asked.

I am curious to see how "in depth" and "technical" it is.

Cant wait to hear back! :)

Maps 3rd Interview

Hello all,
I just got done with my 3rd interview for the Apple At Home Advisor: Maps position.

The first interview was great but probably the hardest (though still pretty easy) out of the three. It was over the phone and asked a lot of tech questions.

The second interview was the easiest and done over Facetime. The interviewer was one of the nicest ladies I've ever talked to and didn't ask any tech questions, it was all about customer service and your work history.

The third interview was a little nerve-wracking as it was a mixture of the previous two but the questions were a little more difficult and hard to answer on the spot. It wasn't anything extreme but some questions were very similar and I wasn't sure if I had answered it wrong the first time and they were looking for a different answer or if I was missing something that made the questions different so I'm just hoping I didn't stumble on those.

The man who interviewed me the third time told me I would wait a week or two to hear back on whether I got the job or not and that he would be sending all of the information off to a supervisor or something so I hope that's not a bad sign because I quit my current job for this one because of how badly I want the position.

If anybody has any questions about the process feel free to ask. :)

Awesome! I'm rooting for u!

What did they ask on the third interview? How long did it last? And was it FaceTime as well?

The third interview was over Facetime and around 20-25 minutes long.
I was asked a range of questions, here are some I remember.

Have you ever used longitude and latitude to find a location?
Tell me about a time that you had to do repetitive tasks while learning something new.
Tell me about a recent time you had to learn something difficult.
Can you step by step lead me through how to teach somebody with little to no technology experience how to use something (you can use an example)?
How do you keep yourself from becoming distracted?
When have you had to use skills that you believe are relevant to this position?
Tell me a little bit about yourself.
Step by step lead me through how you solve a problem.
How do you help others solve problems?
How do you keep up to date on technology?
Tell me about a recent time you had to learn something new that is technology related.

This was the best one
What single device would you bring on a long road trip?

Wow. Thank you so much. These are fairly ok questions but mostly new compared to what's been published before.

They had me "update" my application profile on the site. It was requesting:

-state of my college,
-contact info for previous employer
- and 3 professional references.

I provided all that and was caught off gaurd too. It does seem they're tightening qualifications.

Thanks so much for the info!!

Tahlequah, OK
Finally got my call to set up my 2nd interview. Was also offered the opportunity to make the jump to the new Maps division. Next interview is on Monday. Anyone have some of the interview questions from the 2nd interview for Maps AHA?

Anyone have some of the interview questions from the 2nd interview for Maps AHA?

Mostly customer service and discovery questions...
How would you deal with an angry customer?
Tell me about your previous job.
What did your previous job duties include?
Why did you leave your previous job?
Tell me about a time when you had an aggravated customer, how did you handle the situation?
What tech devices do you have?
How do you use your devices in your every day life?
All that sort of thing...

Hello All,
Very useful and interesting information. However, it does seem as tho the peeps from kelly services are left out for the most part even though it's the same job, or is it the same job? Anybody from kelly with any info or tips or expectations? How would anything differ from direct hire thru apple aside from employee benefits obviously?

Yes, they said it starts November 11th.
I'm trying to keep the faith. Haven't received an email yet. Not sure if that's a good sign or not. :)

It is my third. Don't count yourself out yet, the training class I'm hoping for doesn't start till November.

----------

I did role playing on my second interview. I already work at home so I talked a little about what I do. Actually no tech questions.

Mostly customer service and discovery questions...

Thanks for the info. This will really help.

I wonder if by role playing they mean this:
"Customer calls and has dropped her iPhone and it's broken. What do you say?"

Btw my interview this evening is my fourth one.
First was for Spanish which I didn't qualify for because I was not a native speaker. She referred me to the aha English position.

Second phone call was a standard second interview for aha. I was moved onto another interview scheduling.

Get a call for my third scheduling which turns into the aha maps change, and they redo my "second interview". Now I move onto my second maps interview, but fourth one overall.

FaceTime will be awkward for me. Lol

Finished my third interview. Pretty much the same questions listed above. Very relaxed, went very well. Said I should "hear back in a week if not sooner."

Good luck everyone! Drink a beer to take the edge off the nerves this weekend :)

Fare-thee-well

This will most likely be my final post as I no longer have a connection to Apple Inc. or Apple products. I was in fact terminated for violating the NDA with a couple of my posts here so consider yourself warned: If you do post after you become an employee be very cautious of what you say because they will find you.

I will miss your posts as you were the most honest on this board. It is also a great reminder to cya when you post.

I'm sure it's AOS that's why I was wondering did anyone else in the oct 7 class receive an email stating that they were AOS. Does this consist of any tech support or just online orders??

Kelly here also, i also have the AOS, sorry i didn't respond sooner but I just found these older posts.
