Just received the phone call (and email) with job offer.

The last official work I had was 4/2009. I was beginning to feel too old (56) to be of any value. It was because a close friend - over a month ago - sent me a link describing the At-Home Advisor hiring that I'm now rejoining the world of the employed.

Am in the 10/8 start. Waiting for paperwork in the mail, and the plan is to then sign up for a paperwork session conference call TBA.

Those who are waiting, I KNOW how hard it is to be patient. Best to us all!!!

:)

Congratulations!!!!! How long did you wait for your background check?

Kinda personal question BUT anyone who made it through background have not so food credit. I just find running a credit check is a bit much. I'd say due to the troubling times in our country a majority of people have bad credit.

----------

Told him I was sorry about his situation and would be more than happy to gather some information so I could research some possible solutions.

I said "as an avid iPad user I am definitely sorry it's broken, my iPad is a big part of my life and it holds so much important information so again, I'm so sorry to hear that. One of the great things with the iPad is iCloud which you can access from any computer to get your term paper"
i said

'i'm sorry for how you feel i can understand these types of situation can be frustrating . first i'd like to ask how long have you had the ipad? .. may i ask what's the serial number? ... now unfortunately applecare doesn't cover accidental damage but if you'd like you can bring it into any apple store and they'll take a look at it for you and take care of it for you, any thing that you may have had on icloud would be backed up. if you give me a minute i can look up a location close to you'

FINALLY got a call to set up an interview! Set up interview for tomorrow, waiting for the confirmation email with the times. Recruiter said it is for the November 5th training class (ouch!) ... I feel like the waiting is never going to end lol

No credit check, only criminal going back 7 yrs, and employment 5 yrs.

----------

I did and he was fun. If you read my old posts I posted the questions he asked me. Don't have time to rewrite them all. Gotta get back to class.

Yep any notary will do. I went to Jenny at north park and she knew exactly what to do. Smooth process.

Where is North Park? I'm new to the Dallas area.

The interview is thru Kelly. To be honest, I hounded them via email and phone calls till they finally sent me an email saying they were going through the assessments as fast as they could and I would hear something soon lol .. I would prefer to be hired directly thru Apple but hey, being in there is better not being there at all!

Disregard, I see the North Park Store. Frisco is closer, I'll call them and test the waters. My daughter wants to go to an Apple Store, so I'll just do it there instead of a much closer notary.

Anyone interview via FaceTime with Brian? My recruiter said he is very technical. Any pointers? Thanks!

I did my second interview with Brian. We interviewed over the phone, even though I had my Skype info up-to-date. He is a bit technical, and asked me about a time when I had to work with an upset customer.

My interviewing is for the November 5th class as well.

How do you think it went? Think you'll get the job?

Applecare+ does include accidental damage coverage of an ipad and iphone.

The interview with Kelly is fairly easy. They will ask you some basic questions and then you have to do a mock call with the recruiter pretending to be a customer who can't connect to the internet. You seem to be a very positive person so I think you'll do great! Good Luck!!

what if you have a warrant for a non payed ticket

I'm not sure where that falls. They could view that as irresponsible? I have no idea, and could only speculate. You can request the report when it is complete. That way you will know what they see. Good luck though.

Depends on where you're coming from. If you ate coming from downtown Dallas, you would get on hwy 75north. Exit northwest , go thru the next light on the service rd and go left(west) at the next light. The mall is on the left side. You can't miss the traffic on a weekend. Especially this weekend.
there is also a store in Stonebriar Mall in Frisco.

You are right. This is true and they are teaching us all of that in training. But my answer sufficed fine for someone who has no prior knowledge of ios except my phone. They hired me.

Got my official application and scheduled my 2nd Skype interview, the one with the hiring manager.

Its Thursday at 3pm CST!

SO EXCITED but very nervous! I hope I do okay. My tips from my first Skype were to make my answers more concise... so I am praying I don't ramble on most of all.

Also, just received my rejection letter from Kelly after doing their online assessment a while back. Thought that was kinda interesting. Appears they have two different standards for hire..

I'm also in the Dallas area like a lot of yall, by the way! Seems like they're hiring a LOT around here. Wonder why specifically.

Just relax during the process, and think simple straight forward answers. Is it plugged in? Is the modem on? That kind of stuff. Don't ramble. Mention empathy or being empathetic. Smile and seem relaxed and happy to be there. Dress for an interview. That's my pep talk, and I wish you the best of luck from Wylie.
