Just relax during the process, and think simple straight forward answers. Is it plugged in? Is the modem on? That kind of stuff. Don't ramble. Mention empathy or being empathetic. Smile and seem relaxed and happy to be there. Dress for an interview. That's my pep talk, and I wish you the best of luck from Wylie.

Thank you Wylie alllllll the way from Garland! :)

Got my official application and scheduled my 2nd Skype interview, the one with the hiring manager.

Its Thursday at 3pm CST!

SO EXCITED but very nervous! I hope I do okay. My tips from my first Skype were to make my answers more concise... so I am praying I don't ramble on most of all.

Also, just received my rejection letter from Kelly after doing their online assessment a while back. Thought that was kinda interesting. Appears they have two different standards for hire..

I'm also in the Dallas area like a lot of yall, by the way! Seems like they're hiring a LOT around here. Wonder why specifically.

I concur with Pilot DC's advice. Got my fingers crossed for you! You'll do great!

I wonder why Apple continues to direct hire for the same positions that it has retained services from a job placement agency to fill? It could have entered into contract-to-direct hire terms but apparently did not..... Interesting. One thing I considered when deciding which route to take is that some employers are construed as "traditional vs. nontraditional." Nowadays resume-polishing is an extreme necessity to advance in today's workforce.

I have not. I think we are supposed to get a call in the next couple of days though. Getting close.

I was wondering for those starting the 9/24 class if you have heard anything yet. We were told in the phone conference that we should hear from our managers on 9/17-9/18 and I have not heard anything yet.

I have not talked to anyone yet either. I think some of the 9/10er's on this thread didn't talk to their managers until the Friday before the class. I'm really looking out for the equipment tracking email :D Can't wait!

First initial call

Received my first initial email yesterday with the questionnaire and got a call with in the first 5 minutes of sending the email. Pretty brief conversation regarding my information and some initial questions regarding What did Ram stand for and what CPU stood for and what the difference was between hardware and software. Failed the first two questions as I was so anxious that my mind went blank but the lady told me that she would forward my information and resume on to a recruiter and should hear something with in the next two business days....I'm hoping for some high hopes as I work a part time job right now and no advancement as they are strict on their full time slots as if a full timer does not leave then a full time slot would never be available to me. Now anxiously awaiting a hear back from the recruiter.:)

I applied for Full Time work directly through :apple: it starts out at like $14.50 an hour. I'm just hoping because this seems like a great job. I have had 3 years experience in the customer call center field and I enjoyed it but this would be even better working from home. A bit of experience in the technical field along with my associates degree in Information Technology but a little new to the Apple field.

I heard from a manager yesterday who confirmed packages would arrive Thursday or Friday. I'm sure you will all get a call by close of business today. Look forward to meeting you all Monday :)

Did you already have the phone call interview?

Yes I had my initial interview with a nice girl named Kristin yesterday after submitting my questionnaire. She advised me that she would be sending my resume and questionnaire to a recruiter and should hear something with in the next two business days. This was yesterday.

The second interview via skype or FaceTime will consist of some chit chat and some technical questions like;
1. What's the difference of RAM and ROM
2. What's hardware
3. What's an operating system
4. What type of computer do you use and what's its specs
5. How would you troubleshoot email not being sent (answer: check outgoing server settings)

Go back about 20/30 post on this thread and there are a lot more questions asked. Good luck :)

It went well. They said they're sending me on to a third interview with a Manager. I'm just waiting on an e-mail.

My second interview also went well. I am also waiting on the email. Hopefully we will be attending the same training class!
