For the class starting 10/8, when can we expect our first paycheck? Are we paid every 2 weeks, or semi monthly (15th and 30th)?

THE BIEBZ!

This thread's mood is super bipolar and it cracks me up every time I come lurk.... which is often.... bwuahahahaha.

:p

Anyway so I'm going through the process for the 10/22 class right now. HireRight was sent out Thurs 20th and on the 25th I got an email from them asking for my W2s from my employer from 07-09. Now Mr. Previous Employer is making this pretty difficult so I'm just going to order them online to receive them electronically (for a price, of course) and hope they end up paying for themselves soon enough!

I'm soooo paranoid Apple is going to drop me while I'm getting this junk together. I feel like the Wheel of Fortune song is counting me down to getting booted while I'm rounding up paperwork! lol Lots of hurry-up-and-wait and then frantic moments sporadically thrown in the mix!!!

My fiance has his 3rd interview tomorrow and I'm PUMPED for him but also nervous.. I think I will be completely crushed if he gets an offer & I get the dreaded rejection email after this emotional rollercoaster! Haha. Apple is showing us all pretty early in the game that this will be about PERSEVERANCE! haha. or luck, it seems, in some cases...

Fingers still crossed! For y'all that are still waiting too!!! :apple:

I'm mostly concerned about hire right now. What the heck kind of background check is this. Any previous background check has never asked me for a single thing. Very weird. I would tell them to do their job!

... another perk of the other at-home customer service job with a reputable company (that I'm interviewing for on tomorrow) is: work holidays, except Xmas and Thanksgiving... but the medical benefits with Apple won me over for sure! It's customer service duties and not tech support.

Unfortunately, it is more customer service than tech support :( If I stick around long enough I hope to get to tier 2 or the CPU (OSX) support group.

Class starts in a sec and I did not have time to read all the posts but as far as geographic location... that has very little to do with the hiring process. I'm in rural midwest and another guy in my class is WA state. About 1/2 the class is in Texas but that's because Austin is the second biggest Apple campus.

If you want health benny info.... all their options are thru

...Since the other company has proposed a start date in late October, I intend to use it as a backup plan in case, for some reason, I do not successfully accomplish my goals with Apple....

Interview with "the other company" went well. The unit manager and I hit it off and she said I did very well at the end. Decisions, decisions..... It feels good to know I may have a safety net if I don't make it through Apple's training process (but I'm an over-achiever and know I will make it through the training). I cannot reiterate the suggestion to search for other work-at-home or work-from-home positions with other well-established companies if you don't land one of these babies with Apple. Apple, however, is my first-choice.

I'm happy for you!! The difficulty is finding work from home positions. I am in th process of applying for two more ;). The application process is a bit daunting though. The one for Apple was a breeze

Same here! FEDEX left around 10:30 my time. Woot Woot! MyPage details yesterday but it's pretty generic until Monday.:) The iTunes redeem code was pretty cool....didn't expect that!

I got all the way to the offer stage with Teletech at home and declined due to being hired with Apple. Century Link is also hiring at home agents for customer service.

Asurion is also hiring home-based customer service employees.

I previously worked as a paralegal for one of its vice presidents and associate general counsel when he was a partner of a private law firm. He put in a good word for me but I haven't heard anything yet. Besides, I prefer the Apple opportunity anyway.

Ugh. Hireright told me background check was completed and I just got email response from Apple saying its not completed yet. Called hireright back and they said they are still waiting on info from a court record for speeding ticket in 2011. Ugh why different stories from hireright!

From all the posts, sounds like hireright is a disaster!

What is amusing is that they care about a speeding ticket. This job has no driving in it. I guess they do their records checks all the same way but that seems like a huge waste of time. Though I suppose the number of tickets and what they were for might say something about your character perhaps. I dunno.

Yes HireRight is a disaster and a joke I think. I mean after being fined for failing to actually verify information on applicants you would think their customers would question anything they've done.
