What are the medical benefits? PM me the details.

Not sure whether you're asking about Apple's benefits or the benefits of the other company. As for Apple, SCIONTX highlighted some of its benefits in previous commentaries. I also shared a previous post that somewhat compares and contrast the at-home customer service job with the other company vs. Apple's opportunity. Since the other company has proposed a start date in late October, I intend to use it as a backup plan in case, for some reason, I do not successfully accomplish my goals with Apple. I suggest, that you google or search Indeed.com for work-at-home or work-from-home jobs and see what's out there.

On today, I also had a telephone interview with another well-known company for its work-at-home customer service position. It pays less than Apple (a little over $11), has a prolonged waiting period before eligibility of medical benefits; no paid time off for part-time employees, and pays for telephone line installation but you have to eat the costs of monthly services -- no additional reimbursement or utility compensation incentive.

The only up was that you're guaranteed 30 hrs per week and get to select your schedule b/w the hrs of 9-11, one day on the weekend and work holidays. However, you're committed to the selected schedule for one full year before you can revise it; you're not required to be available during peak hours either.

We're very fortunate to have this opportunity with Apple.

//Losing hope

I was salted for the 10/8 class - had 3 interviews and the background check. I have not heard anything from recruiter ( and not sure who it is) when I e-mailed my point of contact, they said my recruiter would be in touch. I started the process 9/4 for the 10/8 class, and it seems that class has already had roll call? Had a buddy apply after me and got his call today for the 10/20 class :( any advice?:(

10/20? Or 10/22. I'm slated for 10/22 and haven't heard anything yet :(

Have you contacted HireRight to find out if/when your background check was completed and results forwarded to Apple?

Wed is the deadline to send in paperwork for 10/8 class. There were several people that didn't show up when they had roll call.

The first time I contacted HireRight, they stated Apple has the background check first and then forwards it to them. The 2nd time (2 days later) they told me my background check was completed the week before.

I wonder if you 10/8 folks who haven't heard anything have the same recruiter. This is very strange being that there were several absentees at the paperwork session. But then again the only way you get an invite to the paperwork session is if you "Accept" the offer via email AND sign up for the paperwork session.

Interesting. There was no roll taken during my new hire paperwork conference. I assumed that each participant was issued an individually assigned participant number and use of that number to dial into the conference call confirmed the participant's attendance.
