HireRight stated my BC was completed on the 14th of September but from my conversation today it seems Apple does something more once they get it back.

Man so essentially all you can do is just sit and wait. That's a long time. Hopefully I get the job with enough heads up to get a phone line installed!

Do you live in that area? Only reason I'm asking is because I haven't heard back from my area and others have said to try applying to a lot of other areas as well.

Also, good luck!

I do live in Louisville and applied for Louisville. I would try to reapply for the same area. can't hurt....;)

Thanks for the update, i'm hoping that apple is just waiting to call me for a later class. I was thinking about applying for other cities as well, but wasn't sure if I needed to be within a certain range of the city. I'm currently about 40 miles from louisville, KY. The next farthest location is Fort Wayne, IN. which is 230 miles from me. I think i read someplace on this forum that it was a 100 mile radius, but not %100 certain. Anyway, thanks again :)

when did you all apply?

----------

I am in the same boat as you.

any word yet koolaid drinker? i am sooo tempted to email the recruiter :D

----------

I just got my offer call!!!!

congrats!

Do you know if when you actually pass all of the tests if you get any type of 'Apple' certification? Just curious...

They are not cert tests but you do have to pass them if you want to stay employed with Apple. The tests are geared toward the the types of questions you'll be handling as an AHA as well as how to log calls and how to research stuff in the internal knowledge base.

Uh... There's WELL over 10,000 calls coming in every day. For iOS there's WELL over 30,000 per day. When you start ask your trainer for a link to the monsterboard... there's a nifty widget for it too.

I wonder how many bad csats ios agents have been getting because of the new ios 6 update that took off google maps.

Thanks for the info! I would ultimately like to get Apple certified since there seems to be so few certified techs in the area. But I'd still be excited to work for Apple in whatever capacity. :)

BG Check has been completed.

Now, I guess, it's a waiting game.

Anyone know what the time frame is for an offer call?

Called Hireright and said that my BG check has already been completed.

So now, I am waiting for my offer call hopefully.

I am tempted as well but I will wait it out .
Although, this waiting is killing me as I am pins and needles.

Anyone receive their boxes yet? Who's team are you on? It seems I am on team.

Fedex left automated message boxes will be delivered tommorrow. FYI pilot you should edit out your team managers name that way to much info on the forum.

Hope I don't have to wait that long LOL

I don't think i could make it waiting two weeks!!!:eek:
If it were two weeks before i hear anything i would not be able to give 2 weeks to my current job :( even though i'm leaving it i would still want to leave on good terms in case anything went wrong.

But i'm with you just trying to think positive but i did wake up to a nightmare the other night that i had gotten the dreaded "thanks for playing email"

Waiting...

I submitted my application on the Apple web site on September 25, and received the "thank you, we got your application" response email. I have heard nothing else. So I wait....

Well it sounds like the problem is hireright. They appear to be a pain in the ass. Any other job I've applied for as far as background check was concerned took three days before I was made an offer.

Got the 3rd interview with hiring manager over with today (yeah)! Now crossing fingers anxiously for the background check email... Interviewer was very personable, laughed quite a lot and seemed to be pleased with my answers. He did state that he was hiring for the CPU team (although it's only part-time) but that his team had no problem working full-time hours recently. I haven't seen a full-time position posted in my area in over a year. Now I wait.....

My BC was completed on the 14th and I got my offer call today

Do you know if they called your references or why it took two weeks from completion of BC for the call? i ask because koolaid and I both have completed BC that have been sent back to apple as of this week so maybe knowing why it will take two weeks will help alleviate some of the stress of waiting :)
