In other words:

In other words:
- max, Apple Watch, apple silicon, air tag, air pods, HomePods, more services (makes more revenue than jobs’ apple), beats, Apple Pencil, bigger iPhones and more innovation. Plus most valued company.

Pretty much all of apples success under Tim Cook can be attributed to Tim Cook.

In other words the most ground breaking revolution being apple silicon was significantly downplayed. I’m going to upplay it.

No they didn’t.
Apple originally became the world's most valuable company under Steve Jobs, FYI. It's a lot easier to be the CEO that maintains this achievement than it is to be the CEO that was responsible for making it happen in the first place. Jobs turned Apple around from being on the verge of bankruptcy to being the world's most valuable company. That is far more impressive than what Cook has done.

Steve died because he believed in voodoo medicine. I don't find that so impressive.

Again, he's been dead for a decade. Time to move on and stop comparing the Steve and Cook. It's not Steve's company, and never will be again.

Wish he’d get a move on to be honest. It’s been good Tim but things could do with bit of a shake up now I feel

Of all the people to sit down with why her? He’d be better off with…well…a journalist…ideally from a tech background like Zoe Thomas or Mark Gurman.
And bore us to death?! Dua did a great job giving the audience a better connection to Tim Apple.

I’ll be honest with you I can’t think a memorable interview with those guys. Just being fair. But you do remember Dua’s smile and her fondness of Tim. Don’t you?!

Why does it need to be a competition? Steve Jobs definitely saved apple yes and he will forever be remembered. Tim cook
Has also not only continued jobs legacy while forging a modern path and evolution for apple. Jobs no doubt was a game changer but he was stuck in his ways that I do feel like apple of today wouldn’t exist. The very same products jobs was against (phablets for example) turned out to
Be raving successes for apple.

I think the only young-ish prominent Apple exec is John Ternus. Everyone else would be super old by the time Tim is likely to retire, so my money's on him.
A possibility I haven’t thought about either.
Although, Apple has many more executives than they did before Steve died. There’s a few others I’ve seen on the presentations that could be good fits… just can’t think of their names 😂

Yeah, it is a shame we only ever saw the original Macs, Mac OS X, the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, among other things because of Steve Jobs (and company). But hey, Tim Cook is a good bean counter so there's that.
Does make you wonder if the fact Tim Cook being gay makes people feel a certain way. Similar to when women take over as CEO and their tenure is dissected and overly crotofal

Does make you wonder. But i digress.

Wow, I mention one of Steve's biggest accomplishments and you reply talking about how he dealt with cancer. I see decorum is out the window here. And whether you like it or not, it will always be Steve's company because he was one of the founders.

Great interview!

Tim Cook is undoubtedly one of the best CEOs Apple could have. I don’t even want to think about the pressure the future CEO will be under to maintain such high standards.

I would imagine the pressure in the second row at Apple is almost as high and to step up from there is probably manageable.

I'm sure some people do feel a certain way because Tim Cook is gay. I'm not one of them though and I certainly wouldn't befriend anyone in that group.

I don't have to "like it or not". He's gone, end of story. Yes, he was impressive and he did great things, over 10 years ago.

Again, time to stop comparing, and time to look to the present and forward instead of a DECADE behind us.

I always find it interesting that Tim mentions his concern for overuse of mobile phones. Not so much desktops, laptops, or tablets, but specifically phones.

Anecdotally, this past month I have been aggressively cutting down my phone usage (from 3hr/day average down to 1hr) and I feel like I’m becoming a different person. It’s quite strange… You start finding yourself in situations where you’re the only person in a room not looking at a screen.

For the kids. They think these random interviews are cool and it keeps them hot on Apple to buy their stuff. It’s not about information it’s about advertising to a generation that is too impatient to finish a TikTok longer than 30 seconds (my son).

He doesn't talk about it a lot, but the "screen time" feature tracks across all Apple devices.

My phone weekly phone screen time is about 45min/day, and about the same on my Mac.

I bought my first Apple computer in 1986 (a 512K "Fat Mac"). I've owned Apple stock shares since the return of Jobs in 1996, and worked for Apple from 2004-2015. Jobs saved Apple for everyone who loves and uses their products and services. Tim Cook made me money. Lots of money. Thank you, Tim!

Yeah, you do have to like it or not. And I won't ever stop comparing them. You have a great day now. Sounds like you are in a great mood already!
