While Mr Cook is more likely a Democrat (or left-leaning independent), there are gay Republicans. There is an organization called the Log Cabin Republicans which is a right-wing LGBT organization.
The moderators helped a lot too. But I feel that hiding these views away doesn't actually make them go away.
I dont give a hoot about peoples sexuality...although the thought of one guy noshing on some blokes todger does make me heave a bit..
