Me three! I was in no way ready to give up my Touch ID which works flawlessly. I'm scared for when I have no choice, but I'm super happy I went with the 8 plus.
iOS 11's release today should help pass the time. That said, since a lot of you guys/gals already have your shipping info, I'm going to be checking mine a lot more often in hopes that it ships early, lol.
Still nothing for my sim-free 256GB SG 8 Plus. Like most of you I'm assuming mine is already in the US somewhere and that I may not see movement until tomorrow or Thursday.
My Apple silicone case is supposed to be here today and my two Belkin wireless charging pads should be here tomorrow so that's something to look forward to. Upgrading from a launch day 6 Plus so I'm pretty excited. My wife has a 7 Plus and the camera, especially portrait mode, is a real improvement.

Am I the only person going from a plus to a regular 8? I've had the 6s plus for two years now and the size of the phone has really gotten on my nerves. I'm excited to be going back to a smaller phone!
Most of my family went from a 6+ to a 6s this year/last year. A lot of people are downsizing that I know in real life. I've stayed with the + but definitely wondered about the non+. Had I not given my iPad away, I'd be a lot more comfortable with the non + as a primary phone.
I know a handful that have done this already.

When I bought my 6s plus I used it for everything. Since, I've bought a MacBook Pro and now I use that for everything and only use my phone when I'm away from it. I think the smaller phone will be perfect.

Not true in my case. I got the 6+ when it came out and everyone laughed. "It's too big" they said. Fast forward to last year - of the 6 grown kids and their 6 spouses, 11 have iPhones. Ten now have the 6S+ or 7+.

If Apple hadn't come out with the 6 Plus in 2014, I would have switched to the Galaxy Note. I've had a Plus since the 6+, and my wife has an iPhone 7. I've used her phone a lot to see if I'd like it, and I have determined that I cannot go back to a phone that small. There's so much less text on the screen, photos and video are too small. The smaller screens are not for me. I hope to see a Plus in the future that extends the screen to the edges rather than keeping the current screen size and lopping off the bezels. I run with my 7 Plus, and the size does not bother me at all, but that's me.
My order has a FedX tracking # with it but Fed X is instructed to hold these orders for Friday delivery.

Same here. I went from the Note 3 to the 6+ then the 6s+. I couldn't ever go back to a smaller phone. I do everything with it too. I read books on mine, watch videos, do practically everything (even taking notes in class with an external bluetooth keyboard). lol
I hope so!! I'm starting to get worried. Mines been stuck at "preparing for shipment" the past few days.

It's just a bit nerve racking and frustrating for me. It's my first time preordering. I usually just go to the store day of or a few days later and hope for a phone. LOL
