Seems to happen to us each year and we get sucked in. I was pretty calm until all the assumed planes showed nothing and then finally the hour ago departure of UPS99 had our phones. Yes UPS wins shows I know little about logistics maybe they were cleaning the glut of November 3 phones before ours started really moving I really do not know.
Last year LOL I was in the contingent that had their flight diverted to Taiwan in advance of the big category 5 hurricane. And of course the flight got delayed by 24 hours but the phones did make it launch day-- very close and a few who were further from the main Louisville hub did not get theirs launch day but day later.
We do get too obsessed don't we LOL

They’re not dorks for posting here. They’re dorks for getting so aggressive and angry over speculations on whether UPS messed up theirs delivery, when they still have 2 days to go.
Agreed 100%. Somehow these guys know more about the timing of shipments than UPS. I think UPS has a tad more experience and data to support their projections than some random dude tracking flights on flightaware.

Keep trying the stores. Some stores have supplies even today.
Was lucky enough to get an iPhone X 256 Silver at the Sherman Oaks store. Not the one I had ordered online but the temptation and lack of patience worked against me. Very happy with this device so far.
I didn’t, so I cancelled and walked into an Apple store and bought one.
Kind of ridiculous that they had availability at 2PM on a Saturday but quote 2-3 weeks on people that preordered within 20 minutes of it going live.
Ours was changed to 16th-24th, then to 6th. It’s in Louisville now, with 6th delivery per UPS

Call the store with a good story.
If the Apple site and iStocknow show your Apple store as having no stock, then it's basically like the lottery - you're hoping to walk in, just after they've received a shipment - before anyone else is aware of it (as, as soon as it's scanned into store inventory, people will be reserving it for pickup).
