If you look at the flight patterns from Incheon (Seoul, Korea) to Anchorage on FlightAware.com you'll see that there is only ONE flight per day, usually departing Incheon around 11am (Korea time) each day. My phone is among the same group and those phones did not make the flight yesterday. Today's flight took off 35 mins ago link to flight here.

My guess is that the UPS tracking will update within the next few hours with a depart Incheon time as being 11:22pm KST. If the phones did not make today's flight, I'm expecting the delivery date which was for the 10th to get bumped.

Yeah they will usually wait for the plane to fill up. No telling how many phones are on the pallet but with only one flight per day, some orders might sit there waiting for more items.

Anyone else looking at the same tracking?

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of the ONE flight (Jesus that's insane for iPhone shipments) from Incheon. So far I'm holding at 11/10; maybe mine made it on this plane.

What is the next stop after ZhengZhou?

Your tracking should end up looking something like this:

Awaiting Clearance Zheng Zhou (China)
Depart Zheng Zhou

Arrive Incheon (South Korea) 2 hours after departing Zheng Zhou

Depart Incheon - look for flight number UPS99 on FlightAware.com to see when the next flight out of Incheon to Anchorage is. It's usually late morning (their time)

Arrive Anchorage (Alaska USA) - 7 hour flight from S.Korea

Depart Anchorage - generally a few hours after arriving as there are many flights out of Anchorage

From there it's most likely headed to Louisville KY, and then to your local UPS facility. Once departing Alaska, it's generally around 24 hours before it's at your local UPS hub.

Keep in mind that the UPS tracking times are local to where the package is. For example, I'm on the East Coast so Zheng Zhou China is 13 hours AHEAD of me. My phone had a departed time from Zheng Zhou of Monday 9:13am, which was Sunday 8:13pm EST.

So for East Coast USA (GMT -5):
Zheng Zhou is 13 hours ahead (GMT +8)
Incheon is 14 hours ahead (GMT +9)
Alaska is 4 hours behind (GMT -9)

So, everything fine until this morning...China to Korea to Alaska to Kentucky....and now apparently its stuck in Customs again? In Kentucky? Wouldn't they, I don't know, check off that box when the phone first came into the country?

FWIW, I have arrive Incheon 11/7 7:52PM. Delivery was to be 11/10. On Apple's order page I have delivers on 11/15, but now the message "Shipment in Transit - Delayed" is appearing.

At least it doesn't say "Trump in town, you're gonna wait bigly now".

Because that would be the final straw.

:mad::)

UPDATE:

After a google search it seems that for those who had a later delivery date on Apple's site than what UPS was reporting.... get this... APPLE intentionally requests that UPS delay the delivery to match what Apple's estimated delivery date is - regardless of whether or not UPS could get the package there earlier.

Bizarre! Which means I get my phone on 11/15 and not 11/10. No big deal, but really something that makes no logistical sense on Apple's part.

No, it doesn't run through customs in Alaska. No idea why, but it hits customs in Louisville.

It’s always import customs in Louisville, presumably because that’s where the pallets actually disembark the plane to be distributed across the country.

As far as I know, this Apple-dictated delay is only for launch day deliveries, as they are often sent to the US in time to be delivered before launch day under normal circumstances.

Same boat. 11/17-11/24 > 11/16-11/24 > 11/10 but stuck in Korea. Called UPS. The guy said it is in customs in Korea, but sees no issues and it should still be delivered by 11/10. I’m not going to hold my breath.

If it leaves Korea any time today, you should get it on the 10th. Once it is out of there, the BS usually stops and it goes very quickly through AK > KY > Delivery.

God I hope so. My delivery date still hasn't changed but still. All those nut bars afraid of world government need to order more international products. How many borders does one phone need to cross???

Now i'm getting a Nov. 14th date on UPS.. Apple still says the 17th. Last I checked I was still ln "Gi-na" Still looking for a case.

That's what I thought too, which is why it's bizarre to read. But it's not beyond the realm of possibility considering Apple's tight control over everything.

Def. not true. I have received all of my previous iPhone ALWAYS before they due date in Apples website. Sometime even a week ahead with the 7+ last year.
