haha, that would be hilarious. i am almost certain that it has to do with the volume of shipments overloading their systems. I'm sure they're keeping tabs on where everything is but that information is not getting out to us - the impatient iphone addicts crying about our 1st world problems. (myself included!)
I'm pretty sure this is my flight, UPS 99… Almost in Anchorage at this point. It left at 11:19 PM Korean time on the 14th (15th actually over International Date Line)… My departure scan time from Incheon said 12:32 AM 11/15 in the UPS app.. But I'm pretty sure the UPS app uses my time zone… So I think 12:32AM on the 15th, with a little time for loading the plane, would translate to an 11:19 PM flight out of Incheon?
After arriving in Louisville, mine left within 6hrs to Seattle. Not sure why yours is still stuck there.

I ordered October 31 with the same shipping date. I just spoke with Apple close to us and they have none and their shipping dates are not till after Christmas

don't forget the extra $30 for the activation fee (I call it the Sherriff of Nottingham tax). Blows my mind how folks gladly pay $1,442 for the phone but then go ape sh#t over that extra $5 deliver fee or $30 activation fee - hahaha
Mine flipped to preparing for shipment within the last day or so. My credit card was charged yesterday and I've heard that happens when they actually allocate a physical phone to my order.
I haven't been watching it that closely since my delivery estimate still says Dec 1-Dec 8. With previous iPhone orders, I've found that preparing for shipment status doesn't last longer than 24 hours or so.
This would mean my "real" delivery date could be early next week, before Thanksgiving and would be a significant improvement over the 5-6 week delivery estimate I received on the morning of 10/27 when I ordered my 64GB Space Grey iPhone X.

Called in again to UPS and was pretty much told, "Sorry, call back tomorrow if there's no movement." This has been such a weird and frustrating situation. I thought I was one of the lucky ones to go to Shanghai and not Korea but now it looks like even the people who were in Korea for 5 days are getting their phones before me. I am honestly baffled how/why my phone would sit in Louisville coming up on close to 72 hours now. Guess I wont get to set up and enjoy my new phone for my day off tomorrow...
Got mine. Paid for a 2 hour window and they came 2 hours before window opened. Amazing. Nearly missed it.
Phone seems amazing, trying to sync it now. Sadly, right above the front camera, the stainless bezel was polished poorly for an entire 1/2 inch, light catches the spot constantly when using the phone and displays the flaw. Why couldn't the flaw be on the bottom or something, not right at the top near the camera? haha.

You can't. You just have to make a guess on which plane it's on based on the departure time of your phone and look up UPS flights flying out at around that time.
Hit the little carrot next or just above the latest scan and it will expand.

Iphone X in Space Grey for Verizon ordered Oct 27th 6AM, First Delivery date Dec 11-16, then changed after launch date to Dec 1-8.
Status changed today to Preparing to ship . How long after changes from preparing for delivery does status change to Shipped.
Delivery date still listed as Dec 1-8

For me, mine literally changed from preparing for shipment to shipped in about a day so I don't think you're going to have to wait much longer
