Well Phone made it to Louisville arrival 1.15 am Time to clear customs. It should be there for about 24 hours before being loaded on a truck to Columbus then to Pittsburgh. I should see it Friday. I was hoping for Thursday but that is not gonna happen

Though still with weird cryptic messages and app doesn't say "on truck for delivery"... hmmm..
Congrats on the phone and enjoy the hell out of it. I did exactly what you did - cancelled my preorder and within 2 days I had my phone in my hand from a local store. Screw apple for leaving my order status as “order in progress” for a whopping 14 f*cking days. It drove me mad !!!!!!!

An aside - my wife’s SG 256 att was delivered yesterday. She ordered it on preordering night and got it yesterday.
Within 30 minutes, she did an iCloud restore on it and was back in business. Absolutely the smoothest transition process ever!!!!!!!!!

I bought a glossy white spigen case for mine and with the weight of the phone, the glossyness of the case and screen, the experience is absolutely buttery. It’s the only way I can describe it. Going in and out of apps, the animations etc are all so velvety smooth!! I’m seriously loving this thing and for me - I’m on my phone all day long - the price is absolutely justified. Please don’t crucify me for saying that. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear this. I was in the same boat as you but decided to take things into my own hands. I cancelled my order on Friday and got my phone my damn self on Sunday. I hope you can cancel your order still - before it ships - then just order one for pickup at your local store.

Yeah. My Spidgen clear thin case has been in my living room for a week.. just waiting for a phone.. lol.. The last thing I need is for Zagg to update their invisishield glass screen protector line for the iPhone X. No phone is complete without a screen protector.
I can't stand all the micro scratches that everybody gets on their phone when they go "naked". They claim they have no scratches but 100% of the time I'm able to prove to a person that they have hundreds of micro scratches after a couple months with no screen projector. They're always there. You just have to be able to see them in the proper light with the phone angled away from you a little bit to see the true surface of the screen.

Not gonna lie, I'm guilty of this. I always have a non-protective/thin case on my phones w/o a screen protector. some of them act like a filter on the screen and i hate that. i want clear, un-hindered access to the screen bc the protectors sometimes skew some of the colors/brightness/etc. But i agree 100% with you, every one of my phones has had scratches on the screen but they're not like really noticeable lol
Well as I feared my iPhone will not be coming today. UPS is holding it and sitting on the package until the scheduled date of 16th. I think that is bad for ups to do this for such a important package, but what Can I do? Nothing, so I have to go with the flow. Only one more day to go. Oh well originally it was Dec 11-18 moved to November 17-24 then pushed up only one day more to 16th. So still I am thankful for the 4 week break via Apple, anyways, I should have it tomorrow finally but who knows with ups. This time it wasn’t Apple that held on the phone but UPS. Oh well.
Mine was supposed to arrive tomorrow, but it's still sitting in China (back and forth with 8 scans in ZhengZhou only).
Not sure why they are playing ping-pong with iPhone X and not letting it go... How a package can be stuck in one spot while others (ordered later) around it can board planes and keep moving is baffling.
I am tempted to call UPS, but I am not sure if that will help, or annoy me even more. There must be a batch that are being held due to paperwork, or whatever (even though it cleared customs).
I think part of the problem are the cryptic and oddly sorted UPS scans. Shocking that they are still this bad.

Well in my town, we have 4 Apple stores here and none of them have any iPhone X ‘s in stock any configurations. Maybe by Christmas time they may start trickling in a few at a time but they are gone in minutes usually.
My wife's phone when ordered was quoted as delivering Nov 17-24. CC charged and shipping notification happened Saturday. It sat there for a few days then skipped Korea and went from China to Anchorage. It arrived in Louisville this morning and is scheduled to be delivered Friday.

As of about 25 minutes ago (11:05PM China time), mine entered the "sitting in ZhengZhou, China" phase. Based on this thread, it can linger there for several days before it starts moving again. This timing still beats the delivery estimates I was getting when I ordered my 64GB iPhone X Space Grey (5-6 weeks) and even the most recent delivery estimates (Dec 1-8) I was seeing before my order went to "Preparing for shipment" status Monday night. I might see my phone before Thanksgiving or perhaps 1 or 2 days later and that's fine with me.
I often use my phone in the rain and when my hands get wet, the touchscreen no longer works and my fingerprint no longer works properly. I'm hoping faceid works better in bad weather than touchid. It will be nice to be able to use my phone with touchscreen gloves and never have to take them off so it can "see" my fingerprint.

review: i ordered mine on preorder night and something happened to that order. it was confirmed and everything but my status stayed at "order in progress" for 2 weeks. then i cancelled my order last friday because everyone was getting their phones at the local stores!
so then I reordered mine this past sunday morning and had it in my hands within 4 hours. it's still possible. just gotta wake up early enough, make a nice cup of coffee, and camp out on the apple site for 15-ish minutes to place your order. i am impatient and have self diagnosed adhd. alternately, if you have an hour in the morning, go to the apple store 1 hour before it opens on a lazy weekend and get it in hand that day. many people are doing this.
my rush to get my iphone 10 is bc i have an iphone 6 plus that i've been using for 3 years and i wanted new tech. this is the longest time i've ever kept a smartphone lol

I ordered my 64 GB Space Grey iPhone X about 3 hours before your order. Mine also initially showed Dec 11-18, then it improved to Dec 1-8. Mine went to "preparing" Monday night and my delivery date estimate is next week. Preparing to ship status lasts roughly 24 hours. They are working around the clock to make these things. Mine got it's UPS "origin scan" at 11:05pm China time.
Hi all, my iPhone X first popped up into UPS on 11/14. Currently it has listed an Export Scan from Shanghai on 11/15 8:13PM. Anyone in the same boat?
UPS just notified me that my iPhone will be delivered tomorrow even though it states arrival in Louisville. Nothing else. It probably will get here tomorrow but the wait this year has been more of a pain than previous iphones. Glad the wait is nearly over.

Same here. This is no big deal. I think customs inspection happens in China which is why the phones spend so little time in Anchorage, AK. Based on reading some of the entries in this thread, it seems they can sit for up to 4 days in China in this status.
