Finally OUT FOR DELIVERY TODAY! Once the journey began - it was only 36 hours from China to my doorstep.

But it was hung up in China since 11/9!!!!!! Amazing.

I believe the only explanation is indeed that Apple is "directing the symphony" here and telling UPS to hold certain shipments until others move. But it seems so random.

I DO understand a policy where they'd want their IUP people to get phones ahead of other preOrders. I also understand why Premier Business clients with carriers would also get theirs first. But it's not ONLY those folks getting ahead in the line.

Mine will be at my house when I get home tonight.. but I'll hang out a few more days to see how the rest of you pre order folks are doing.

Are there ANY Nov 17-24 people still with only ORDER IN PROGRESS status?

Hi all, my iPhone X first popped up into UPS on 11/14. Currently it has listed an Export Scan from Shanghai on 11/15 8:13PM. Anyone in the same boat?

Mine shows an Export Scan from Shanghai on 11/15 5:51 pm.

OUT FOR DELIVERY!!! It's crazy, the thing was in China yesterday and by the end of today it will be in my hands. The other thing that's crazy is that here I am a grown man tracking my package and looking out the window like a 6 year old does with Santa!

This is my sentiment too. When I got the phone, it was like I got a bb gun like that kid in a christmas story haha. i love tech but the reason why i was so impatient/eager to get my phone was because i had been using a 6 plus for 3 years and wanted to jump on the latest technology. so glad i made the big leap bc it's easy for me to see how much better of a phone this is compared to it's predecessor.

I called UPS... they had no additional information and didn't know why the tracking still shows that it's sitting in China after 5 days.

The rep even said that 'it might still show up tomorrow'. Hmmm, okay, thanks? I don't mind waiting, as annoying as it is, my main concern is that I need to make arrangements for someone to sign for it, so I need an ETA before the day of.

However, I noticed that in my Apple order email and on UPS app tracking status, they both said 'no signature required'. Is this true? If so, isn't this a first for Apple and iPhone deliveries?

This is not true. I am in NYC and my wife had to sign for her phone delivery yesterday. It's a high ticket item and signature is definitely required.

Mine shows “no signature required” on Apple.com and signature required on my UPS tracking.

No arrival scan at Louisville for my order yet. The two flights that correspond with the Anchorage departure scan both arrived a few hours ago. Hopefully my order is just sitting, waiting to be unloaded or scanned and isn’t still in Alaska waiting for a flight.

That's what I thought - so odd that Apple would show that (UPS too). This is why I need accurate tracking... UPS has no idea when my package will be arriving.

From previous posts on this heft thread, people have seen their status go to extremes like "shipped" and then the only other update they get is "out for delivery" or something similar. You are not the only 1.

I was supposed to get my iPhone X on 11/16...but now this. Anyone know what's going on with that or got the same message?

Finally got notice that my iPhone is shipping. I ordered on Oct 27 at about 7:30 a.m. EDT, so about 4 and half hours after they started taking pre-orders. I have a November 27 delivery date now. So it moved up about two weeks from the initial estimate.

cancelled my pre order after I found out my store got some x’s in stock. They only had the silver in 256 by the time I got to checkout but color wasn’t an issue as I was putting a case on it anyways. Also picked up some AirPods. Love them and understand the hype now lol. The phone is amazing coming from a 7 plus. I thought i would hate going to a smaller form factor but I actually enjoy having the large screen on the smaller phone without all that extra bulk on the top and bottom. Good luck to all of you tracking your phones. I remember tracking planes like a mad man for the Apple Watch release in 2015. Stressful times but worth it lol. Enjoy your new phones when you get them! (Hopefully soon)

Just another thing to add... Check istocknow and set up notifications!! Apple refreshes stock at 6am and the guy at the store told me they get them in almost every day but only in sets of about 10 or 20. Gotta be quick!

Same here. 2 shipments about a week from each other, both are showing "mechanical" delay with no delivery date.

Interestingly, my shipments were from Shanghai China and the one that should have shipped first, the tracking never showed leaving China since 11/10.

Wondering if some of these phones are recalled back. I cannot comprehend how mechanical delay happens at the same time in China and in KY.

Arrival scan at Louisville. Looks like the arrival scan was a bit delayed getting into the tracking system - the time stamp is a few hours old.

Maybe in NY.. not the rest of us. None of my iPhones with UPS nor FedEx have ever been marked for signature required. Some drivers take it anyway. But never required (outside of big cities I guess).

my rush to get my iphone 10 is bc i have an iphone 6 plus that i've been using for 3 years and i wanted new tech. this is the longest time i've ever kept a smartphone lol
And, boy, what a piece of crap that first Plus (6+) was. Only 1GB Ram.. Those of us who jailbreak our phones and tweak them out would notice the 6+ auto respringing all the time at the slightest load applied. Even too many tabs open in Safari would bring that CPU to its knees. Too much screen for that CPU. Ugh. Worst phone Apple ever made. Amazed you stuck with it that long.,

I'm sure that you're feeling like you have a SUPER COMPUTER in your hands now!! Lol.

Can't wait to unbox mine tonight when I get home..

A lot of you have been talking about restoring from backup to your new phones.. and though I know it's a REAL pain resetting up a phone - you really should ALWAYS Set Up as New to any new phone. There are little corruptions of data that can happen going from one Firmware to the next major firmware level. Especially if your last restore was from iOS 10.. coming to 11. If your last restore was already on 11... less worry... still not a great practice.

But I help out people with their iPhone issues for a side job - and 9 times out of 10 where there's some slowness or weirdness in a person's iPhone - a full "restore/set up as new"- solves everything.

IF you MUST do any restoring - do it from an iCloud restore only. Never from iTunes itself which saves more data.

Remember to always back up your photos to iPhoto on your computer. The only thing you lose setting up as new is gaming data, and open chat sessions and camera roll.

Resetting up calendars, contacts, email accounts, though a pain, is just safer and all in cloud .

So, "kick the restore habit" !! .. SET UP AS NEW - always!!

Sorry for all the posting... lol.

I thought one of the perks, ordering from Apple, is that you got to see your new phone in your device list (with its serial number) at Apple Support. Mine is not there and yet out for delivery. Did they stop that practice?

Finally got my Import scan after sitting in Kentucky for over 72 hours... Still no movement since then which was about 4 hours ago but at least it's something.

Apple still says Nov. 20th but UPS changed from Nov. 17th to 16th after it being the 16th initially.
Mine is still on time so we'll see if I get the iPhone X in my hands tomorrow when I get off from work!
Sadly, I won't be able to use it until the 27th since I'll be going on a trip out of country and would rather have my almost dead 6Plus with me than a shiny new iPhone X.

I never trust FedEx after what happened to my MacBook Pro - (I had custom configurations via the Apple Store hence it was only available for shipping to home addresses) FedEx left it out in the rain on the front of my doorstep. Never bothered to knock or anything even though it Apple had stated it required a signature.
Second time was my Apple Watch S2, don't recall if it was UPS or FedEx this time but they also didn't require a signature - said it was delivered and left at the doorstep. Didn't see it and peered over at my neighbor's doorstep. Sure enough, I see my name on it and swooped in to grab it before someone got a free Apple Watch that day.
I have instructed my mom to watch for the UPS truck like a hawk tomorrow if it really does end up deliverying on the 16th.

UPS just notified me that my iPhone will be delivered tomorrow even though it states arrival in Louisville. Nothing else. It probably will get here tomorrow but the wait this year has been more of a pain than previous iphones. Glad the wait is nearly over.

I hate it when they say delivery date unknown , doesn’t that bug you? What is your tentive delivery date?

There literally isn’t one. It says “delivery date unknown”. My order arrived on launch day and my wife has been upset ever since then. The whole order process for her phone has been jacked since the first second. This is stupid!
