Not only is that wrong.
I think there is something wrong with the tracking we normally get for iPhone deliveries.
Not wrong. As I said earlier. In 10 years of iPhones - none have required signature.
None of my apple deliveries required signature. Both from apple and ups. My X was left yesterday. They likely have a formula for risk management based on theft/lost package claims by area. If it is below a threshold they likely take the risk and leave it to save on re-delivery costs.
Just and FYI only customers considered medium to high risk will be required to sign. It's all based on location. I have to sign, but I'm also in an apartment.
This makes logical sense to me as to why some of us would have very different experiences with signature.
Those of you guys who picked ‘pay in full’ through your carriers (I have verizon) and it asks for account info and tells you about the payments you have left on your other phone, etc does that affect anything? I mean from what I’ve been told, that info is mainly used for activation. The reason why I ask is because i have the 7 on my line that’s still getting the $650 credits from trade in last year and I don’t want to touch that. I just want to buy the phone outright and use it.

My experience with iPhone launch deliveries has been hit or miss on if a signature is required. We live in an extremely safe area and this year I had to sign for both iPhone X deliveries this year. They came on 2 different trucks for some odd reason. One just before 12 PM and the second one just before 5 PM.
Last year, no signature was required for the iPhone 7 but the previous iPhone SE's required a signature and the driver did a hit and run and I had to track it down at the UPS CC with a very large group of other unhappy customers.

The 6 am restocks have not been happening in my area this week (the last time was Sunday). So frustrating! I didn't order on Sunday because I wanted to do iUP and the store wouldn't let me do it online for T-Mobile. I then went to a store and confirmed that if I did buy a unit full-price, they could transfer it to iUP for me, but no units.. and a lot of lost sleep! Wonder what's going on with the supply. (Obviously know it is backed up for online orders, but even so there used to be a few units restocked almost every day).
Now mine says 11/15 @ 2:53 pm "The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / Your package was released by the clearing agency." So maybe it wasn't on the flight I thought it was on but this one instead, it landed in Anchorage at 2:48pm.

This is the best super computer I’ve ever held in my hands. As for the 6 plus being a crappy phone, I actually loved it and I don’t really use or install a lot of apps and that keeps my phone super responsive and not weighed down needing a ton of processing power

A lot of you have been talking about restoring from backup to your new phones.. and though I know it's a REAL pain resetting up a phone - you really should ALWAYS Set Up as New to any new phone. There are little corruptions of data that can happen going from one Firmware to the next major firmware level. Especially if your last restore was from iOS 10.. coming to 11. If your last restore was already on 11... less worry... still not a great practice.
But I help out people with their iPhone issues for a side job - and 9 times out of 10 where there's some slowness or weirdness in a person's iPhone - a full "restore/set up as new"- solves everything.
IF you MUST do any restoring - do it from an iCloud restore only. Never from iTunes itself which saves more data.
Remember to always back up your photos to iPhoto on your computer. The only thing you lose setting up as new is gaming data, and open chat sessions and camera roll.
Resetting up calendars, contacts, email accounts, though a pain, is just safer and all in cloud .
So, "kick the restore habit" !!.. SET UP AS NEW - always!!

Clearly we all have different experiences with iPhones. I've never signed once in 10 phones.
I ordered 11/4. Delivery window has always been 12/6-12/13.
New iPhone Xs now have a shipping window of 2-3 weeks, which is before my window. I’m assuming mine will get updated to a much sooner window soon? Anyone else with this issue?

Yes. I ordered on 11/9 and had a 12/11-12/18 delivery window. This morning it shifted to 12/8-12/15. But I feel like it might be here sooner since it’s already been a week since I ordered.
I also ordered a SG 64gb (t-mo) 11/4 with the same delivery window of 12/6-12/13- haven't had any changes yet.
I have a question about an iPhone (purchased from Apple for VZ account) that has my number in it. What happens if it is being sold to my friend unopened?
Both of our Verizon phone numbers were used to purchase two iPhone X. Later, my spouse decided the phone was ugly. If I sell that phone to my friend who lives in CA, if she turns it on, it will deactive the old sim card, right? I wonder how I will get this issue fixed. I see hundreds of posts on FB selling iPhone from VZ. I wonder how they do that. I do not want our number associated with that phone (hence we will also have to pay 30 bucks for the upgrade free?).
Any help is appreciated. Else, I will return it to the store unopened.

Looks like ours are were on the same plane from AK to KY. No movement yet, other than an arrival time stamp. Was 11/17 for delivery, but was changed to 11/20 the other day on UPS tracking.My wife's phone when ordered was quoted as delivering Nov 17-24. CC charged and shipping notification happened Saturday. It sat there for a few days then skipped Korea and went from China to Anchorage. It arrived in Louisville this morning and is scheduled to be delivered Friday.
