My phones on the way from Louisville to Memphis stopped off in Nashville along the way.

Took about 2.5 hours to get from Louisville to Nashville. That’s also how long driving directions take it.

I’m betting Apple is getting these things close and then UPS is using trucks to get them where they need to go. Probably cheaper that way.

If you see not much activity over several hours and no flights leaving where there should be, this is probably why.

I reckon you're right, as my phone left the Apple warehouse in Harrisburg today to later arrive at New Stanton, which has a huge UPS center.

That's the general route. I live in Dallas area so it comes from Louisville to directly here. Happened with my 7+. But store pick up option is fun. That's what I am doing this year.

I ordered on the 19th (Delivery date Sept 26th) and just a while ago, my order status changed to "Preparing to ship" and my credit card was charged. Is there a chance I might get mine tomorrow as well ? Does Apple ship to arrive on a Saturday for iPhones?

Yes Apple ships on Saturday via FedEx, Saturday delivery is good usually drivers wants to go home on weekends so they deliver packages early morning or afternoon. Even UPS delivers on Saturday. Did you try tracking your package on FedEX & UPS? Does your order says Next day shipping?

Both companies deliver on Saturday, but Apple does not pay for that service...there are no scheduled deliveries from Apple on Saturday or Sunday.

I’m in the same boat and I will be legitimately amazed if we get them tomorrow. They might ship tomorrow and show up Monday though, that’s a lot more likely.

Same here. I ordered 9:48am on Friday. Was bummed to see 9/25-10/2 for the delivery date. A few days later it changed to 9/26. Then a few hours ago my CC was charged and status changed to Preparing for Shipping. Still says 9/26 delivery date next day air.

Your situation is tricky as it your apple status hasn’t changed plus there’s no info on both carriers it’s possible you will get next week. If you really want the iphone this week talk to apple rep over phone tell them you will pick the iphone in Store on Friday. Maybe they will cancel this order and place new one and they may have inventory list. If they say they can’t then go to line outside store and buy from there and cancel the online order. Can you call them now? Maybe they are open because of California time.

So you updated your 6 with the new iOS that came out on the 19th? How’s it run on there. I’m not updating my 6 yet as I’m worried it’ll be slow.

My iPhone 7+ also came on Saturday last year... but there were issues with weather and mechanical (aircraft) issues that caused delays ... people tracking their phones saw them bounce between China and South Korea ... ultimately, some UPS/FedEx shipments were delivered on Saturday because they were late due to weather/shipping issues... but they were scheduled for the previous day (Friday)... again, Apple does not pay for Saturday deliveries. Last year it was UPS that did the Saturday deliveries, not Apple.

It's not slow-slow, but it seems to handle fewer apps at once now. I'd been running it since the GM was released to developers last week and hadn't run into any major issues.

If its going to ship and arrive on Monday i'll be ok. I work tomorrow and the closest store is 3 hours away lol. At this point it is in "Preparing to Ship" and not sure if it be canceled. I'll go ahead and wait I guess lol

I totally understand. I used to live in Arkansas and closet store was in Tulsa (in another state). Not that we have so many as NY... but I have 6 Apple stores in 25 miles... and the one I am picking my phone is 2 minutes from my office.

Last year, I also did store pick-up and my phone was not there. The store apologized for my inconvenience and gave me a case. My phone was ready 2 days later.

Its 12:34 EST and my phone is still in Harrisburg, PA. I'm getting a bit worried. Its next destination should be Sparks, MD and it usually gets there at ~4-5am of the day of delivery so that truck should be leaving soon.
