So who was the "expert" who previously said in this thread that there's no way Apple will be able to hold all these phones until we get closer to Friday. Well guess what, they're damn sure doing just that. My phone along with many, many other peoples' phones left AK Monday night which means they've been sitting somewhere since then.....

Apple said no, its requires a 20w charger. The one included with the 11 PRO/MAX was 18w. So I find it insane.
I know my OCD had me order the new 20 just for that, Apple playing with me haha. Even though the 18 would only likely charge slightly slower.

Quick side note: anybody else buy an unlocked phone and plan on putting their AT&T SIM card in it? I know it’ll work, they’re the same size, and I know I’ll be able to use the phone as normal. But what I don’t know is if I’m missing out on any features because I have a 3 year old SIM card from my iPhone 8 that I’ll be using. I don’t think I will, but anybody who has done this for AT&T before and can shed some light I’d greatly appreciate it!
AT&T said that using an existing SIM card will work and you can get 5G. But to actually access 5G you have to have an unlimited data plan/

I've been handed an ipad charger but can't remember what the W is.... its just the standard ipad plug and nothing fancy.. guessing it will charge quicker than the old 5W but not sure how much faster!

LOL

Correct, the only carrier explicitly requiring new SIM cards is Verizon to ensure proper 5G provisioning per their support article on activating the iPhone 12's.

Just discovered that FedEx's Contactless delivery is not so contactless.

I purchased a case, 20W charger, and the MagSafe charger and they were just delivered. The problem is that I woke up on Sunday feeling awful and I was advised to take a COVID-19 test. I got tested on Monday and I'm still awaiting my results. Meanwhile, the FedEx delivery man requested a signature. I told him through the closed glass patio door that I'm waiting for results and shouldn't touch his scanner and he got annoyed that I couldn't provide a physical signature. Does FedEx not have procedures for this? Anyway, he left the two packages on my doorstep without a signature. Will they leave my iPhone on Friday? (Hopefully my test comes back negative by then!)
Wow! I can’t believe FedEx doesn’t have contactless delivery! Good luck with your Covid test. Feel better.

Perfect! I have an unlimited plan so 5G is accessible. But with the recommendations of getting a new SIM with each new iPhone I may just swing into my local AT&T and grab one

isn't it $5 for a Sim Card?

I would do the exact same thing, but having switched off Verizon less than two weeks ago, I think my sim card adequately new.

No, Apple Stores and most carriers will give you a replacement simcard at no cost if you ask. Now if you dont have an existing account and come in trying to get one yes they will charge you, T-Mobile also charges $10 for their SIM cards because they bought Sprint and think they are hotsh*t now.
